They do use bestial incantations but their mists come from traps and throwables instead of spells so it would be more accurate to throw pots in order to emulate that or use aromatics like the poison spraymist.

Would love to see an Omenkiller secret starting class. You can find two Great Omenkiller Cleavers without going into NG+ on top of them being amazing weapons, the outfit looks great, and Rollo is one of the strongest spirit ashes in the game.
This build looks like a fun break from the builds I gravitate towards where I refrain from summons. In this, the summons seem like an essential part of the build. Goblin mode looks fun.
Summons are really fun when you roleplay or when they have a significance in your build. Rather than an op summon that carries you like mimic or Tiche, pick a different one that synergizes with you build. I did a dragon incant build with Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff which was very fun and he wasn't op :D
@@matthewanderson1916 I had a two handed warrior roleplaying with a knight/wolf/hawk motif, he would charge into battle with a set of soldier ashes, and later used Stormhawk as it's main summon, who I was pleasantly surprised buffed my warriors unga bunga greatsword slams. If you look through the list of spirit ashes, you can get all sorts of ideas for builds that could make great synergistic use of the spirit ashes.
I did a glintstone mage build where l made Stormhawk Deenh my “familiar” and called for each fight. Perfect amount of distraction to compensate for squishy mage armor and general weakness because of narrow damage types in many spells. Lots of fun!
@@matthewanderson1916I've used the mimic similarly, did a run in NG+ as Mohg and had Mimic be Morgott, build was fun but the hotswapping at the start of every fight kinda sucked. On the bright side I'm now very good at hotswapping.

Fun fact about swearing: it's scientifically proven to help with pain. To test it, two groups of people were asked to put their hand in a bucket of ice water. The first group was told to curse and swear however they wanted. The other group was not. The grouo that swore could hold their hand in the painful water over twice as long.
I think a cool run would be as the guardians (those guys that hang around minor ertrees). They drop the swordspear which is a really good dex weapon, and they have a full armor set that they drop as well. They only thing they dont have is a spirit ash but mimic would be fine for that. Also, the best place that I've found to farm them is on the way up from the grace to the dragonbarrow putrid avatar.
“Because she doesn’t like jumping…” Yeah, I found that out the hard way when I tried jumping on turtle pope for a selfie… the npcs register a jump as an attack! Vulgar Militia is my favorite Mother Trucking Build in the game, but can it make the Swag Jump on its twelfth try? Make sure you swear every time he gets a drop!
Both the saw, and those spirit summons are super underrated. If you do powerstance them and run Seppuku... it's ridiculous how much damage that they will do. I'm guessing that it doesn't get very much attention because it kind of occupies the same niche as the Cross Naginata, and it is slightly worse than that thing.
Check the wiki. The saw is actually stronger by the numbers both at base level and max level. The biggest differences would be spear vs halberd movesets and potentially a range difference.
@@ASimpleInternetUser Oh yeah, that's what I was referring to specifically was the moveset. Spear moveset, especially powerstanced spears, are very good. I just meant that the same niche that they occupied were Seppuku sticks haha.

The value of the powerstance lies in the jump attack. This weapon procs blead more than any other weapon especially using the occult affinity. But I can see where you're coming from with your thoughts on its powerstance moveset
Not really. There are plenty of other weapons that hit higher blood loss than Vulgar Militia Saw. Godskin Peeler was the highest in the game at 127 blood loss iirc. And Occult affinity has nothing to do with the rapidity of blood loss proc’s. You actually have it backwards. When set to Occult, you’re basically trading out status effect proc’s for better arcane scaling which means higher AR and more damage. Which prob sounds better than the Bleed Affinity but it’s not. With the only exception being when Seppuku AoW is applied. You’ll get crazy blood loss set to Occult w/ Seppuku but that’s due to the AoW not the Occult Affinity providing greater blood loss velocity. However, bleed affinity is still better since blood loss is percentage based the more times you proc blood loss the more damage you’ll do so you want your blood loss numbers as high as possible and don’t worry about your AR being lower with Bleed Affinity vs Occult. You’ll still do more damage at the end of the day with Bleed affinity.
@@radojerkovic3059 Not when affinity is set to Occult. If you have a non-innate bleed weapon when set to Occult you will get zero blood loss. And when you have an innate bleed weapon when set to Occult your default bleed goes down, not up. Occult doesn’t give you more blood loss and better scaling/more damage. Bleed Affinity would be totally unnecessary if that was the case. The whole point of the two affinities is to choose more damage or more status proc’s. Which takes me back to my original point - since blood loss is percentage based, Bleed affinity is better since it favors burst damage as opposed to standard dps.
Amazing video as per usual the goblins always annoy the hell out of me so glad to know it can work on bosses as well, imagine if you had the lord of bloods exaltation,

