It's great to see jazz pianists of this caliber play the masters of classical repertoire. It's a little like Jackson Pollack doing a figurative painting like Rembrandt, just to show everyone that he can do it
Which I doubt he could
@@MrMaynardWR ha! obviously it was hypothetical. I doubt Pollack even knew who Rembrandt was, let alone paint like him
STUPENDOUS! RIP Chick Corea---thank you for all the great music over the years. You were truly a great pianist and keyboardist, and a pioneer in the world of jazz fusion.
CHIARI COREA
Impeccable rhythm - as only master jazz pianists can execute!
Everything is genius about this, the orchestra, Keith and Chick, and the angle montage of both pianos at the same time. Brilliant.
Magnificent and fabulous!!! I would never imagine that kind of classic music could be presented by these two great jazzmen
Why not? If they went to music school, play it all. Watch Green Book and read bios. Go .2 library. Beethoven kept a medical journal. He and Mozart were friends.
RIP Maestro Chick Corea
Great to see these two TOGETHER, and demonstrating some CLASSICAL chops, no less. ;-)
Absolutely wonderful!
More pianists from the Jazz (non-classical) world should collaborate and play Western Classical Music. It's so refreshing to see their talent and enjoyment of playing outside their genre.
How did I not hear about this because I am a massive Jazz fan as well and remember Keith Jarrett's Koln Concert.
Two wonderful Jazz pianists become classicists.
Love it!
(Perry, London)
Amazing video. 2 of the greats. It's so good to see them playing classical music together. Thanks for posting this!
Dear Murftown: This is a good start for both of them.
I was at that concert, such a magical night!
I was sitting right next to you i enjoyed it as well
@@buckylove6918 How do you know?
I was sitting in your exact same seat!
I want to hear more songs by this MORZART guy! He's obviously a genius! Almost as good as Mozart!
Yes, ARMADILLUS MORZART, what a stand up guy
Hilarious
I don't believe I could love Keith Jarrett more than I do. he is a glorious human being, a dazzling talent. his genius is always surprising me, far beyond my expectations. he is the master of my jazzy heart.
and I say so, in spite of my great appreciation and respect for Chick Corea.
I agree. I adore Keith Jarrett!
Gary burton
Keith Jarrett just has such classical levels of phrasing and intonation that he makes full use of in his jazz that it transforms it into something else. Chick has that same talent he just chose to make different uses with it. That being said I do prefer Keith's way. The most simple of songs he transforms it into a whole new experience.
@@alexeonbel4304 I couldn't agree more 🤗 Mr Jarrett is a higher music entity.
@@matheusg7387 sim, eu sou.
I've missed most of my whole life. To see Chic Corea playing Classic Music
Some great musicianship from the Japanese orchestra.

Impressive ensemble playing....marvelous Mozart ...'it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!'
doo-ah doo-ah doo-ah doo-ah doo-ah
beautiful performance both are wonderful musicians
Astounding to listen to Mr. Jarrett play "Over the Rainbow" and then this Mozart Concerto.
i guess im asking randomly but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow lost the account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Lorenzo Zane Instablaster ;)
Awesome video, thank you. Music is so beautiful from the hearts within.
Absolutely amazing. Just WOW!
Amazing! Lovely rendering of Mozart, with rhythm and elegance.
Such a Marvellous interpretation from two Jazz pianists
Great presentation! Love the way you split the screen like that so we c an see both players, just marvelous! Two very talented men. Chick Corea will be 78 next month (June 12) happy early birthday to him.
Just goes to show that great pianists can play music of any genre.
Definitely feel good music.
Not true. Look at my comment close to the top.

its amazing to see jazz pianists sight read and play classical pieces . Mind blown.
I doubt they were sight reading. I’m sure they rehearsed the heck out of their parts!
The beauty of being a classically-trained pianist.
Bravo! The best of the Best! Thanks!
Cmon guys, everybody knows... when a certain quantity of Mozart isn't enough, you ask for MORZART!
Shiba Doge
Shiba Doge what???
Amine Rihani ...I don’t understand bro
And, of course... More cowbell!
@@anitarussum4590 If you look at the title, you'll see "MORZART", so he is mocking the title.....
Thanks for posting, it sounds great.
Amazing!
I miss these guys
Marvelous! Congratulations to ever arranged this concert.
Favoloso.Grazie♥️ Grazie !
heard Chick Corea in Berlin, about 1975 and Keith Jarrett later, twice, in Lyon and Antibes, lucky me.
WOW & WOW & the individual parts of the whole WOW. Thank you. 👣🎼🕊💚
Amazing, thanks you!.
No hay palabras
exelentes musicos Chick y Jarrett.
Thanks so much for uploading this 🤗, great historical content.
Fantastic!
Yes really Gods🌷love to see them playing, often this piece🌺
Wow, I mean it takes classical music for Kieth to not have a heart attack when he plays 🎹
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Go, Eric, go! Love the jazz. Keep it coming!

That was beyond incredible.

I started out with pop and then jazz piano. later I came to bach and mozart and so on. And I tell you, they did some really nice jazz back then! :D
All round masters 👏

Keith Jarett, much respect - classically!
I know much about "Chic" musically.

Hearing them, not seeing
Wow, I've never seen them play classical or read sheet music. True virtuosity.

Fabuloso.

In their most prime. Wonderful wonderful.
Wow. I thought these guys just had great chops but I see here that they're actually virtuosos.
I wish this would play more often
Very good pianist
Wonder what Miles would've made of this! Lovely
Excelente .
This must be in Ancient Greece - where else do you find two gods on the same podium together?
I don't know, heard people say porn is good
Corea was from Calabrian origin, southern Italy. That part was called Magna Graecia in the past, as many greek colonies were there. Very probably he has Greek blood.
3 indeed… including Mozart !!
What this song needs is MORE MORZART!!!
GRAN PRESENTACION DE DOS GRANDES MAESTROS DE PIANO MUNDIAL CHICK COREA ADEMAS ALLI MUY JOVENCITO ANTES DE SU EXPLOSION MUSICAL QUE LO CONVIRTIO EN UNO DE LOS MAS GRANDES PIANISTAS DE JAZZ DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS UN FENOMENO JUNTO ALAS MEGA ESTRELLAS UN PLACER INCOMPARABLE
jajajaj, hahaha,,, it's amazing to see this; The Chick Corea of the theme Spain and the Keith of Last Solo in Tokyo in 1984 playing Mozart as yes nothing. They are unique, the best, my favorites
wow!
Thenks
Bravooo
Was a challenge to listen to and watch these jazzy boys playing classical because I tend not to mix my music yet I had to accept that it was the same brains and hands that produced this. Took me some time and I may have to listen again. Perhaps then I might want to say that these classical gents play jazz, too!
Genios
Music is not "jazzified", or "classicalized" - it is played. Music is music - as interpretated at that moment
Yessss
jazz is improvisational.
I've taken so much acid i have no idea what you said but it made me trip.
@@patwood8534 chissà allora quanto doveva essere jazzista mozart
Definitively no. Músic has its personality too.
i used to not think much about mozart too... but when i started listening to his operas, that's when i started to understand his unique genius almost against my will -
I loved Mozart from the start with "Ah vous dirai=je Maman", how can someone not love him, beyond my grasp
