So, quick note, KE = 1/2MV^2 only holds for non-relativistic velocities. At significant fractions of the speed of light you want to switch to....An abomination I'm not going to type out - if you feel so inclined look up Relativistic Kinetic Energy. Point is, though, as any given object approaches C its kinetic energy (and thus the energy needed to accelerate to that speed) approaches infinity. Thus, at C even a single lepton would spawn a universe-devouring event horizon with its infinite kinetic energy, and anything infinitesimally below that would be a planet or even star killing projectile. That said, given that KSP lets you move well above our C and also has no discernable light-lag, let's just assume that Kerbal C is many orders of magnitude higher than ours and thus irrelevant for anything we can achieve ingame.
@@henriquepacheco7473 I mean I figured it as much when he said he could go over the speed of light but somehow would have had to make a several dozen kiloton object. Relativistic mass could increase is his speed a factor 2 if he managed to get within somewhere along 87% c I think. To be fair this would also effect his acceleration and put a hardcap on his speed. Kind of like the real world.
One time i modified the aerospike engine's thrust just a *little* and it went past lightspeed in less than a second at 1% thrust and just barely tapping accelerate lol
This is cannon in ksp lore now. At some point the future bob crashed in to Dres, destroying it and making Dres no longer exists. Now we need to like convince the entire ksp community that Dres got destroyed by Bob
Reminded me of coleisprettygreat who tried breaking a speed record in Ace Combat Zero, where he reached literally the mathematical limit for any 32 bit program to have, and just uttered this phrase: "Its instant, its quicker than instant! I am in the everywhere, i am in the air and the air will give you cancer!"
Actually, I'm fairly certain that in real life, going at or above 1c (disregarding how it's impossible) would merit literally infinite energy. You'll cause the equivilent of a false vacuum collapse via inducing an infinite amount of energy in a finite space, ever expanding in all directions as fast as causality can allow. This wouldn't even happen from the collision, simply being at that speed would cause that instantaneous hubble-volume consuming energy to spawn.
5:19 while yes 670kt * c is the energy you need you made some miscalculation as it's v^2 and 10c would be already 6.7kt and 100c would be 67t essentially you did 10 * (c^2) instead of (10 * c)^2 did not matter in the end as you went with 1c but yes.
Me personally I would have aimed prograde and kept burning until I hit dres even once reaching a high enough speed to destroy it, because as every Kerbal knows, more speed is better or something
install Principia use tweakscale to make a craft of equal mass to kerbin hyperedit into dres orbit watch it get flung out into deep space never to be seen again profit (assuming massive craft can actually affect planets)
do not conspire against Dres, the milk federation has a small presence there (we're gonna throw 20000 bombs in your general direction if you destroy dres)
Btw guys I think Dres was not actually destroyed since it’s impossible to destroy planets in KSP since it’s a game so I think he just used special effects with Universe sandbox 2 Conclusion: DRES NEVER DIES!
This is proof INT his frame ( 11:05 ) because you can kinda see Dres looks a bit different and the explosion looks like something form universe sandbox 2. Conclusion 2: HEFF MK2 EXPOSED

Anymore
Thx for the pin
Some say Bob is still drifting in the interstellar void, awaiting a new star system to enact his divine will and unholy power upon...
I love how this entire video is just someone with a grudge against a rock. The most Kerbal video I have ever seen.
It's a story as old as humanity itself
Bro became a physicist just to destroy Dres RESPECT
please update your profile to have fashion theory
thats your main concern @heavygaming007 ?
Why arent you a famous KSP Ytuber? You deserve it, bro.
Bob can survive well over a year of blacking out from sustained G forces

KSP does not implement relativism - this is what a purely newtonian simulation of motion looks like

Oh we Lorentz factoring in here.
In ksp you can just go ftl so I don't think that general relativity applies.
dude you need respect for doing all of this, bob needs good respect too.
5:45 this quote made me cry so inspirational
The ending music gives me the chills, TNO is terrifying.
Yes, I never thought that a map game could actually be chilling.
KSP is the place one least expects TNO music to be present.
True.
If you ask me it should have been named the Bobbenheimer, but this video is still one of the best things I've ever seen so well done.
Now we must watch the kaiju battle of the century: Bob Kerman vs. the deep space kraken itself
The Kraken lived in Dres, so when Bob destroyed Dres, the Kraken was unleashed and Bob got his powers.
@@notjebbutstillakerbal Then the Kraken moved to Bop?
@@fertileplanet7756 yes, but Bob had to ruin everything and kill the kraken
Certainly one way to un-dres.

i have encountered the exact same problem with installing interstellar as you and my solution:
wipe the whole install and try again
this is a fever dream
the 5th big celestial body from kerbol is now jool!
this is art
this video is so fucking good i havent enjoyed watching a video in quite some time now
Ok with tha logic we would need tu nuuk Kerbin, Moho,Minmus,Eeloo and pol
Holy shit the absolute legend Felsmak 🙏
YOU FOOL, DRES WAS A PROTECTIVE (AGAINST BOB) SHELL FOR BOBS QUEST BED!
The best video I've seen all week.
jebs rath has been overshadowed
10/10 vid lmao. Great editing 😂.

Bob Kerman is a literal God among mere mortals. He has impenetrable God armor and plot armor.
1:44 this made me rofl
3:02 I was literally there a few days ago
Beautiful. Just... beautiful.
Bob Kerman hit Dres so fast that he ascended to a higher plane of existence.

it was at this moment that kerbol changed forever, and it was changed for the worse.

why is the sisyphus prime the narrator
