I'd much rather watch this over today's cookie-cutter cars. So what if they're faster now...they all look identical. The cars 40 years ago had individual style and character..
Yep, the cars from the late 60s through to the late 80s were magic in my opinion. The circuits too. Each one had it’s own character, topological features, a sense of location. Watching modern circuits it could be anywhere, just featureless concrete and day glo run off areas
i`m now 51 and 3quarters. When i was aged around 8-9, my Grandad used to play the Formula 1 car sounds on a cassette tape which he recorded, i remember being taken back in amazement at the sound, over 40 years ago, my love for F1 started then.
It's amazing to see them steering with the throttle at some corners! The tires were sticky but not so sticky they couldn't spool them up whilst turning! So cool.
It must have been an incredibly difficult thing for Italian-born Mario Andretti to pass on an opportunity to be lead Ferrari driver in 1978. He did win the championship with Lotus, so I suppose it was OK... but _still,_ that had to be a tough call.
I believe the Brabham BT45 ran a V12 Alfa-Romeo engine. By the way, and not meaning to be pedantic, but the Ferrari ran a flat 12 not vee configuration.

.......... and the '75-'76 cars looked even better.

I like both

This is the real F1 not today’s nonsense… it’s become a very bling organisation.
The greatest drifting video anyone will ever see. PROPER drifting, not figure skating on four wheels.
It's crazy to see how death was surrounding them and they were still going like nothing happened
Thanks for sharing. 😊
Do you have the others Motors Legends season reviews?

The pronunciation of "Carlos Pace" makes me cringe a little!
Yeah!! "Payse" instead of "patche!"😮
No more cringeworthy than the mispronunciation of Anglo names like Rutherford.

I think he knew better things were going to happen from the Lotus 78

This Ferrari 312T2 is one of my favourite F1 cars ever. This is how a race car should look like 👍🏻

GTFO, this was better than anything on TV at the time. You're obviously too young.
✌️🤠💥🌟🌀👍
Carlos Pace .
¡No mames güey!
