@Quiet Birb the children wearing animal masks were simply children who had been buried in the pet sematary, which means they came back as monsters. I just watched the movie and saw the scene when the wife was in the car she said she was close to home, and the town sign said Derry, just like the town from It, So PennyWise lives near the Sematary. Just a weird thing I wanted to point out.
I was thinking that the whole reason why Jud tells Louis about the grounds beyond the Pet Sematary was that once you use the power of the Wendigo, you’re marked by it and pretty much forced to pass along the information.
Ermmmm totally disagree that the original isn't good. Just rewatched it again recently and it still holds light to the lifeless 2019 remake/is far more unnerving
Agree, Dude lost believability right there. The original is a classic, and far superior to the the remake. Which I did not hate, but it was not on the same level as the original.
A couple things. First, Ellie did know she's dead because she said to her father, "Im dead." And in another scene after the mother calles, Ellie says "what are you going to tell her?" Also, there is a fresh grave in the Pet Sematary the first time Ellie foes there, which must be where the kids just buried rhe dog. A few things that dont make sense. First, if the mother was so horrified by zombie Ellie, why wasn't her first instinct to get back in rhe car with Gage and drive away? Second, why didn't she barricade herself better in the bathroom? She just allowed zombie Ellie to bust in. Also, she just sat there with jer arms at her sides, allowing Ellie to slowly stab her, offering no resistance whatsoever. Wouldn't she have fought for the mere reason that she had another kid to protect? Also, how was Zombie Ellie strong enough to drag a grown woman up that giant pile of limbs and branches? She obviously didnt have super strength because she had such a hard time getting through the bathroom door. And why would the Dad leave his family in danger to go check on Judd? And why would Judd just lay there and get stabbed? And most of all...WHY weren't they keeping a closer eye on the kids during the party when they KNEW they lived on a dangerous road???
Well, cutting ones achilles heel would slow you down...as for why the mom and Jud didn't fight harder, the Wendigo is a force, Ellie is part of that force. It weakens you and draws you to it.. the same force that drew the dad there to bury her in the first place.
I'm too tired to bother answering the other questions because this movie is a pile of shit anyways, but "Also, how was Zombie Ellie strong enough to drag a grown woman up that giant pile of limbs and branches?" this was answered in the book. The Wendigo's influence was able to make things impossible, possible. There is a character in the book who buried a bull named Hanratty...something like that, up in the ancient Indian burial ground, somehow he took a forklift up there and through a swamp. The book is masterful in explaining that this monster of pure evil could influence things in ways that only something supernatural could.
She did have super strength because she was able to push open a door with a table blocking it, something that a normal little girl couldn’t do. Judd also did try to lunge for his gun but got killed before he could do it. I don’t think the Dad fully comprehend what a danger Ellie was until he found Judd dead; he was in deep denial. The criticism about playing a blindfold game in the front yard next to a dangerous highway is valid though. Also the fact that he decided to try to dump the zombie cat far away but still alive rather than try to find another way to kill it or have Judd do it was pretty dumb.
Would have been better to have the lil girl's face bashed in like the guy Victor, she would have been scarier looking once she came back from the dead.
TampaOutlaw I agree! I still don't understand why they made victor looked like that and not Ellie? Btw, I think it's a better choice to make Ellie the first one to die. But now, I wanna know what will happen next to gage and the whole family, jus and the whole town 😭
It just occurred to me: the father essentially caused the horrible deaths of his entire family...because he didn't want to have an unpleasant talk with his daughter or fight with his wife.
He was actually wanting to tell Ellie about death and that the cat had died. His wife decided they would just tell her that the cat ran away and argued and guilt tripped him until he agreed to it
@@jessicastanley1817 That's fair; but if he'd just stood his ground and said "no, we need to be honest and have this conversation with her", then all of what came after could likely have been avoided.
The cat was played by 3 or 4 rescues and they all got adopted afterwards. One had to be kept separate cause he wasn’t very friendly with others but the others played well together.

Also ironic that it's said curiosity killed the cat, but the less common ending to the phrase is "but satisfaction brought it back". Satisfaction from what, exactly, is never specified...
I just started this video but you know how penny wise comes back every 30 years and the first It was made in 1987 and the new one was made in 2017? The first pet sematary was made in 1989 and the new one is 2019. 30 year difference with both of them🤔
Man, I remember being like 7 and watching this with my older brother in like 98’. This movie scared the hell out of me! The newer version has NOTHING on the first one. So terrifyingly good
It’s gross to me that the top comment on every one of these videos is “lmao who just watches these videos instead of watching the movie.” That being said, good job on this breakdown. I really appreciate the time you take to make these, and how damn fast you churn ‘em out. That’s no small task. Excellent job as always.
Sheida Yogo Yeah I definitely get that, but that’s somewhat implied. I’m just saying that making that type of comment on one of FF’s vids is basically a free top comment card.
I don't actually think this version will be remembered in the way the 1989 version has been and for that reason I'd say it's not superior. The acting is okay but there's nothing memorable about it.
I think it’s easy to have a continuation. The whole ending with the family coming back to the car could’ve just been baby Gage’s bad dream. And what really happened was that he didn’t listen to his dad and did leave the car. He probably wandered into the house, got scared and then went out to the highway and just kept walking until a townsfolk picked him up and by that time, Zombie Family was long gone. Then you can go from there with whatever sequel you wanna write; adult gage comes back to get answers, or direct sequel where the townsfolk have t deal with an army of resurrected loved ones, etc.
Correct. The wendigo comes from an old folktale. Dunno how people turn into wendigos but a wendigo is basically a cannibal vampire with really long limbs. Until dawn has the best depiction of a wendigo, I think.
This is my first ending explained video from this channel, I gotta say, unlike a lot of videos that explain endings of horror movies, I love how this isn’t just explaining the ending, it also does a bit of an analysis on the film and feels like a sort of mini review of the film while also bringing up some facts, really makes these videos pretty awesome. As such, I am now a subscriber, keep up the good work my dude

