That’s literally the same thing with every product. iPhones, computers, tvs, eta. I think any DJI drone is the last you would need but not the last you would want
I was flying the MP3 last week for work and was super amazed on what it can do. The fact that I was flying in an area about 5 or more miles from the Philly skyline and when I tapped the 7x on the remote and it punched in to the Philly skyline so it filled the screen was insane! I could see traffic, people walking around, could even read the words and tail number of a helicopter flying over the skyline and here I was over five miles away! Mind blown what this drone can do! Definitely game changing!!!
I bought this drone and I cannot stop flying. I look for opportunities to fly every chance I get. My shots stand head and shoulders above my peers while working on a story.
Thanks for the honnesty! Other content creators don't talk about the few limitations this new drone has (even though it is still an incredible piece of tech)
Been looking at drones for ages. Really wish my stomach could stomach FPV, but this might finally be something to pick up for freelance work and dope personal cinematic sequences. DJI really has been killing it recently.
Wait I thought that the Mavic 3 was the last one I’d need 😢. 😂Honestly … it’s not worth the upgrade unless those few extra spec is absolutely needed !! Or if you have the money and want the latest gear 🤷♂️ At the end of the day .. use what you have … don’t sweat over having the best one.. it’s literally placebo untill you actually relize the upgrade was all in your head … I currently have the air 2s & the mavic 3 .. and I find myself not being able to pin point any difference when comparing side by side … unless you wnat to find one … Lmao .. but take the time to reaswvh and see which wouod best suit you!! Good luck out there gang 💛
Peter lindgren sid a review on it and some guy made a multi continent car commercial (searxh it up i forgot the name, some shots) with dji inspire 2 or 3
My 3 Pro shipped today. Not going to agonize about "is it worth it" nonsense. It's the newest Flagship - all these arguments played out when Air 2S mounted a better camera. When Mustangs get restyled. When the iPhone added a camera. It's silly. If you can afford it, and want it, just buy it. If it's "too much" note that it's appropriately $150 more than what it replaces. If you just bought the 3, keep it. It's a fantastic drone.
Not sure where you got your specs but DJI spec sheet says: 6000m max takeoff altitude not sure what your 1000m referred to. Max level speed 47mph The lenses are not where your vid showed in the part with lines to the lenses from text in the field. Am I missing Something?
Ah…so this was the excuse for the Iceland trip. Your Iceland footage was the perfect use case for this drone! Honestly….most people are showing test footage from “typical” or “average” locations ( which is fine). However, if your going to truly demo a new product like this and really show it in its best light….we’ll, you nailed it taking this guy on your Iceland trip. Well played Chris….well played! 😎😎👍👍🥶🥶
Hi Chris…i have a question…please answer…the quality of the image on the mavic 3 when we crop for vertical video is different from the quality of a mini drone? (mini 4 pro for example)
Great it has 15km range. Are you going to fly it at 15k? 10k? no most places require you to have unaided VLOS. What this shows is the strength and the lower likelihood of interference. I love having the zooms available as it will let me have options on where to fly. I will now get shots without moving the drone over people etc.
Great review. Like that part about crash. I also had a crash of the Mavic 3 Cine at middle of desert and as it went below a huge sand dune; I also lost connection. I thought I lost it. But then I watched the route plan and went to the top of a dune and the connection cale back. I had still no clue where it went; but I could make it fly and there was no damage. One question; Does the ProRes work on intelligent mode? Because it doesn’t for the Mavic 3 Cine!
One question : Does LightCut work with this drone❓ I understand you are a pro doing edits in the MacPro but what if I want to invest in a pro drone for short quality videos rather than investing in a 22 grand Mac Pro computer to edit 8K or even 12K video?
No vertical Motors almost a plus. I hate vertical mode. The scary part is that the 7x doesn't have D log I don't know why they can't have the same picture profile across all three lenses.
On the goggle integration apparently we won't be able to use the goggles alongside the RC controller as you mention but only alongside the Motion controller ;)
I crashed the first mavic & I just had to replace the prepelers but about a month later the gimbal stop working & I found out that the crash ripped a cable & it just took sometime with use for it to get bad enough
Nice upgrade with the additional camera. It's definitely lacking portrait mode (vertical shots) that are included on the Mini 3 pro and the option to purchase without a controller.
I think it’s a ripoff that waypoint flight is not part of the software now. I used to get awesome shots with my Phantom 3 Pro being able to control camera direction also. I used my Phantom more than I did my Inspire and all customers were happy. Drone Deploy charges $600 for waypoints now? I’ve been more into the FPV side lately with the Avata, DJIFPV and homebuilt long range drones with the DJI 03 air unit. Is waypoint flying really pay per fly now?
On editing noise - have you tried the new ai denoise from the latest Lightroom update? From what I’ve seen, it does a pretty good job and the best part is it’s right in LR. Might make for a great tutorial video 😉
I’ve been shooting with the mavic 3 Cine for almost 2 years now, and don’t know if it’s worth upgrading. The parallax I love with the 7x zoom, though one can definitely see the difference in picture quality from the main camera in the OG 3 Cine. Besides the frame rate change up from 25 and 30fps in the tele cameras to 60fps in the new one, is there a major difference in picture quality than the oG mavic 3 cine?
What Im trying to understand is, when they came out with the Mavic 3 classic, a lot of people were very happy because many users agreed that the telephoto wasnt that necessary and that most people werent using it..then they decided to add 2 more telephotos. Could anybody tell me why now this is a better choice than a Mavic 3 classic. Serious inquiry
Honestly the same way I feel. Unless I get the Cine, I have no need for upgrading. I feel like they are holding back at this point just to make more within the Mavic line up. Also, I hate the look of these smaller lenses compared to the main one. I only use the main and no footage has shown me it being worth it to upgrade yet.
Can't wait to get this drone and hear (Maximum altitude reached) at 60 meter in urbane areas and 120 meters 😤🤬in the middle of nowhere! BTW, I live in Taiwan. Ya'll enjoy your latest drones however, my Dji Air 2S is the best drone in the world right now. If you catch my drift?😉
I don't think it's legal to fly at 1000 meters above your own location unless you reserve the air space for yourself which costs quite a much. Also the previous controller would have allowed such a height but it was a software limitation. The same limitation was with original Mavic 3 until November 2022
How is no one talking about how terribly the 3 series handles compared to the Mavic 2 Pro? What an incredible handicap the implementation of coordinated turns is to the manueverability of the 3 series. How is this not something that can be toggled on and off?
someone, anyone 3rd party, find a way to put this onto an Osmo pocket so we don't look like fools walking around a wedding or event with a drone all the time!
Not super impressed by the image quality of the tele lenses. 24mm looks awesome. Some of the footage looks a bit 2:45 jerky was it because of too high shutter speed?
DJI Mavic 3 Pro - The Last Drone You’ll Need... until the next one comes out
That’s literally the same thing with every product. iPhones, computers, tvs, eta. I think any DJI drone is the last you would need but not the last you would want

