I bought my 13 yr old 60 spectrum noir for Christmas last year for $50 on a website last year, not willing to buy copics for a young artist, these are a great alternative to copics and she loves them!
I've been looking for markers to replace my aging Prisma colour markers. I have nearly worn them all out now. These looks like they might be a good replacement.
@@StudlyFudd13 Have you tried that trick where you just fill 'em up with rubbing alcohol from the store, or something like that. I haven't tried it so I don't know if it actually works, but if you didn't know that might be alternative
@@draconaisesin7785 The markers themselves are alcohol-based, and yeah the colors are technically diluted but that's how they came out of the factory. Get the pigment, add some alcohol, and you have color. I think the idea is that all the alcohol is gone but not all the pigment, so you're just trying to get what's left of that.

Ots so weird because I myself got a couple of chameleon markers for my birthday and I absolutely love the design! I love how big and bulky they feel. But this really goes to show how artists can be so different with the materials they use.

I work graveyard shift...I totally watch your videos ALL NIGHT. I was excited to actually be number 207 on viewing your new video. As my shift comes to an end I get a couple good laughs and get to learn about this brand of markers.

3:23 Jazza: hexhagonal shaped markers! Me: *extremely tired* it may be 12:09 am and i may or may not be 3/4 asleep, but I do know that it's hexagonal not hexhagonal
The biggest problem with them is that they are designed to only blend within their color family. So if you wanted to blend something in the aqua blue family and the royal blue family, it is very difficult. I have a starter set, and it's very hard to get decent blends. Instead, the color wants to pull up and seperate. If you have a lot of them, they're great based on reviews, but if you only have a small selection they're difficult to work with.
tbh the I started with these and there is one main problem: the brush. Like Artists Loft and Art Alternative pens, the brush is actually a brush that's kind of glued instead of a latex-ish sponge like Winsor & Newton, Prismacolor, and Copic. They are fine if you use fine tip mostly, but they fall apart very quickly because of the materials the brush is made of.

I couldn’t wait for my pen and ink class/group to try out my Copic Sketch pens. I tried them out Thursday in my colored pencil class. I didn’t do anything too fancy, just a dragon eye. You know a product is good when I can impress my teacher. What I really love about the Copic Sketch pens is not only do they blend really well, something my teacher said you can’t do with ink, but they have a very low odor to them and I can tolerate them much more than my Sharpie pens. I am planning on expanding my set of six but only when they come on sale at Blick. So thanks to you, Copic has a new customer and maybe even two.

Same here, in a way. For a while now a had reduced a lot of my time on the internet to informative vids/forums for list-making, research, and such. A lot of the entertainment in general that I used to enjoy consistently, I either haven't enjoyed as much, or I haven't even felt up to participating in or watching anymore. I haven't been listening to music much anymore, when used to constantly, nor have I felt comfortable with going out hardly at all. It's been a really void year for me that got more glum over time... I know it's not much, really, but watching a Jazza vid for the first time since earlier this year put a smile on my face. I'm still not in the right place emotionally these days, and I still need to get my shit together somehow, but anything helps, mood-wise, I guess. It's always nice to see Jazza remaining his awesome self. There's a genuine joy to his work that sets him apart, and I can't help but for my mood to be lifted by it, even if temporarily. It's not about feeling motivated just to use the internet, it's about when you're lack of motivation has become so high in every facet that you don't even feel as usually inclined to simply use the mega-convenient internet to entertain yourself, or it just doesn't work as well as it used to as a distraction from your sadness or dark thoughts. (I have social anxiety, so I was never able to seek that distraction in other people. The best living, in-person distraction I had were my dogs, and they passed away in the past two years. I would love art to be a distracting hobby for me, but I'm too easily frustrated with myself for it to be a stress-free experience. Still trying though... lol)

i picked up a set of spectrum noir classique markers today and i must say they are very good and the shape keeps them from rolling away. they are a dollar or 2 per marker, about 10x lower than copic. i would recommend

These look like really good quality markers especially considering the price!
The biggest problem with them is that they are designed to only blend within their color family. So if you wanted to blend something in the aqua blue family and the royal blue family, it is very difficult. I have a starter set, and it's very hard to get decent blends. Instead, the color wants to pull up and seperate. If you have a lot of them, they're great based on reviews, but if you only have a small selection they're difficult to work with.
Sequin Cook I recently got a pack of them called ‘essentials’ which had a colourless blender in it so that helps blend them all a bit easier.
I can say that they are great! I've bought three packs and I use them quite frequently! I love them!
tbh the I started with these and there is one main problem: the brush. Like Artists Loft and Art Alternative pens, the brush is actually a brush that's kind of glued instead of a latex-ish sponge like Winsor & Newton, Prismacolor, and Copic. They are fine if you use fine tip mostly, but they fall apart very quickly because of the materials the brush is made of.

I couldn’t wait for my pen and ink class/group to try out my Copic Sketch pens. I tried them out Thursday in my colored pencil class. I didn’t do anything too fancy, just a dragon eye. You know a product is good when I can impress my teacher. What I really love about the Copic Sketch pens is not only do they blend really well, something my teacher said you can’t do with ink, but they have a very low odor to them and I can tolerate them much more than my Sharpie pens. I am planning on expanding my set of six but only when they come on sale at Blick. So thanks to you, Copic has a new customer and maybe even two.

This is so weird but I took a break from a LOT of RUclipsrs due to depression and just not wanting to leave a small circle, and one I stopped watching was you Jazza. I haven't seen anything from you in MONTHS just because I had no motivation, but this is the first video I've seen in forever and I'm happy you didn't change at all

But I promise things get better, and you don't need to rush it. I still don't watch many family related content as I don't find myself capable yet, but I know I will be able to one day, and so will you be able to watch anything you want. Lot's of love from Spain sweetie.
Same here, in a way. For a while now a had reduced a lot of my time on the internet to informative vids/forums for list-making, research, and such. A lot of the entertainment in general that I used to enjoy consistently, I either haven't enjoyed as much, or I haven't even felt up to participating in or watching anymore. I haven't been listening to music much anymore, when used to constantly, nor have I felt comfortable with going out hardly at all. It's been a really void year for me that got more glum over time... I know it's not much, really, but watching a Jazza vid for the first time since earlier this year put a smile on my face. I'm still not in the right place emotionally these days, and I still need to get my shit together somehow, but anything helps, mood-wise, I guess. It's always nice to see Jazza remaining his awesome self. There's a genuine joy to his work that sets him apart, and I can't help but for my mood to be lifted by it, even if temporarily.
It's not about feeling motivated just to use the internet, it's about when you're lack of motivation has become so high in every facet that you don't even feel as usually inclined to simply use the mega-convenient internet to entertain yourself, or it just doesn't work as well as it used to as a distraction from your sadness or dark thoughts. (I have social anxiety, so I was never able to seek that distraction in other people. The best living, in-person distraction I had were my dogs, and they passed away in the past two years. I would love art to be a distracting hobby for me, but I'm too easily frustrated with myself for it to be a stress-free experience. Still trying though... lol)

Maybe they added the felt tip to compensate for the soft brush? To maybe add more detailed coloring you'd have to use the felt tip side.
i picked up a set of spectrum noir classique markers today and i must say they are very good and the shape keeps them from rolling away. they are a dollar or 2 per marker, about 10x lower than copic. i would recommend
I just found these in a store a month or so ago and I fell madly in love with them. Wouldn't mind a freebie like this in the mail from them.
