Dude adding that goose as a float is genius. My intake basically sits on the bottom of a pond and occasionally gets clogged. By adding anything that will suspend the intake in the middle of the water will eliminate future clogs. Great video man! Subbed! 🤘🏻
Hello TJ , I have been losing prime .. my water source is from my canal .. I changed the check valve at the canal.. then filled my system with water from my hose that I connected to my system.. I got it running but when my system shuts down it loses prime.. any thoughts on what it could be ? Thank you and thanks for the videos
Even though it may seem that the check valve is holding correctly, you still may have a slow leak. I usually cut out the check valve, fill it with water, and let it sit. This way i could see if its leaking or not.
TJ. After I prime my Sprinkler Water Pump, and it works successfully, when I turn it of, I hear gargaling sound throughout the pump and in the Intake line too. Then it would not pull water again when I try to restart it.. Could it be the prime water gets deciphered out of the pump and the intake line from the Output pipes, when pump gets turned off ?
Thanks man. You made my life a lot easier with that T hack
Yeah man, that hack is awesome. Glad to help. Thanks for watching.
I pump out of a spring creek and this time of year the moss gets bad and of course it plug up everything, I'm going to try the Goose, Thanks man.

Where can I get that goose? You got a link?
Any sporting goods store should have them, Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse, I've even seen them in Walmart.

You need a check valve on your suction line. Make sure it's installed the right way.
Great video! What gauge wire did you attach the goose with?
Thanks, I think i use 12. Any copper wire will work. Just don't use any rope and make sure it is tied tightly.
Hello is there something else I can use besides the goose? I don’t want to spend $40 on goose.
tie anything that floats. Maybe a couple large empty water jugs will work. I have seen people make them out of PVC pipe and fitting as well.