The footage is fantastic and I love snow. Great review, Chris!
Thanks for the honnesty! Other content creators don't talk about the few limitations this new drone has (even though it is still an incredible piece of tech)
Great images, Chris! I'd like to get one of these.
liked and subscribed. I live in Garden Valley Idaho and I love these videos. Thanks again
Been looking at drones for ages. Really wish my stomach could stomach FPV, but this might finally be something to pick up for freelance work and dope personal cinematic sequences. DJI really has been killing it recently.
Pretty cool!✌️
K that opening shot, where is that?? I’m DEFINITELY going to go there!!!!
Great Drone Review Chris! This is one of those items I didn't think I needed until I watched your video
Definitely need this drone as a next upgrade
Wait I thought that the Mavic 3 was the last one I’d need 😢.
😂Honestly … it’s not worth the upgrade unless those few extra spec is absolutely needed !! Or if you have the money and want the latest gear 🤷♂️

Thoughts on Inspire 3? Thinking of purchasing for my company.
Peter lindgren sid a review on it and some guy made a multi continent car commercial (searxh it up i forgot the name, some shots) with dji inspire 2 or 3
I just ordered this last night ☑️👌🏽

> 900 g, sucks
Lovely stuff. I'm going to buy this drone.
DLog M is now available on all three lenses for what should be perfectly matchable color grading.
Not sure where you got your specs but DJI spec sheet says:
6000m max takeoff altitude not sure what your 1000m referred to.
Max level speed 47mph
The lenses are not where your vid showed in the part with lines to the lenses from text in the field.
Am I missing
Something?
Ok I was looking for the same thing. Max take off altitude is the maximum starting altitude after which you can go 1000m up.
Thanks for sharing this incredible review!
nice😊
Thanks; for this drone recommendation @chris
Was that SiggiWorld in the footage there?
Ah…so this was the excuse for the Iceland trip. Your Iceland footage was the perfect use case for this drone! Do you fly drones in Canada at all? How are you finding the process for non >249g drones?
Hi Chris…i have a question…please answer…the quality of the image on the mavic 3 when we crop for vertical video is different from the quality of a mini drone? (mini 4 pro for example)
Not in the market for a drone right now. But if I have the funds for one in the future, I’d consider this one.
So the 7x camera been upgraded as well? If so, what are the differences between it and the one on the original mavic 3?
Just got the drone. It's so sick. Can't seem to find a D-Log M - Rec 709 LUT. Does DJI make one?
Are folk just ignoring the weight issue or upgrading to A2 C.O.C in The U.K for fun fliers?
I wished they could make the gimbal to go vertical as well the only missing thing on this drone which IMO should have been there.
NOOOO THE FOMOOO IS KICKING IN 😭
AMAZING! DJI is changing the drone industry in so many ways its hard to understand the impact that they will make.
Stoked that this one performs so well!!! Also, I think it's hilarious that you always say DGI instead of DJI. 🤣
he says DJI in the same way that you would pronounce J for Jam
I want to buy it by I know when I do the next model will come out right after
With that logic you would never buy anything.
@@jimtipton8888 I have no problem waiting until the next model comes out but that’s for your two cents
This drone looks sick. I've explored getting one but its so expensive to get a good one.
Then get the classic. It's only $1499 vs $2199.
Great review. Like that part about crash. I also had a crash of the Mavic 3 Cine at middle of desert and as it went below a huge sand dune; I also lost connection. I thought I lost it. One question;
Does the ProRes work on intelligent mode? Because it doesn’t for the Mavic 3 Cine!
Nice footages. Anyway Chris I thought u have moved to Resolve and no longer using Premiere
Third 166 mm camera is noisy even in the daylight and kinda low quality to compared to the first two...
It’s 7x on a drone, what do you expect? 8K HDR?
