Just became my favorite horse. Can’t stop crying watching this
I was there that day! It was so emotional in the grandstand, everyone in the crowd knew how meaningful that was.
Watched this live yesterday, and I have never cried before after a race!! What a connection between a horse and a child - something you just can't touch or understand. Cody's sister, too, is one special story - the prior video of her reading to Cody, and then this video of her overwhelmed when Cody's Wish wins. She's so happy for her brother, and seems to understand just how special this moment is.
I was there! Everyone in the grandstand around me had tears. It was such a beautiful moment.

What a beautiful hearted sister too.
I've been watching horses for decades and this was the most satisfying win (loss for me) I've ever seen. Look how proud his sister is of him and how beautiful she is in this moment. The parents are top notch and I'd love to have them sit with me in April at Keeneland's Spring Meet.

Watched this again tonight. Amazing story, horse, race and call. I love when Cody won and you can literally cry along with the analysts. I know it was Randy Moss and Jerry Bailey, but who was the third that said "oh my gosh". That was classic.

That is spectacular and if they don't make a movie shame on them, I've watched this ten times now and have cried every time,if you didn't know this is a true story you NEVER EVER believe it,and there are so many people in this world that have there health and complain,SHAME on them
I kind of don't want Hollywood to make a movie. They tend to screw real stories up and I'd be afraid they'd do an injustice to both Cody and the horse, as well as the family.

I'm going to see how you vote for the Vox Populi award this year. I think this will be an easy vote.
I’m not a racing steward but if you ask me Codeys wish came over on the third place horse and made him check , I’m surprised there wasn’t an objection lodged , because that horse came on again and was only about a length and a half off the winner .
It's a good thing you aren't a racing steward because that horse was fading, not gaining, and there was no contact that constitutes a check. It did not change the outcome of the race.
I could tell you know nothing about horse racing . A horse doesn’t have to make contact to be taken down or lodged an objection against. The greatest miler to ever set foot on a race track , the great Dr. Fager was disqualified for cutting over on the field in a stakes race at Garden State Park going into the Clubhouse turn . The horse that ran third was taken up and had to get back on his lead or you would have seen a different finish . I like Codys wish but he would never get near Dr. Fager at a mile . You see he owns the World Record for the mile in 1:32 and 1 /5 under 134 lbs.

After hours of searching (and watching vids) I finally found the coverage here: Breeders’ Cup 2022 | Live 360° VR | Saturday Nov. 5. The horse is brought to the winner's circle at the 3:30 hour mark. They didn't bring Cody's Wish to Cody in the winner's circle this time. Maybe too chaotic with so many people and reporters around and a tight schedule.

Can we please forget about Secretariat for one F**king minute? He did lose 4 times!!! Wasn't " unbeatable" Man-O war only lost once! Spectacular Bid only 2x and he ran a full 2 yr. Old and 4 yr. Old season. And he still holds the world record for 1 1/4 miles.. Citation won a race BETWEEN the Preakness and Belmont! So, unless they all line up and race, it's subjective! This story is about Cody! Please no Secretariat is the best defenders in here! ♥️🙏🇺🇸

@@chrisp.9172 Secretariat ran a full 2yr old season as well, and he would've raced as a 4yr old had his syndication deal not forced him to retire at 3. You say he's not unbeatable, well neither were Man o' War and Spectacular Bid, since they both also lost
You brung up secretariat on a video about a disabled child who had a horse named after him?? Secretariat never even ran in the breeders cup classic. Idc how much records that deceased horse set, this comment is grossly tasteless. Especially since the kid passed away after this race.
