On my 2020, which is essentially the same frame and body as the 2005 and onward to 2022, there is an unused grommet in the firewall above and to the left (from then inside viewpoint) of the brake pedal, that has a /2 hole into the engine compartment. When I added a rear camera unit I found it easy having run the cable under the truck frame to run the cable thru this hole into the drivers side pedals area, then wherever you need.
Incredible that a current market head unit manufacturer is using this dudes video as their install video with no credits given. P.L.Z. provides this video as their instructions.
@@mcgurrentertainmentit's a vehicle specific install video, it's OK. . They sent me your video in response to "your backup camera viewer does not have guideline options".
Thank you. I wish i did record the installation. Sadly, it would be difficult to create a video without tearing everything out and recreating the process.
Wouldn't it be better to test the camera before replacing the trim just in case the camera just happens to malfunction. I do appreciate your detail on the install. Thank you.
Hey, thank you for the video as I have the exact same truck and want to do the same. The only question I have for you is how long of a rear camera cable do I need? Mine came with a 20 foot cable however I can’t get a 33 foot or 50 foot cable if needed
Simply disconnect the connector we modified and connect the trailer light harness. Besides, the camera is likely not helpful with a trailer blocking it.
@@mcgurrentertainment Quick question for you, you connected the short power wire from the camera to the pink wire that connects to the DIN unit correct? And then the red power wire would go to the reverse light hot wire
Man, theres a grommet on the passenger side right under the kick panel/carpet. Right near the middle i believe. Coylda skipped all that back seat removal. Thats where i dropped mine through. REALLY good videos though.
So what you’re saying is I can avoid going through the seat removal altogether? You’re saying that this Gromit is on the passenger side front on a 2011 Nissan frontier sv. Mine has the two doors with the two hidden doors.

Very nice. Thats a very good option. The reason I chose not to use this route was due to my power cord for my inverter using that grommet.

It happens. Hopefully, you found it helpful

@RussSmith wow, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully, they were able to provide some support.
Underrated channel. More tutorials should be like this. Just bought a 2008 and am looking forward to doing this upgrade
Thank you very much. It really does mean a lot
Brother you are making things fun and easy to do. Thanks a lot.
Thank you
This format makes it easy to work on my truck. Could you do a video on how you installed the inverter?
Thank you. I wish i did record the installation. Sadly, it would be difficult to create a video without tearing everything out and recreating the process.
Bro I would love a tutorial of how to install this camera in a 4 door car 🙏🏼
Gotcha. I will make a mental note if the opportunity arises.

Yes. It would be a good idea to test before reinstalling the interior trim. Thank you for the support

That's a tough one. I recommend using 20 feet for string to see if it will reach. Sadly, I did measure the exact amount required.
I have a similar truck, thanks for the tutorial, Subscribed!
Thank you very much
Do you have any videos about keyless entry. For the same car. Thanks
Not yet, but that's a good idea
So what do you do if you end up needing the trailer lights for an actual trailer?
Simply disconnect the connector we modified and connect the trailer light harness. Besides, the camera is likely not helpful with a trailer blocking it.
"Basically", it's a great tutorial. 😂
Thank you!!!
Good tutorial but I am looking for a video to be able to do this but for a Jeep TJ
Thank you. I will keep that in mind when I come across a jeep
@@mcgurrentertainment awesome thank you, if anyone has done this for a Jeep wrangler 2002 it would be great if I could ask any questions

Thank you. Yea, I saw that one. The passenger side drop is also a good option.
Now to plan out the same for my crew cab.
