API stands for Application Programming Interface.
API is a defined set of rules, which contains clearly defined methods of communication. API helps different software components to interact with each other.
API testing involves testing the collection of APIs and checking if they meet expectations for functionality, reliability, performance, and security and returns the correct response.

I'm going to piggyback on this dude with the requests... maybe a short one on a TDD approach to development? On the front end with just render methods and whatnot it's easy, but not so much for the backend... or at least the docs aren't great.
This video is really very helpful. You explained it very well with simple, and understandable presentation. Basic concepts needs to be clear and you did that really very well. Thanks for sharing knowledge. Looking forward to learn from basic to advance REST API testing using postman

Hi Mr Pramod. I am a big fan of your videos. I just wanted to know one thing. In a real QA environment, we get many responses once we inspect. I want to know, how we can get to know which request URL is required to copy. I know different HTTP methods which represent the action, it might be PUT/GET/POST/Delete. But with the same method name, we get most of the responses. So please let me understand how to select the correct Request URL?

This could have been one of the best tutorial video's on this subject as it has great presentation content and bullet points, the presenter definitely is knowledgeable in this subject however he appears to rush through his explanations and he failed to zoom in closer to some of the text - hence users are unable to see some of what was being displayed. I am looking to learn about API testing and this is the first of his video's I am viewing - I am hoping he slows the speed of his verbatim down in the subsequent videos.

Could you please tell me where I can learn to integrate some test/dummy API's end-to-end. I mean, like starting from API name and link and company providing it, API documentation to read about input and output parameters and their formats, setting up api details in postman, etc. That would be final practice for me.

i am hitting "reqres.in/api/users?page=1" in postman but i am getting error "Could not get any response" . If i see your video i see there are 9 headers values. Can you tell me is this is the reason i am getting the error.

No, You should go with Selenium, Cypress or Other Tools for that.