I am so grateful that you finally made the Tyrion Lannister of Elden Ring builds Tyrion Lannister being a character from George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series, which was also partially adapted as a HBO show called "A Game of Thrones". Tyrion manages to be adapted in the TV show, but his more evil goblin nature isn't truly explored. To delve into a good read of Tyrion Lannister, one should consider the main books, including A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, and A Dance with Dragons... (*The Winds... The Winds George... They Howl at me...*)
Red Goblins would be pretty sick if they did forced discard shenanigans like Black Rats do. Though to be fair Red Goblins is one of the gnarliest tribes anyway.
I’m not really a fan of how Bleed and other statuses work in Elden Ring.. I wish Statuses were a bit more differentiated and useful. For Bleed I wish it caused actual bleeding and made the victim lose a bit of health over time and take more damage from attacks that stacks up with bleed. Because that’s how bleeding works. It sounds OP but it could be balanced to work instead of just a chunk of damage and then somehow bleeding resets. Poison and Rot are basically the same and just cause damage over time. Poison should act more like bleed by building up, then you take a hit of damage and low damage over time, with some negative effects like stamina reduction and maybe even reduce healing effectiveness until you cure it. Scarlet Rot should be a much scarier poison, and maybe even add some effects to the screen to sell the sickness and difficulty focusing. Scarlet rot should be much harder to give/get but have much worse consequences. Perhaps Poison resets but Scarlet rot doesn’t for bosses and maybe there’s a tiny risk of build up on yourself as you handle something so toxic and dangerous. A double edged sword that has huge rewards if you take the risks.. Sleep build up should cause slowed movement, slow stamina recovery and for bosses longer recovery times leading to longer/better openings for attacks even if they aren’t asleep.. it should at least make them groggy and slow as if they’ve been drugged. It shouldn’t be wide awake or completely unconscious. This would make sleep much more viable and stop you from wasting it on enemies who can’t sleep… build some sleep, the enemy takes extra stagger damage and stays down a bit longer because they’re groggy! Madness could’ve been sooo cool! Especially in boss fights, It would be sick if a madness proc caused the boss to swing wildly at nothing and disrupt their normal pattern. It could be great for you or terrible.. but how cool would it be to proc Madness on a boss and see them angrily attacking the air while you take a moment to recover or set up for an attack. Instead of just damage it should be a stagger, a decent opening for attack and then the boss just goes wild but not directly at you… they just attack anywhere and everywhere… you might get caught up in it or not, or maybe they just jump to the other side of the arena… it’s MADNESS. this should last a short time before they shake it off, have a short “stagger” as they recover and resume normal fight mode. Imagine dropping madness in a dungeon or group of enemies and they all start attacking each other and going mad. That would be so cool! But it could also be a risk to build up madness on yourself… Cold/frost is alright, it does damage and affects stamina. Fair enough.. but I think it would be cool if it caused enemies and bosses to attack a bit slower… just a bit, like 5%. Just enough that it feels like the cold is slowing them down and doing something. They also could’ve used lightning in a cool way to build up “static charge” and once the meter is full, all lightning attacks are 100% hits even if you miss… like lightning jumping to the opposite charge. Or perhaps you build up a charge and a bolt of lightning strikes from the sky doing a chunk of damage… there’s a handful of cool ideas you could do with lightning/electric status effect. One would be chaining lightning in groups, if there’s an enemy close enough to the one hit with lightning a portion of dog will jump to them.. and it could follow that equation until it’s a dud. Basically if I throw 100dmg worth of lightning at enemy 1, 50 jumps to enemy 2, 25% to enemy 3… etc. this way it’s not overpowered and it’s just something useful for crowd control. Then you could boost those numbers in water/rain, maybe 75% to enemy 2 etc. Lastly… FIRE! Fire should be the easiest status effect! Burn is damage over time while they burn, and then they take more damage for a while after. Burn should also stack, because burns hurt and even warm breath hurts when you have a burn… so the next burn should do a bit more damage… but stop there for balancing reasons. I just feel like everyone ignores statuses except bleed, and uses sleep for cheesing and that’s it. Status effects should be something you can build a plan around and utilize it for the right situations! Super fast boss, use cold… slow them down a bit. Boss pair, use madness and turn them on each other! Is there a boss with really short and rare openings, use sleep to take advantage of long stagger and slow recovery times to make your own openings! Are you fighting a boss with annoying npc enemies, use lightning to focus fire on the boss while chipping away at their helpers at the same time. It could be so cool.. I know my ideas aren’t perfect, but it’s just my first ideas… with some thought and balancing, status effects could be really fun and useful and make crafting and gathering worth the effort. We might actually get excited when we find a recipe book and new ingredients!
I've used the vulgar militia gear to get through some high poison/rot areas before. I really like the demihumans and iron shield summons so I'll have to audition these little guys.
I just had an absurd idea for a themed playthrough: Musician! You’d have a horn-section a string instrument (harp-bow) and probably a number of cool quasi-musical sounding weapons. May sound like Industrial (no, not what Americans call industrial, the European stuff like Sonar, Throbbing Gri**** (search that on your work-computer) and the like) but, hey, its considered music. Anyway, I love your videos. I play ER at least as bad (or good) as you and I cannot wait for new episodes. And I think you’d be a great commentator in Bingo Brawlers.
Ngl, I was already aware of the word "ignominy," but only because of the Human Abstract. Also, every video I watch continues to prove that this channel (and its writing) appeals to the perfect blend of my interests with FromSoft, Smash Bros, D&D, anti-right humor, and MtG. Never change, Mr. The Barbarian. You're beautiful.
I've got an interesting build idea (hopefully you haven't already done it, I'm a new-ish viewer) -- Melee INT build. I was commenting on a prior video about how much I enjoy you dunking on typical caster builds in your videos, leading into the melee INT build that I did myself. That gave me the idea to come to the newest video to suggest it, as it'd be much more likely to be seen at all. But, there are quite a few interesting unique weapon choices between Wing of Astel, a few different gravity swords (including Radahn's), and the Royal Greatsword, and more, you've got some decent options. Of course, you could also just take your pick for just about anything else and throw a magic or even cold affinity on it. I'm sure a fire/ice melee STR/INT build could be fun.
I really enjoy your videos. Your reference are *chef kiss*. I have a hard time following along sometimes because your captions are auto generated by RUclips. I can tell you put a lot of effort into your scripts, however due to youtubes poor "auto caption" feature sometimes it is very difficult for me to follow along. Would you ever consider adding your script to the captions so myself and others like me could follow along accurately. Thank you for making great content.

