  • A review of Wearingeul's new Call of the Cthulhu ink, inspired the H. D. Lovecraft novel by the same name. It’s a teal ink with good shading and some purplish-black sheen. The ink is exclusive to Goldspot pens, and was also featured in my recent review of the Opus 88 Twilight Sonata pen.
Shout-Out to Goldspot Pens for sending this ink and the Opus 88 Twilight Sonata for review here on the channel.
You can find the ink here: tinyurl.com/4a...
You can find the Opus 88 review here: • Hitting All the Right ...
    THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!

It's kinda nice that you added copy paper and composition book paper into the test. That's basically the only stuff I use (except for drawings sometimes.)

I use the Walmart & Vietnamese papers more than most others day to day. 👍

I appreciate your review, James, for your attention to the interaction of the ink with different papers, as well as for your demonstration of its properties -- and the bottle configuration! I'm not much given to teal; but you present Wearingeul in a very good light. Thanks, and blessings!

Usually I'm not a hype-driven person but this ink looks awesome in all the pictures I've seen so far. Apparently it's very similar to Diamine Seasons Greetings which has a heavy and nice sheen, I'll have to try it. Greetings James.

It's a very green teal, I keep thinking Monteverde California Teal minus the sheen. I have so many teals Idk if I can justify yet. I also find some of Wearingeuls seem dry to me, or in particular pens.

It looks maybe a bit greener with a bit less sheen than Wearingeul's "For Whom The Bell Tolls", would you agree?

I don't have the other ink, but looking at samples online, I'd think you're right.

I am wondering how close this is to Robert Oster River of Fire

I think I used up my sample of River of Fire, or I'd check.

Hi thank you for the video! It was great. I would like to get the Ayush pen journal! Would make keeping track so easy. Do you know where I can find it? Thanks again

I'm not sure at the moment. Here is their website. I don't see it in their current stock, but I can't hurt to ask them if they still sell it.

Makes me wish I liked teal ink. I’m the kind of idiot they can sell ink to just by putting flat black ink in fancy bottles and then pasting labels with names of historical figures, characters, books, animals, events, etc that I like. I think wearingeul has got my number, so I have to hide my eyes. I pd $7.29 for a bag of potato chips today and realized I am going to have to find out how to make ink at home if I want to continue this hobby. 🤯

I wouldn't mind learning ink-making myself. I just got back from the store and saw $7 (nothing fancy) boxes of cereal. When the bacon is cheaper than the bran cereal, something's up. 🤔

Sigh, too bad this ink did not have a bit of water resistance. Washes away too easy for my liking.
