I'm not completely sure -- check with NS for a more authoritative answer, but the impression I got was that they should begin showing up in the next month or two.
@amierdolo because that makes for a more natural piezo sound and being ned i am sure you wouldnt need to adjust it anyways his fixed bridge instruments is perfectly intonated
Boy, no idea. I gather that street on the 5-string should be around ~$2700, so if I had to guess I would think the 4 will probably still be over $2k. But that's just me guessing. I haven't heard anything about timing for other versions.
Thanks for the info. What do you think a 4 string might go for in Czech and US and if you were a betting man what month will they be out and should I put my name on a list thanx
I hope that he does not deal with gibson anymore. I bought a synapse 2 years ago, and I loved it. But I needed parts for it, I called gibson more times than i can count, E-mailed them, SNail mailed them and nothing. I love his stuff, but inovation means nothing when you cant easily take care of it as it deserves. Also in the past 10 or so years his name has been rented out here and there (musicyo) and so on. SO for me at this point he needs the other end of his biz taken care, rebuilt even.
"...so that the magnets follow the arch of the strings a little bit better. This is the only bass that has this at this point." I had a $300 Ibanez SR300 with curved pickups like 5 years ago. Nothing new, buddy.
Thanks for the video. But what is up with people writing all these remarks about the interviewers voice? I would've guessed people are here to find out about the bass, yet you take the time to write mean remarks and simpleminded jokes. Just because you do that online doesn't make you anything else than simple bullies. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
This bass was not even worth half the money. It's a gimmick. Couldn't have the sound even at all! Had to return it. Kept clipping my amp and board and it wasn't even up a quarter of the way. The electronics weren't good. There was absolutely no high end. Got buried but the low end was too much! I researched it for 2 years. The biggest disappointment I've encountered with a guitar
Ned Steinberger is an absolute genius. He is such an innovator that he should be recognized for his achievements alongside of the great Leo Fender.
They're coming! I got a chance to play one the other day and it's very very nice. Definitely worth waiting a little bit for.
As a Steinberger M-Series user, I am very excited for this.
Thanks Ned from Czech!!

Well.. if we consider Kubicki ex-Factor a headless bass, the tuner system has the same way to fix the regular strings (not double ball) in the 80's.

That would be perfectly intonated for standard tuning? Might prove problematic if you wish to string and choose otherwise. Lovely bass though.
I WANT TO BUY ONE AND NOBODY HAS THEM VERY UPSET

lol... The voice from the guy asking the question is too hard not laugh
Wish the videographer would have focused more on the guitar parts and not on the people.
why don't you let the bass express himself?
fuerjo1 Because it’s a showcase
ahahaha