"5 fort height RUclipsrs that have sworn" is gold
I loved the Goblin music. Sounds like its from the 1977 hobbit cartoon movie. Loved watching it as a kid.
This makes me so happy! The vulgar militia are my favorite enemies.
I am so grateful that you finally made the Tyrion Lannister of Elden Ring builds
Tyrion Lannister being a character from George R.R.
Will we ever get a fire or black flame monk run? Amazing video though, gotta love the short kings
LOL you are on a roll with the Fortnite swear bit! 5:52
Red Goblins would be pretty sick if they did forced discard shenanigans like Black Rats do. Though to be fair Red Goblins is one of the gnarliest tribes anyway.
Wasnt expecting a chills meme, but i support it.
This makes me want a Greatshield Skeleton build with the boys
But it could also be a risk to build up madness on yourself…
Cold/frost is alright, it does damage and affects stamina.
After finding these guys just today in my 3rd playtrough as summons (hint, Leyndell hero grave down near the boss doors) - this is a timely appearance
Nice to see short kings represented
Fiddlesticks! It's another Tulok video!
“Coffee soda and smoking all lead to gingivitis” as I’m watching this video while smoking a joint and drinking some coffee
Yoo thanks for putting me in the vid
Marrow Gnawer was an S tier reference.
Absolutely loved the Magic jokes, especially “So Goblin pilled. Gonna make me Squee”
You gotta do the Gojo build. That would be fire. Great video
You had me at GOBLIN MODE
Subbed. All notifications. Should've done this ages ago. Great video.
Google bad dragon on your work computer.
My favorite part is when he said,” It’s Goblin Time!” And the proceeded to goblin all over the place
Dual wielding occult infused saws is absolutely bonkers.
15:49 "OK I'm gonna need a whole *ss f*cking explanation, as to how my sword goes through this dude's chest, and he decides 'nah dawg I'm go-' I mean look at the size of him. My brother, he is 370 f*cking pounds of pure THCC, and you're telling me that I MISSED HIM?!"
- Bushy.
I want the vulgar military chain scythe to be a weapon drop so bad. Like a nox flowing sword.
Fextralife for words joke was peak 👌👌
Christ in a handbasket, I SWEAR!
A lot.
"I have it from Merriam Webster, it's like Fextralife... but for words" xD
i did not know those annoying little dudes were a spirit ash lol
love the goblin town song, that was my favorite movie as a kid.
i always use the vulgar militia as an early game rune farm. if you start at the beast clergyman grace and travel downhill on the left, then back up the middle once you hit the cliff, you can fight them one by one. it's pretty easy when ranged, with enough levels you can two-shot them from torrent and keep moving.
found it interesting you had trouble getting the pants; when i farm them i tend to never find gloves 😆
LOL love the lore voice. 3:38
