    Guys, in case you as well were not able to connect each channel to separate Mixer track, you might want to check the article from native instruments, their explanation helped me! Just search in the search engine: "How to Create Multiple Outputs in KONTAKT and Route Them to a DAW", worked for me immediately!

    • @estevonba
      @estevonba 4 года назад +3

      There is only one edition of Kontakt 6 - it has 64 outputs (same as "Kontakt 5"). The edition with 8 and 16 outs have been dropped.
      Now, while the plug-in has 64 outs (and they should all be seen in a DAW), you do not need to use them all. Just set up the Mixer channels and route to them as you wish. (As described in the User Manual / Outputs chapter.)

    Alex, I have made a template like this, however, I removed all the instruments so that it's just 9 empty instances of Kontakt that have all the midi routing set up so I can just quickly drag and drop instruments I want to use. However, everytime I drag an instrument into the kontakt instances, my FL Studio crashes. I'm only using 2000mb of memory and hardly any of my CPU is being used according to task manager. Any ideas what might be the problem?

    dude, you have changed my life with these videos, especially this one! I've copied your template verbatim. I've had a problem with my midi keyboard freaking out with all the instances of BRS, Kontakt etc.. and it makes the notes hang when i play the keyboard, its like there's too much midi information and the whole combination makes freaks out.
    Anyways, i'm sure you may have had this question a lot, but i haven't been able to map the pitch wheel in BRS, its not a CC, the only way i can get the pitch wheel to work is if i have one instance of kontakt open and just have one patch. but at soon as i had BRS as the midi output/input, no mod wheel. I've heard there is a common problem with pitch wheel and Fruity loops/midi keyboards, but FL havent addressed it. has this happened to you? I have a cheap 100 dollar 61key midi keyboard, it might be the problem interfacing with FL. but i have no idea, theres not much information out. I thought maybe you would have come across this issue.
    Peace to you my friend, thank you so much for your content, you truly are inspiring

    Briliant tutorial (as always). Quick question to you (or anyone) - I am routing all my instruments to BRSO articulate as instructed. But my mod wheel does not automatically set up for each instrument. I have to individual link to controller for every instant. And as soon as I do that, it cancels the link to all the other instruments. Trying everything to fix it (sure there is an easy fix) - anyone have any ideas so that the mod wheel will automatically be selected for all instruments ?

    Man I watch so much stuff on a multi outputs and east west and native Instruments and trying to get multiple instruments in one instance.
    Let's say I got three instances of opus open, and I have 10 patches in each. Doesn't really matter what...
    If I'm using the mod wheel to control the expression/dynamics, how do I get it to only control the third patch in the second instance while I'm messing around with that while the other music is playing?
    Because it seems to me like every time I start setting up one instance with a bunch of midi channels patches. Or I can't get anything but the first midi channel to work.

    Thanks a lot for this - was looking for something similar for a long time!
    There's a question, though. This Send trick with reverb. I did not get - dose it really save CPU? I mean - the reverb plugin, even though it was loaded only to one channel - works separately for each Send channel, that allows presuming, that there are as many instances of Reverb plugin working, as there are channels being sent to it. So there would be no difference, if I would just put the reverb separately into Strings, Brass, and other group channels, right? I am just trying to figure out the way routing works in FL in this case. I would be really thankful for an answer!)

    • @AlexMoukala
      @AlexMoukala  4 года назад +1

      I don't think you can count that as becoming one instance for each channel that is sent there.
      The Reverb simply processes all the audio that is sent to it at once, so it's mutliple audio sources and ONE reverb vs having a reverb on every channel.
      It does save CPU and most especially, it makes it easy for you to tweak the reverb on all instruments at the same time.
      However, FL Studio also ends up using a bit more resources when you have a complex send / bus system in your project file, so I think it will still use a considerate amount of CPU all things considered.

    There was a horrible memory leak with windows 10 using 39% of my memory of 32GB of ram (which was shitty because none of background stuff that's on windows dosen't add to that much like wtf i found a way to fix) then compared loading kontakt in bitwig and fl studio 20 and theres a big difference (i find it weird) that fl studio it takes much less ram to have kontakt than bitwig so looks like i'll be scoring in Fl Studio :P so finding this video really useful! Thanks for all your videos i always had a interest in making fantasy music, i can have more freedom with melodies, using real instruments and not force to use synths etc making electronic music D:
