We used to go for two weeks every summer in the late '60s, early '70s. My father ran a business and would commute back to Plainview. I was last there in '73. I can't believe how familiar it looks. Lots of good memories. My dad died 3/18/74 - 50 years...

Are used to spend the summers at Miller’s place on the cliff overlooking the Long Island sound when I was a boy I’ll never forget it. It was the most beautiful and tranquil place on earth we used to have a boat square boat that my father built it was called the sandbox use it for a trailer to bring out our suppliesFlushing, New York, and then he would cork the holes that held onto the to make it a trolley cork those with corks and we would roll it out and keep it on the beach to go fishing every day the rock there the big rock on the beach I’ll never forget it. It was it was the greatest.

We used to go there in the ‘90s …. So beautiful. We used to pay $15.00 per night in the tent platform section. Enjoyed the memories. There’s Lewin/Davis farm nearby where we did peach picking……Thanks….

Thank you, I love to hear that I have made someone happy in these dark times. It's the simple pleasures that mean the most to me. It was the early 80's when I flew off the sands cliffs at wildwood , back when I was indestructible. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave such a nice comment, you made my day, I really needed that👍

That looks like a beautiful campground, love all the trees. That is funny about the elephant rock. Yeah, certain things seemed a little more grand as a kid. Well, if Bella can't go, not too sure about this one. Hope you are having a good winter season. Take care and watch those hills!

Hi Debbie, I'm glad you like this campground it would be a good choice if you ever visited Long Island it's in a good location close to the water as well as the city. I spent a considerable amount of time here as a child. Lots of memories for me. It is a shame that they don't allow pets none of the state parks in New York do. I hope you're enjoying the winter give my best to Bob. Sharon said to send her love all the very best. John and Sharon ❤️👍

It’s a real nice park for Long Island but I can’t handle the summer crowd in July and August also really hate no dogs allowed
