Yeah, that "the college" just has a lockbox sitting around with petty cash for meteors, too. I get that it was a joke considering Jordy was a yokel but rather it makes me appreciate the perfect blend of silliness, pulp comic, horror, and just thorough entertainment that this movie is.

If he'd of really thought about it, he could've waited for it to cool down, gotten some thick, long Rubber Gloves, and taken it somewhere where he could've really benefitted from it. I actually cried, when Jordy died at the end. It's bad enough he was down on his luck, and then THIS happened to him. Out of all the characters in Creepshow, Jordy was definitely the one, that didn't deserve to die.
