I would mod the Stritch 🎸1st, then swap the pups out of the Fender. Sounds like more new content down the road to chase that thing we humans call Tone. LFG!! TY for sharing bro and until next time my fellow Tone-chaser’s…. Get naked, get your shred on, and keep it bluesy.🎉🔥🎸👍🏻💥🤘🏻🍺
Hi Brian. They both sound very similar to me, but I give the slight edge to the Squier. I'd upgrade the Strich. I like to complement you on how you are doing your videos. Your video quality is second to none. The way you edit and present your vides like with the graphics are really good. Your audio is great. I know how to edit vides and it takes time to do it on your level. You are doing a fantastic job.👍👍👍👍👍👍. Oh, I fogot to mention how you present everything in text and your links and decriptions. Really good.
Thank you Mitch it really means a lot. I’m glad it’s appreciated and try to make things more pleasing for the viewers…no matter how many hours it takes me🤣
I got a Squier Debut & did some Mods to itt, Wsa going to add a "Strat O Blaster" Circuit to it until i noticed that a 9 volt would not fit the cavity due to the Slimmer Body ... Stock Pups & Gilmour Switch Wiring and its a Cool Little Guitar
Were people listening through flat response monitors?! I actually thought the Squier sounded kinda weak without that pedal boosting it. When you compare two guitars, I don’t think it should have a pedal helping it along, lol. At that point, it’s like cheating! 😂 Anyway, I listened through speaker and headphone monitors. The Strich is much better without the help of a pedal. Once the pedal is mixed in, the Squier only barely edges in out with the neck pickup and the bridge is about the same. I think people think it’ll be easier to mod the Strich because of the body size. That is true. But you’re not afraid of drills and Dremels so I don’t think you’d mind doing the Fender.
Think you meant the Strich? Tease was the pickguard we were going to use , the pedal was for comparison to see which one handles pedals better. I didn’t go too gainy because at a certain point of gain it’s almost immaterial.
@ yeah typo lol. I know what you’re doing, but it is a bit confusing because people just hear one sounds better without the pedal and call it a day. Just something to think about. If it’s a guitar comparison, you should probably just compare both guitars side by side or else it becomes unfair about which is really better. The better guitar shouldn’t need pedals to sound better, right?! It’s should be able to stand up on its own legs . . . or pegs, in this case! 😉😊
Well i think the Squire has the Neck pickup that Sounds much better, and in the rest of the change up im still liking the Squire the most but will go to the community Post ! TY Brian nice comparison, my Music-In-Law Brother 🤘🎸🤠
I would have to play both , which is more comfortable neck wise check out the hardware etc knobs spring block fret size … if a quick pickup change is all that’s needed or a whole pile of stuff😂
@@RavBunneh I think the debut certainly benefited from the pickup swap if you have t seen the final product. But if you need a total package the Strich is a good buy. But if you get the Squier now at $99 you could get a decent sized affordable amp and have a great package
I'm not into modding guitars. I get the buying a less expensive guitar & improve it. I generally go for the intermediate price range that has better quality & good components. To me the $500-$1500 price range will get some really good stuff.☮-Roady
Some of the budget stuff nowadays can get you more for less. The pickguard and tuners I have already. But you could buy a firefly and throw some Seymour’s and locking tuners and be in for 5-600 and feel like $1500
I prefer the Squier. When you played chords, the pickups seemed clearer and one could hear more notes. That said, I am quite sure both guitars will benefit from better pickups and electronics.
My money is on the Squier - the matte finish begs to be repainted imo, an easier job than working with gloss. The Squier is a perfect upgradeable rig for bottom dollar.
I agree that the Squire sounds better, and the Stritch needs upgrading. However, as a big fan of Tease ( the ST-1 pickups and tuners are great), I would be tempted to mod the guitar that feels better, not the one that sounds worse, to get the best guitar overall. If your ST-1 was not pink, I'd say just leave the parts on the Tease! 😅
🤣they actually both feel pretty good. The pickguard is actually already off the Tease from a previous video where we modded it. I would take the locking tuners and put them in there. But since the pickguard is black I think I’d like to black that out as well
@SearchingForTone I think I'd still probably mod the squire, mostly because I like the finish better. Cheers, man, looking forward to the next one (no pressure)! 😅🎸😎
I still say do the Stitch. The Squire pickguard would be better to put pickups in and not change the pickguard. The Squire is thinner, and I bet the Stitch you won't have to drill out the tuner holes
I really doubt the the Squier CNC machine in China issuperior to its neighbor that's building the Strich. If you believe the Strich sounds inferior, change those out. If not, discover the fun of trying to switch out a Squier pickguard with another brand. The Squier won't be thick enough, most likely.
Squier. I'm a satin finish guy. But I also think it sounds better. And I'm guessing it's built better
Your assesmnet is correct sir
@SearchingForTone it's nearly impossible to beat Squier in the low budget department
Great Video. I am leaning toward.......... I know you guys will make the right choice

Thank you! Who knew this was such an ask, Lost one subscriber with this video guess they thought it was click baity🤣
Intrested to see which way this one goes.
Don't Forget to choose which one we should mod over on our community tab

Nice hope the route is big enough for the pickups. Sorry don’t think I replied or if it it is a double reply disregard🤣
Gotta agree with the other comments (so far), I like the Squier a lot better.
Cheers,
Martin
It is a much better platform I think, not taint the jury pool 🤣

I vote to upgrade the Stritch.

@@SearchingForTone I did, before I posted the comment. :)
I like the Debut since lack of money.

The pickups on the Squier sound brighter but I would mod them both, why mod just one?
Right now just because I have the extra tuners and loaded pickguard , but both are possible mod potentials
I prefer the Squier. When you played chords, the pickups seemed clearer and one could hear more notes. That said, I am quite sure both guitars will benefit from better pickups and electronics.
The Squier for sure felt better too

Just going to swap out a pickguard loaded with pickups from our tease guitar that we modded. Not capable of paint jobs🤣

Where is the post link?
The vote? It’s in the community tab, or the post update video? Thats coming out tomorrow. We tallied the results on last weeks live stream
I think I like the Squier a little better
Yeah, I think so as well
Squire. I upgrade it.
Squier
Spoiler that’s the one that got
Modded
