I splurged and just bought Chanel Beige. Haha I wish I could say I’m a CEO but I’m a mere operating room nurse. I actually wear it to work, trying to add a little bit of luxury to my drab scrubs.

I am one of those that has worn Baccarat 540 for years & then one day I no longer smelled it .. bought a new bottle -- still not able to smell it .. got a new bottle for Valentines' Day.. So here I sit with 2 1/2 bottles of my beloved perfume and unable to smell it.. I actually wonder if I had a mild case of Covid-19 and lost my ability to smell. Did get Delina, Whispers of Truth & Greenwich Village that is my perfume budget for all of 2021.. Plan on trying a couple of discovery sets & so far its between Delina and Greenwich Village for my new signature scent. Thank you for another fun smell-a-vision with Erin!🧡
I have read comments under other BR540 reviews that some people become anosmic to it as Erin said, but others will smell it.
@@cmac6992 Thank you.. I was wondering if I was a little weird -I adore my BR540 & have worn it since it was released - I have set it aside & will use some of my newer scents & hopefully will go back to it!! Even my local dry cleaner misses my signature scent!

I loveee Penhaligon fragrances too.. I love the Empressa and Luna. But I had the Favourite sample.. I so agree!! So pretty scent!

My signature fragrance is Baccarat Rouge. It is addictive and mysterious. Such a gorgeous smell. Yes, I get nose blind but everyone around me smells it. My husband enjoys it well.

Creed Love in White is worn by Angelina Jolie! So I think i will go for this version
I've been wearing Greenwich Village most often these past several months, and I can't get enough of it. It is such a beautiful scent. I am glad you like it, too.
Debra, would you say it’s a gourmand, oriental or floral perfume. Wanting to order so bad just don’t live anywhere within an hour to sample.
@@JulesAddiction For me it starts out citrusy, and then the florals come into the mix, after which the addition of the patchouli and the vanilla along with the sweetness of praline just glide together to make it a different kind of sweetness. And the citrus remains to keep it mature. If I had to give it a more precise description I would say it is a floral vanilla with a tart sweetness. It is beautiful, IMHO.

I love Penhaligons -my husband introduced me as he loves his Blenheim Bouquet cologne. I'm more a makeup person but I have recently bought Chanel's Gabrielle. It's the first perfume I've purchased in some time.

Baccarat is my favorite! Next runner up, absolutely love Greenwich village Bond 9. Now I just discovered a scent from Creed I actually like, Millesime Imperial... it smells stunning on me but a different type of sweetness.
Your choices are awesome! Try PDM Safanad! It’s gorgeous and also have Cassili. I think she’s so much more interesting than the obvious choice of delina

I’m on of those people who thought that MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 didn’t have potently on me. I over sprayed even and within 15 minutes I wouldn’t smell anything. I bought Exrait and don’t have the problem. It’s just amazing what an individual’s body chemistry can do to a perfectly delightful scent. What was odd was that the dupe Cloud didn’t seem to do this as much so I would overspray that (much cheaper) and layer in my 540. I knew deep down this was cheating and knock offs aren’t the way to go and have much better success with the Extrait.
So happy that someone other than me is giving Darcy any love. It was my first Parfums de Marley purchase. So perfect for an every day scent.
If only I can edit out all the auto correct spelling errors in this post I made. Geesh.
I adore Penhaligon's The Favorite. It's not my typical fragrance profile, but I can see myself wearing it most days in the Spring and Summer.

I think if women love woodsy/masculine scents I would recommend oud by acqua di parma (hopefully it's the correct name) and By The Fireplace by Maison Margiela Replica :)
By the Fireplace is my favorite can’t live without scent. I even wear in spring when I need a boost mentally.
Some women like myself, love woody or Oud fragrances but not fecal ouds, and I am crazy about sandalwood. I also own Areej Le Dore, Ensar Oud, Roja and Bortnikoff . I also love animalic perfumes. I adore Papillon’s Salome. But any perfume with Mysore is amazing. I own about 16 Xerjoff fragrances and every Nasomatto he’s made. I own attars. Oooh I love Attars . But they’re so expensive. I’ve gone from a shoe and purse obsession to a fragrance obsession. But I’m picky. While I do love some designers like Chanel, Guerlain and Mugler, Niche is 90% of my collection . And last I counted, it’s 385 bottles. Not counting the dozens of 15-25ml decants and hundreds of 2-7ml samples. I’ve been trying to use up the samples first. It’s not easy. Ive even sold some back ups and given away tons of samples. I just bought Areej Le Dore’s latest release and while the opening is very nice, the dry down is vomit inducing to me. I planned on selling it BUT if I hold on to it for about 2 yrs, I can sell it for double. Because Areej fragrances always sell out and then ppl go nuts looking to buy more . He only puts out a few hundred bottles. Ever.
I am re-sampling my PdM samples- Cassili and Darcy. I think I adore Darcy now and it does smell like Coco Mademoiselle. I love your list- I also want to smell the Penhaligon's Favorite and the Greenwich Village Bond #9!!

