    Thank you Anand, it's the only video i found on a broad spectrum of the use of the split coil and phase switching combined with the tone/volume increase/decrease what shows how versatile this instrument is. I heard many pros and cons on the Epiphones and under 500 euro seems today most people grab a Harley Benton, but I sure did not hear any Harley Benton that is as versatile as this Epiphone.

Gibson and the Epiphone and the Gibson probably had a bit more sustain , the feel of the neck was almost identical to the reissue '59 Gibson honey burst but I preferred the tones of the Epiphone a bit more than the Gibson, when I tried it in a recording I was shocked at how good it sits in a mix and how many tone variations I can get, the one I got is in perfect condition not a flaw on it, great quality, however one of the pull split coil knobs came loose, it was an easy fix, thanks for your great demo !

I guess it really doesn't matter (you don't have to use that switch) but myself I would rather have normal humbuckers. The out of phase switch is great. Because of Peter Green's Greeny guitar, being out of phase has become a big part of the traditional les paul world.

    When Epiphones are this good, why bother with Gibson. The purists will very often turn their noses up at anything not made in USA, but really the Asians make such awesome guitars. If it's this good, I don't care that it's made in a factory that makes guitars for lots of other brands.

      Thanks a lot my friend for your kind words and comments !! Totally agree with you….if it is good, it is good no matter where it is made and so on 💫🙏🏼

      @ineedahandle75:
      Epiphone has a own factory in China (Qingdong) supervised by Gibson, there is a interesting video here a YT. Epiphones are not from a multiple brand factory.

      From an ex snob who has learnt the time for snobbery is long up want to support fender buy a Mexican fender why they deserve your sales want to buy a Gibson buy a current Epiphone or a vintage example pre 65 argument over if you don't know why train your ears and your wallets and I own both from eras now and then

    why mine has wilkinson tuner?

    • @Anandmahangoe
      @Anandmahangoe  Год назад

      No idea my friend, perhaps they changed it in time…..on the internet it is also listed with Grover Tuners……but I hope it works and stays in tune, then it should be fine.

    One thing about pickups, Thomann is the only place that reports Alnico CUSTOM Pro for this model (and Classic Pro for the Worn models
    But following Epiphone site they are in both case Alnico Classic Pro Humbuckers...

    Oddly enough my Epi Les Paul Classic (lemon burst) doesn’t have split pull features. I searched everywhere for the specs on my guitar but couldn’t find anything! Not even the guys at the GC I bought the guitar from could figure out what type of pickups it uses.

    • @Anandmahangoe
      @Anandmahangoe  2 года назад

      Well that’s very strange man !! Maybe they are upgraded with the split built in…. No idea to be honest and missing a nice feature tone wise on the guitar….. BUT even without this option, these guitars are great !!

      @@Anandmahangoe I enjoy the Alnicos. They have more clarity and warmer tone especially at higher volumes however the PAFs have more range & treble. There are some times where I wish the PAFs were still there so I can play some blues/softer rock tunes but man these Alnicos sure do bite!
