Who here thinks it would be very interesting to see a mashup of robot Wars/Battlebots and Scrap Heap Challenge? Two teams, ten hours, build any type of robot they can manage out of a scrap yard. End of the day fight them to determine the winner.

It's actually a bit of a shame, as Nuts 2 was a hell of a lot more powerful than the previous version, but some faulty wiring I believe cost them the match.
I don't know how spinners have been the meta for so long. To me it would be trivial to add a modular mop head to any fight against any kind of spinner. I'm honestly shocked that I haven't seen that at all

It seems that the change to another camera is poorley timed, just when camera 1 is seeing something interesting, lets cut to camera 2 for someone's head, or a robot doing nothing?!
Yeah, Terrorhurtz competed with Beta. Razer competed with Warhead, and Carbide competed with Cobalt. Cobalt didn't do well but Beta went really far and Warhead had a couple of very good fights. Also Team Mortis from the old series competed with Obwalden Overlord, a very experimental robot.
well they have filmed an international competition, not sure if any BB teams were there though. Even if they were, expect different names and paintwork (bullshit copyright things where they hav to give battlebots the rights to their robots name and image)

You can certainly say that the reboot was finally greenlit in response Battlebots' success, but it's far from copying, unless you count making a show about the heavyweight class of combat robots a copy
Well Robot Wars came out early 90s in the US as a live show then came to the UK in 1995 as a open event which then the BBC commisioned the series for it and was aired in 1998
The problem with the relaunch of this show was talking absolute nonsense with stupid long epilogues for 15 minutes before the wars began. It could have and should have been better produced than this
I used to watch this as a kid I can't believe they actually still have this! All I remember is Chaos 2 or something like that.

Nuts is a spinning twackbot and is extremely powerful. It came 5th in the UK in 2016, however i think blew its ESC during the start of the fight.
Nuts is the best. I don't care about actual quality. It's lots of fun

Some of these teams have appeared on battle bots. Terror hurts, razer, and carbide from what I remember.
