- Recorded live on february 28, 1999 at the Masonic Temple in San Francisco.
This is an audience, and therefore imperfect recording. The applause at the beginning and the end of the track was removed.
Keith Jarret - p
Gary Peacock - b
Jack DeJohnette - d
Film: cut up and rearranged sequence of a walk through the Holocaust memorial in Berlin on a winters day in 2013.
Keith Jarrett represents the open and loving flow of the universe.
Keith is amazing! OMJarrett how good he is. surprises me all the time, enchants me. I've listened to his other version of this awesome Poinciana and I can't say which one I like better, love both of them so much! only Keith Jarrett is able to surpass Keith Jarrett, it's fantastic!!! I love Ahmad Jamal's version with all my heart but Keith? he thrills me, he astonishes me! beloved Keith.
it's a great mix , film and music , beautiful homage
Fijn dat je het mooi vindt.
Hypnotic, beguiling and supremely enthralling rendition of Poinciana, up there with Ahmad Jamal.
Thank you for uploading this!
Great work!
Thanks for sharin
Thanks. Glad you found it.
RIP Mr Gary Peacock
fantastic rendition. thank you for this
I've been looking for this exact recording for a couple years. So grateful to you for sharing this. Blessings to you.
I love this version and the Ahmad Jamal version have a very sensitive and delicate playing. This version sounds as natural as the original.
Stunning graphic accompaniment. Ironic since poinciana is song of the trees, apparently. But I t offsets the music interestingly. Thanks for posting. Music good too of course. Am searching through the various interpretations of Poinciana on RUclips. Was hoping Jarrett had played it.
Great! I was looking for some other recording of Keith's playing Poinciana
Sweet music. I need a piano.
このアルバム、最高です!
Opinión impopular: me gusta esta versión porque no se escuchan las expresiones vocales de Jarrett.
That was my first transcription 🙏just not
This live verzion
Awesome rendition! Is it just me or do the bldgs represent giant piano keys? 🤔
Ricardo Salazar I think it’s just you but from now on it will be difficult to not see them as piano keys :-)
I’m afraid it looks like the Holocaust Memorial site in Berlin. I guess art should be freely interpreted, but I think it’s a poor choice for this joyous music.
I didn’t like ( understand?) Keith Jarett before this version of Ahmad Jamal’s tube…great!
Masonic Temple !!
K Jarrett is of that obedience ?
what is this terrible movie?
Refer to @RicardoSalazar and reply ;)
I hate to be that guy, but it looks like the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin. If it is, then to use the footage as an accompaniment to this exquisite music is in very poor taste indeed.
