Sometimes I can not believe that there are people who spend days to make such great educational videos are generous enough to host them for free on RUclips. Thank you so much for all the work you did to make this video
I've always thought the same thing. Especially people with small accounts making $0 from it, teaching you to fix your car or something with no intention of making money off youtube, just trying to help people
This is literally everything I needed. I've spent a week trying to find any good course in online platforms and now I'm watching the best one for free.
This is such an incredible video that covers the fundamentals of API testing through Postman. Your pacing, amount of detail per each segment, and practice assignments were all spot-on. Looking forward to watching more of your content and truly appreciate the hard work to help others grow.
I'n only 1/3 of the course but I already fell in love with the way he articulately presents the steps. Not many people can teach but this dud does. You're born with this teaching skill. Thank you!
For some reason, if I use the Postman API installed on my hardware it doesn't work. But if I use the browser version, the simple book api works! Not sure why though
@@monsterneko3181 they may have seen thos comment because it works for me now. Before i had to wait like 3 minutes for a request to respond now is just a second.

Hi Valentina, this is THE best video on postman for beginners. Thanks a lot for all your effort in making this. I have one small problem, I used the {{$randomFullname}} in my requests, but i dont know how to assert the same in a test. So, is there anyway we can do it?
An outstanding course !!! A must-watch for anyone starting with postman. It's clear, concise and has very bright assignments to practice and check your understanding. A big "BRAVO" and many, many thanks to Valentin.
Thank you for your kind words, Fred! I'm glad that the course was able to provide you with the knowledge and skills you needed to get started with Postman. If you have any further questions or need additional guidance, please don't hesitate to ask.
Next time if u r giving tutorials never ever use dark theme, it's too difficult to read in a dark theme rather than white background with letters written in black which is easily readable and pleasent to eye.
Hi! Useful video, thank you. Just want to ask: is anyone receiving an error when trying to order a book? Up to that point, the responses were the ones you got. But I get "Invalid or missing bookId", even though I get the list of books and their id's are ok. L.E.: Yep, found my mistake. I forgot to select JSON. Issue solved. I will leave the comment in case someone else needs it :)
If anyone gets the “API client already registered” error when creating a token @36:10 change the client name and email to something unique. Don’t use the same domain like I did smh
I've been looking for a good Postman course for so long and this is the best one! Especially because it also teaches the automation fundamentals, no just Postman features. Thank you so much Valentin! =)
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial! I am following along with lesson 10. "POST" with body of { "bookId": 1, "customerName": "John" }, the response throws an error: "Invalid or missing bookId". Would you check that? Appreciated!
I truly enjoyed going through this tutorial! I had some basic knowledge about testing APIs in Postman. But this video just brought a whole new dimension to it.
You are just a life saver, I am just a beginner and this video has helped me in undemanding some of the things I dreaded about APIs. Well done and thanks for your time.

Not going to lie, learning web dev going into backend felt so intimidating. This course was really fun and knowing how to run API calls with Postman feels like a new superpower.
Hi Valentin, Amazing tutorial for beginners, easily understandable. Your voice makes clearly get into the concept, I just felt only intro part little not understandable where you talk about power plug(May be only for me...Sorry) else superb superb
firstly thanks for your great course, but I have a question: how to enable JavaScript in postman?? I searched a lot about it but couldn't find any satisfactory answers :'(
Thank you for this awesome course! I just have a question. When we take a token and copy it for authorization, I forgot to copy it and sent another request to {{baseUrl}}/api-clients/. But this time as in the video, I recieve "error": "API client already registered." I waited for a couple of hours but I still get the same error. Does anyone know how I can solve this?
Hii Valentin, In the assignment of Lesson 24, in the test script you checked the type of only the first object of the response. Is there a way to iterate through all of the objects of the response?
Hi @vdespa , this video was really helpful and well explained. There is a problem I couldn't find the solution yet and it's the following, I've done everything as you did in the tutorial but, when running the collection with Newman all my Order tests are failing (they pass in Postman). The error I'm getting is that the endpoint is returning a plain text instead of a JSON. Do you know what can it be?
So I paid around $20 for a highly rated Udemy course, and I feel robbed after watching this video. So clear and concise, great job on what I can only describe as a great tutorial for Postman!

Anyway, in about 35 minutes I got stuck because when POST / api-clients and then sending the request it gives me error 404 not found, which is a problem because I don't get the same output and I don't know how to proceed. If anyone has experience and can advise me I would be very grateful. well thank you

For sure, with normal theme, you can't see anything. Does not matter wich OS.
As a QA automation engineer, I purposely keep it in light theme, since developers keep it dark. Archenemies:)
