I think these in-use boxes are great. Im using them to mount my ring plug-in cameras and hide the wiring nicely without burying power cables inside a wall.

So on the light fixture boxes do the fixtures mounting brackets go over the top of that trim plate? Like do you install the box trim plate first then install the light fixture? Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks for watching and commenting Bryce. The top trim plate goes inside the mounting base. The device strap screws on top of the trim plate. And then light is installed. I'm thinking about doing a typical light installation on this type of Arlington light block.

Oh ok makes sense. I’ll probably start using these on some of my jobs. Would you recommend using these for hardie board siding as well or just vinyl? Thanks for responding.

@@brycestrickland2756 I would think you could as long as you flash and tape in. I would refer to Arlington for the proper box in this application.

Gotta make sure that 5/16 is perfect or you’ll pick up on that 16th if you make it a 1/4 lol. Just busting chops ron. Good stuff

Can u run 12/2 for everything instead of 14/2..

Thanks for watching and commenting. Very good question.😎 Absolutely yes! If cost and 12-2 wire is available 🤔.
Two main problems in doing this can be, box size=box fill calculation. You may not be able to find the right size box to accommodate your (wire count) if your running a lot of three and four way stitched circuits in building's.
Second 🤔if your working with 12-2 solid wire all day / day in / day out ? Your fingers, hands and wrist are gonna get tired and quite possibly experience corporal tunnel doing this work for a living. I hope that answers your question?
