Love the sound 👌 you cant beat the noise a brushed motor makes. I had the same issue with the E-clips, there little fighters 😂 looks sweet in that colour, i’ll see you sunday with my JJ. Atleast if i break it i know who will have spares 😂
That buggy looks fantastic, and with the 15-turn motor it goes pretty well too! It is quite expensive for what it is, but I suppose it's a limited edition kit. Awesome stuff!!
Very cool Andy! Glad you were able to get one and it runs really well! I skipped this one and will probably skip the other one coming out just because I did not want to pay the premium for them being limited editions. I also did not want to get disappointed in trying to score one and not being able to. I will just stick with the re-re kits for now. I wish they would go ahead and start doing some more of the lower end kits like the Raider, Rocky and other stuff too but no lunch on those yet!
It might need an adjustment but I set it to the manual’s setting and then slightly tighter but it’s not loose , also it’s brushed so has a distinct sound as well. Cheers
Really nice job Andy! I’m enjoying seeing all the re releases. This one was great, a bit too pricey for me but it’s still a great looking machine. Keep up the great content
I’m really sorry no there isn’t as I sadly had to sell the buggy on (gutted) my mate Richard at RLrc has been racing his and it goes very well although the original kit diff gear seemed to strip easily. Having said that people are racing them :)
Great looking buggy - I love your touch to it. I’m having fun with mine however, I need a bit more kick. You mentioned you’re running a 15T, but which make is it, please?
Cool car, I'm pretty sure Associated will re-release one of their RC10's again at some point in the near future. Looks like Schumacher will re-release the Cat 2000 as well at some point. I had one of these when they came out, it was one of the most dominant cars at tracks all around the UK and the world at the time. I'm not a collector but I think I will get one of these for nostalgia
love the paint, i did mine in the box art basic white, been thinking of doing a second body in something more flashy, swapped out the diff for a newer all metal oil filled gear diff because if it gets run i dont want to tear up the ball diff with modified or brushless motors and so far have not even bound the radio, i think the diff was from the dirt master, iirc
Lovely build Andy a definite keeper this one 😊 great job be awesome to see some slo mo jumping shots or it out racing 😃😃 great job dude.. which transmitter do you use Andy ? Pete
Hi Philip cheers for the tip , I’m due for checking the diff as it’s done a bit of running now but it was all built per manual, it’s worth a check though as they can back off :) cheers for watching
Some people are moaning about fitting a modern shorty pack and the single velcro strap if you do run a 2S, but a few clever people are making an aftermarket retaining system as I comment here.
I'm going to do mine in the German flag colors coming in hot I think brushed is just as fast as brushless as long as you know what you're doing that is one long antenna I think is going to have differential issues Gavin has the same one and it sounds the same you hear how it whines when you're in the Grass that is a telltale sign that you're going to have to keep an eye on the differentials 9:33 am
Looks & sounds awesome - surprisingly quick on grass!!
Looks superb Andy! 😎 Mine arrives later today. Thanks for the head up on the build process - very useful. Cheers!
Great video. Thanks for sharing the build tips .
My pleasure :) I’m glad the video was of some use , cheers for watching
Love it, I used to love my Ultima in days of old. No slipper clutch back then so it was a wheelie machine unless well weighted at the front!
Really nice build of the Ultima, runs well and good turn of speed.
Colour is great the green pink flip flop is lovely.
Love the channel. content
Thank you so much for watching , glad you liked the colour . It was so nice to drive . Take care
I love the retro looking paint job Andy
Cheers Thad, i was experimenting a bit and trying to use some paint up ;)
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 well done my friend

