I'm not sure, but I think AFO stole Hawks' quirk to be faster since Hawks' main thing was his speed and AFO said "every second counts" because he's rewinding out of existence.
One thing I noticed with the new episodes is the episodes after Gentle Criminal, Lady Nagant, and La Brava come back is in the intro they added a tiny little part where you can see Gentle Criminal holding up the coffin in the sky and Lady Nagant on the building with her sniper out ^^
I think Hawks annoyed AFO by standing in his way the entire time to reach Shigaraki that he decided "ill end this mans whole career by taking his trash wings quirk."
He took hawks wings for a speed boost and to prevent him from following and dealing chip damage the whole way back to shigaraki … he said the more damage he takes the more he rewinds in the same scene

I think the best part has to be the realization that Machia wasn’t brainwashed and Shinso was just ended but coming as a precaution. There is something poetic about the character who is the inspiration for the Nomu turning against AFO. Also can we take a minute and appreciate how far Mt. Lady has come as a character
Monoma and shinso really did a big part in this war, maybe not directly fighting, but contribute more on securing the success, shoji, ashido, kirishima and the bird guy is worth mention here and not forget tsuyu chan insight is always on point
so small spoiller here , the younger he get , the stronger he is because ,as a child you don't know how to control ( raw pure emotions) emotion and since quirk power are affected by your emotions ( go back on what daigoro banjo (blackwhip user) said 5th user OFA on season 5 ) so he will able to draw the full potential of AFO qurik
AFO don't even need Hawks' quirk, he's justa bastard 🤣😭 He was going for Tokoyami's, but Hawks got in his way so he just yoinked his instead before realizing he didn't have time to steal more quirks if he wanted to get to Shigaraki before poofing out of existence
AFO looks epic and now younger with Levi/Law voice it's even cooler! As he is getting younger he is losing control of his emotions and even Shigaraki's hatred has affected him due their fusion. Since he is not holding back now and rewind literally healing him he can release the potential of his quirks to the max!
The people that were showned watching the Deku fight while the reporter was talkinf are drom the movies, did tou watch the movies? That makss them all canon