Is it really true that you can only set an altitude of 1000m with the pro remote?
One question : Does LightCut work with this drone❓ I understand you are a pro doing edits in the MacPro but what if I want to invest in a pro drone for short quality videos rather than investing in a 22 grand Mac Pro computer to edit 8K or even 12K video?
How did the battery hold with cold temperatures.. By the way great review.. Looking forward to getting this drone.
Cuts the life a bit but overall really good. Usually flying it aggressive kills the battery.
What kind of license do you need for it in Canada?
Basic
No vertical Motors almost a plus. I hate vertical mode. The scary part is that the 7x doesn't have D log I don't know why they can't have the same picture profile across all three lenses.
What si the best editing software you recommend for a private drone user just starting out i use MacBook Pro and IPad Pro
till the Mavic 4 pro comes out :)
On the goggle integration apparently we won't be able to use the goggles alongside the RC controller as you mention but only alongside the Motion controller ;)
What is the accuracy for RTH?
No DLog in the zoom cameras is a deal breaker for me
Can you ask motion Array to make a Davinchi Resolve plugins
dear~ How are things?- Enjoyed, you did awesome view- ✋
Wait wtf you were in QUEENSTOWN. I would have brought you a beer
I crashed the first mavic & I just had to replace the prepelers but about a month later the gimbal stop working & I found out that the crash ripped a cable & it just took sometime with use for it to get bad enough
Wow
I wish they still had the trade up program. I got pro 1 and 2 and I don’t want to spend another 2500 on the 3. See them at 4 pro 😂
do you need a drone pilot license to fly the dji mavic 3 pro to fly it here in canada?
Nice upgrade with the additional camera. It's definitely lacking portrait mode (vertical shots) that are included on the Mini 3 pro and the option to purchase without a controller.
What is the Programm he mentioned to clean the shots from pixels called ?
I think it’s a ripoff that waypoint flight is not part of the software now. I used to get awesome shots with my Phantom 3 Pro being able to control camera direction also. Sorry. Say again about the 1000m altitude bit please 🎉
I think the graphics at 8:02 have 1x and 7x mixed up fyi
Thanks Rob!
Question : Does the 7x lens even produce usable footage?
100 percent. I think the footage is awesome
Does the regular mavic 3 pro have pro res? or only cine?
only cine
On editing noise - have you tried the new ai denoise from the latest Lightroom update? From what I’ve seen, it does a pretty good job and the best part is it’s right in LR. Might make for a great tutorial video 😉
I havnt tried it yet - but i hear good things
Wait a minute I thought the limit of Maximum flight height set by the Federal Aviation Administration was 500 m.
Stevewilldoit intro :D
Another thing looks like drone?
How to go 1000m in altitude? Didn't find the option.
At least here in the USA you are now allowed to go over 400 AGL

I would never carry one lens in my camera bag if I can help it. Same goes for they sky. This drone is the only reason I ditched my I2.
Because we have always had 24mm for drone and I'm bored with that 😅
Last Drone you ever need, unless you need mapping and no geo fencing.
Maybe some lessons would help bud
They should really add DLOG-M to the 7X camera so you can film with a consistent picture profile between each cam.. 👀
Isn’t worth to upgrade I’m happy with mavic 3
Why not? Tested it?
If you’re happy with the 3 go for it. For my needs the 3 pro is my perfect drone
it would if it had vertical mode, it would have made it a professional drone
@@tommyLP750 not hardly. social media doenst make for "professional"

To much advertisement to less useful information about the product…
Anyone else notice the stevewilldoit intro music? 😂
I wish DJI would put a vertical mode on their professional drones. The original Mavic Pro and it was such a great feature.
I also wish that.

This drone will be illegal to own and operate in the US.
