Daniel if you are reading this, trust me enable call recording for all phone calls you are making yourself (One plus phones have it standard). It has saved me a lot of situations like your private health care story. Saved me a lot of time and money.
It should be possible to review the yard's CCTV footage to find out who was operating the new machine when that damage happened. Accidents happen but you need to have them tracked to know if an individual is too prone to such damages and sort out the remedial action.

Where I work all the machine ops are d90 trained in demolition and material processing/handling. Having one trained man operate one pece of kit will reduce damage rather than letting everyone have a play on your new investment.

Quick tip - when you are taking down the drywall walls try use reciprocating saw you should be able to buy special blades for drywall aswell, we do it that way and its faster and less messy and better debris to handle. Cut between the structures of course