It took me a minute to realize that we see in the beginning the car door is open, we knew he didnt make it in the end... I actually enjoy the movie, made for some freaked out friends.
I really prefer the ending from the ‘89 version instead of the 2019 version’s ending. Outside of Avengers: Infinity War, I just friggin’ hate endings in which the protagonist doesn’t make it through in the end and become a victim themselves. They just end up being too much of an annoying downer for me and just leave me more ticked off with the conclusion.
Around 11:05 you say the evil has attached to Rachel and Gage because he sees Victor, but Victor was never evil. Victor was trying to help them (at least in the book)
I remember especially as a kid watching the original "Paxcow" was always my favorite character!🙄 And even though I've watched every horror movie you can imagine ever since I was little, Zelda was one of the few that actually scared me.

You should do The Skeleton Key. That movie just sticks with me for some reason.

It sticks with you because of that outrageous "Cajun" accent Kate Hudson had at the end.

Bendito yes...and when he trips and falls.....poor lil cutie!!! I love when he growls before he dies....
I was thinking that the whole reason why Jud tells Louis about the grounds beyond the Pet Sematary was that once you use the power of the Wendigo, you’re marked by it and pretty much forced to pass along the information.
Thanks for that cause I was confused why he even told Louis about it in the first place

Ermmmm totally disagree that the original isn't good. Just rewatched it again recently and it still holds light to the lifeless 2019 remake/is far more unnerving
The lead actress is dogshit though
Agree, Dude lost believability right there. The original is a classic, and far superior to the the remake. Which I did not hate, but it was not on the same level as the original.
The original is one of my favorite movies was weird to hear he thought the new one was better, the ramones song bangs aswell haha
The original is also very close to the book.
Because lazy plot
Because it’s a horror movie, what did u expect? People finally NOT falling? Yea I don’t think so
She did have super strength because she was able to push open a door with a table blocking it, something that a normal little girl couldn’t do.
The truck accident wasn't believable enough.
Note: this is why I've never watch the trailer first, sometimes it spoil the movie 🤷♀️

That’s a really good point
He was actually wanting to tell Ellie about death and that the cat had died. His wife decided they would just tell her that the cat ran away and argued and guilt tripped him until he agreed to it

The cat was played by 3 or 4 rescues and they all got adopted afterwards. One had to be kept separate cause he wasn’t very friendly with others but the others played well together.

Havent seen the movie, but I'm so proud of the multiple cat actors that played Church in the reboot! Their names are JD, Leo, and Tonic! They performed multiple roles, like stunts, hissing on command, and other things! Also ironic that it's said curiosity killed the cat, but the less common ending to the phrase is "but satisfaction brought it back". Satisfaction from what, exactly, is never specified...
Presumably from finding out the answer to what it was curious about.

Cool observation!
The first original It movie came out in 1990
It comes back every 27 years
IT comes out every 27 years
Man, I remember being like 7 and watching this with my older brother in like 98’.

@@zacstract8239 I know right?
I think it’s easy to have a continuation. The whole ending with the family coming back to the car could’ve just been baby Gage’s bad dream. And what really happened was that he didn’t listen to his dad and did leave the car. He probably wandered into the house, got scared and then went out to the highway and just kept walking until a townsfolk picked him up and by that time, Zombie Family was long gone. Then you can go from there with whatever sequel you wanna write; adult gage comes back to get answers, or direct sequel where the townsfolk have t deal with an army of resurrected loved ones, etc.
Now that's a perfect idea
It's not a dream. They are all reanimated, and Gage is killed and about to be reanimated, too. Dumbest ending ever.
Windgo so like when he said that did anyone else think of Until Dawn. The game? Or is it just me? Me? Ok.

Hadi Bhatti shut the fuck up you racist shit
Correct. The wendigo comes from an old folktale. Dunno how people turn into wendigos but a wendigo is basically a cannibal vampire with really long limbs. Until dawn has the best depiction of a wendigo, I think.

I think the family could possibly be on a mission to change the entire town now. Also note that the reborn might not be the actual family but bad spirits using the bodies as vessels.