BR540 is so gorgeous … I could see it really blooming in your FL climate. I do prefer the BR540E in our Colorado cooler weather. GAHHH, maybe it’s the only scent, other than Mancera Roses Vanille, that I smell my wrist often and love when I catch my own sillage.
Elie Saab - Le Parfum gets me the most compliments. I am saving up for La BR 540, love the scent, i got the mini candle of BR 540. I Just found you on you tube, thank you for this video. With love from Rotterdam - The Netherlands. ❤
You are right about Montale. I don't know Roses Musk, but I got samples of Damasc Rose and Rose Petals, and the smell of roses is completely different. DR is very mature and elegant, whereas RP is like fluffy bed of rose buds 🌹👌❤️
Wow; the colour of that Bond No 9 bottle. I don't have anything from that brand, but Grenwich Village might be my first 🤩

People go anosmic To the mfk 540, it’s such a powerhouse. I have heard to spray away from face like on wrist lower so it’s not so near your nose if having that problem. Other people will still smell it on you and compliment you (so scent is there) it’s just that person wearing it has gone nose blind to it unfortunately. That’s why some people prefer the extrait as it is closer to the skin as compaired to the edp. They both smell slightly different than each other , and have different price tags 🏷.
I have tried the extrait, the hair perfume & I still can't smell it! I still do get compliments.. My poor dry cleaner-who loves when I drop stuff off she said she leaves a piece of my order near her as she loves the scent - I have been trying out other things & she hasn't liked them any more than me.😥😖
I have this problem! It makes me soooo sad not to be able to smell it. I used to when I first got it - and now I spray it and within seconds it’s gone. I’m counting on other people being able to smell it haha - someone should enjoy! Haha

Thoroughly enjoyed your signature review. I concur that Baccarat Rouge is marvelously unique, but I would go so far to call it a masterpiece. I tried Greenwich Village while at Saks a few months ago and it came across to me as a Baccarat Rouge clone. It’s interesting that you felt it is a unique if not an indescribable scent. I’ll need to revisit it.

I recently purchased Baccarat Rouge 540 and will be returning it because it smells identical to Tiziana Terenzi Spirito Florentino. This fragrance is extrait de perfum and last longer than Baccarat in my opinion.
I’ve been thinking about getting Chanel Beige and you just convinced me to go for it.

I have been wearing different Bond fragrances for years. I wish I could smell Greenwich before purchasing but not near a counter to try it.

I don't have a signature scent, I have do many that I wear a different one every day. Ones that I love in particular are Chanel no 19, Andy Tauer Une Rose chypree, Guerlain Mitsouko, Guerlain L'heur Bleu...so many others!
My personal fragrance right now is actually gentle fluidity by mfk. I prefer it to the baccarat 540 because its not as sweet. I tested Greenwich Village by Bond No 9 and loved it - definitely will pick up at some point. But another one I tested and is now on my wish list is the Parfum de Marly Safand - would love to hear your thoughts on this one.
I bought the gentle fluidity gold on her recommendation, but don’t love it at all, sadly.
@@cynthialawson364 I went to a Saks to test before buying and I couldn’t smell the 540 initially, so the SA handed me gentle fluidity and said that she has people smell both because she found that usually people prefer one or the other. Fragrance is so personal that I think you have to try before buying. Erin has definitely made me aware of some of my favorite fragrances, but I’m sorry that one didn’t work out for you!
I prefer Cassili over Delina. It is so pretty for Spring.

@@noodlep2547 Not allowed ship liquids outside Ireland unfortunately! Last time I shipped a few 1,5ml Samples, I went through the holy inquisition at the post office, to make sure I wasn't shipping liquids 😅They arrived ok but never again.😅
@erinnicole you should try a Roja Dove scent. They are out of this world. I just bought creation E femme after Neiman Marcus generously provided a large sample. It’s the most expensive scent I own and ill definitely save for special occasions. I did however buy it with a $100 off $500 promo they were doing last week. I see this scent as a woman who is cheeky and flirtatious and is ambitious. The scent makes me want to throw on my best cocktail dress and heels. Roja Dove is a new addition that I’m afraid of.
Amazing review. I own and love Creed Love in White and used that for my wedding day / honeymoon. Using My Way as my day to day perfume and just got The Favourite and cannot wait to use it!

Erin, I will always think of BR 540 as my quarantine fragrance. Since working from home I haven’t been able to wear my heavier, sweeter scents. It’s funny because my nose reads BR 540 as a medicinal, clean fragrance. I don’t consider BR 540 sweet. I have made a huge dent in my bottle.
It’s my favorite and makes me think of cotton candy, but in a GOOD way

I got the original MFK 540 and the Extrait was better and lasted longer. I felt the 540 I couldn’t smell on myself after 4 hours. The Extrait is perfect strength and my new favorite. Did get Currie de Russie by Chanel its a huge favorite, love the back story behind this fragrance. ERIN have you smelled this?

What year did u buy your baccarat rouge ? Becasue i beoieve after 2020 the new ones are extremely weak compared to the older ones. Sonce they were bought out by lamcome. Very unfortunate

How is the lasting power on the favorite? I have a 5ml dabber bottle and can't really get the full affect with that. I love the scent though!
