God bless this band and the tragedy their band member was put through🙏 I was honored to see them perform with the whole line up when this album came out at house of blues New Orleans. They blew the roof off the place it sounded amazing in that room!!
@@di4085 The guitarist with the spiky hair that went to do the timbale solo later in the video (I forget his name now, it's been many, many years) was driving home after a late recording session in either Brooklyn or the Bronx in New York, when he was in a minor vehicle accident, the other person in the accident beat him up very badly and he had to have part of his face surgically reconstructed/repaired 😢
I forgot about this until my 15 year old started playing them tonight! Ha! I was her age when I listened to them! Amazing! Would love to have some praise happening like this in a congregation! The singer's voice reminds me of Cat Stevens.

There was a ton of talent in the 90s; FIF, Dime Store Prophets, Dryve, Black Eyed Sceva (EXCEPTIONAL!) Poor Old Lu, Prayer Chain, etc.

"Burlap to Cashmere" is one of the only Christian mariachi-like bands that I can think of, but their music was and still is timeless.
