‘Stop!’ was taken from the ‘Crackers International’ EP
originally released in November 1988 reaching number 2 in the UK charts.
The video was directed by Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson of Throbbing Gristle, who also worked with The The, Nik Kershaw, Marc Almond, NIN, Van Halen and Mute label mate and collaborator Diamanda Galas.
The EP also featured fan favourites ‘Knocking On Your Door’,’The Hardest Part’ and ’She Won’t Be Home’.

This was played a lot in the 80s in all the pubs and clubs. Whenever it came on, the smoke machines used to fill the dance floor with a thick fog, lit up by all the whirling multicolored disco lights and everyone used to crowd onto the dance floor. Those were the days!

Amazing 80s music will never go out of style or be obsolete, because it is great music with great voice and brings back so many incredible nostalgic moments and memories. Absolutely beautiful music and makes you want to get up and dance.

First time I ever heard this song. I was born in the 70s. I bought the Greatest album cd years ago, but I lost it before I had a chance to listen to it all the way through.

My kids were brought up to erasure, they were toddlers who knew all the words to all their songs,I was 18 and had two kids! Last time my girls danced to this was at my oldest girls wedding ,their faces were so full of glee , she passed away not long after ,this song brings such lovely memories of her .