Amazing job! Stunning build and lovely run.
Thank you 🙏 glad you like it, it’s a very nice bit of kit and it went really well
Wow man I thought for sure that was running a brushless setup in there the way it was moving! Fantastic job!!!!!!
I remember the originals in the pages of RC car action back in my childhood
It’s a really nice platform the Ultima , i can appreciate it more now having see. The JJ replica close up
Looks great Andy. The Ultima is a fantastic RC and this edition is fully loaded and super cool 😎
You did an awesome job keep up the good work my friend and I'll keep watching
Cheers Phil much appreciated and thanks for the support, glad you liked the finished model
Top build looks awsome
Cheers Paul much appreciated, ya for watching
Love the color scheme. Looking good
Thank you 🙏 it was ps54 Tamiya cobalt green and ps47 iridescent pink/gold , cheers for watching
That colour looks great with this wheels and decals. A proper looker. You can see it looks really nippy and responsive.
Thanks Damien , it’s definitely one of my favourites to use colour wise and it definitely does drive nicely I’d recommend one

Awesome Andy 😊 seems to run like a dream
Cheers Jonas , it really does, love it !
That looks like it’s lovely to drive
Hi Martin, it really does drive nicely , pleasantly surprised with it, if it had the right tyres fitted it would have been pretty epic;) cheers
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 I’m hoping to get up to Blackpool on Sunday to see the racing
Looks great nice colour choice Andy and goes well ...nice video 😎👌🔥🔥🔥
Thanks 😊,the colour has seemed really popular with viewers. It drives so nicely as well , love it!
Does the slipper need tightening? Maybe it's the noise the buggy makes
It might need an adjustment but I set it to the manual’s setting and then slightly tighter but it’s not loose , also it’s brushed so has a distinct sound as well. Cheers
Great looking car, paint scheme suits it aswell
Cheers Tony :) glad you like the paint colour as I was unsure at first

I'm no buggy expert pal.....but, I know what I like and ...I like this 👍👍
Andy, any updates on the JJ yet? How did you get on racing it, and have you done anything else to it yet? Would love to see a follow up video.
I’m really sorry no there isn’t as I sadly had to sell the buggy on (gutted) my mate Richard at RLrc has been racing his and it goes very well although the original kit diff gear seemed to strip easily. Having said that people are racing them :)
Very nice
Thank you 🙏
Great car and video as always; but surely it’s the shoes that steal the show! They are magnificent brothel creepers… 😊
Cheers, the shoes are pretty cool 😎 😆, I do love a good pair of creepers. Glad you like the buggy , I’m rather pleased with it so far
Awesome colour, great to see non box art 👍
Thank you, I didn’t want to do white but also not completely stray away from the look and feel of the buggy. Cheers
Great looking buggy - I love your touch to it. I’m having fun with mine however, I need a bit more kick. You mentioned you’re running a 15T, but which make is it, please?
Its.got racing pedigree. When you look at how it handles in the 87 race it just handles really well
It’s a really nice driving buggy , really enjoyed the build as well, good bit of kit

Cool buggy but that spoiler bugs me with its super large side fins. Are they supposed to be cut back?
Cheers for the comment, you don’t have to put the big side plates on the wing but that’s what the original race car had, so I thought I’d use them
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 That’s good to know, thanks for that.
Lovely build Andy a definite keeper this one 😊 great job be awesome to see some slo mo jumping shots or it out racing 😃😃 great job dude.. which transmitter do you use Andy ? Pete
I think the slipper clutch needs to be tightened
I set the slipper clutch to the manuals instructions and then I tightened it a bit more, I’ll see how it goes but it’s easy enough to alter :) cheers
Very nice my friend you always surprise me.
Now you just need the Jj 87 replica 👍
Did a search couldn’t find the kit anywhere, maybe because I’m in USA
I don’t think there in the USA to buy just yet, hopefully available soon though
There is no way you did a simple search. Don’t know how you missed a website like amain hobbies . Always check them
How did you get this buggy so fast 10:57
Not sure really it just really shifted , it had a 15t brushed motor in , 1080 hobbywing esc installed and it’s in the stock gearing :)
Hi Andy, when my Cougar was slipping like that it turned to be the ball diff was slightly loose. Might help you.
Hi Philip cheers for the tip , I’m due for checking the diff as it’s done a bit of running now but it was all built per manual, it’s worth a check though as they can back off :) cheers for watching

Aye there’s always some on hand to help with a 3D printer , no problem for me as I don’t use shorty packs ;) cheers for commenting
