Sat in a slow moving traffic jam on the M4 yesterday. The number of motorists using mobile phones was disgusting if not unexpected
It's funny, because if the phone is on the lap, just from the initial evidence, police may not doing anything about it as the it was not clear that he was holding his phone. But then as he put it away, he was in fact holding a phone with screen on. now that's solid evidence
I think the phone being on the lap shouldn't make a diffence. Like having a dog on your lap or a book. It's all a distraction.
On his lap, in his hand, it’s open at an app and the screen lit up. So being used.
@@lindaj5492 yes, but police wants solid proofs before proceeding with citizen submitted evidence. They may or may not based on that alone, but in my experience 99% of the time they dont.
I'm not sure this one led to any action TBH. There has to be evidence of a phone being held in use.
Honestly mate, your going to stress out the wrong guy. You should just become an officer instead of trying to be some vigilante
Exactly!!
Van driver come down the road past Me looking down at his phone while driving one hand, not even looking at the road, I dont know how they do it.
Addiction is what it is.
Tell them off I would and have done even crossing the road on foot and this one lass was on her phone comes out of nowhere on the path and smashes into me then doesn’t even apologise so I called her an idiot
Multitasking. Some can and some can't. 😂
@@itsonlyme9938 Or He is cocky and selfish?
@@Zerpentsa6598 ever seen that footage of the lorry driver rear ending a family car full of wife and kids while browsing his iTunes, while dad is watching from the second family car? Dad and lorry driver lived.
Should be 6 points just for the autotuned crap he's got on full blast.
Dreadful music? Not music just trash!
@@spacerockerlightyears You might like to look up the word subjectivity.
Listening to any music blasting out of a car is unpleasant.
You're the same as all the generations of middle aged people before you. Complaining about ravers in 1988, punks in 1977, hippies in 1966 and Mods in 1958 (the original ones). Yep your just old.
@@octaviussludberry9016 not subjective when it comes to trash music...
On another note - lovely burble on the Aston.
Yup.
I saw an all leccy Porsche a couple of days back, & you know how some EVs play a noise? Subdued but a nice purring growl; I was very impressed tbh
shame about the illegal plate - should be OO 4585.
@@stevestrange965 🙄
@@paulcollyer801 an interesting comment. However, I can’t get excited about EV’s. I drove my Bentley across France to the Le Mans 24hr and accessing the infrastructure to complete the exact journey in an EV would have been painful. I take your point that EV Porsches shift like 💩 off a shovel.
@@lindsayrogers6690, oh, trust me! I’m no fan of EVs; had one recently as a courtesy car for several weeks and they didn’t supply a home charger. The additional tax on my time has been horrific due to my busy medium mileage schedule. Will prolly be having it back as the repair on My ICE car has failed in less than 120miles. Colour me UNIMPRESSED. I’m losing time like Twitter lost value after E M bought it

Awwh, his shy.. .

Why do people CHOOSE to drive , in London? (Yes, I know people are going through London to other places and that’s fine.’)
Extreme reaction?
Poor lad, sad. But he knew the rules......
Interesting commentary. Good going!
Another one for your club, however I fear he is not going to like it. I'm pleased for you that you kept clear away from him.
Big "G" caught by a guy on a bicycle
There was also a blonde blubber running a red light in 02:19
Why don't the Met tell you whether they're prosecuting any more?
I think they're overworked and don't have the resources. I do still get some results, phew.
@@CyclingMikey I just hope they are actually prosecuting, would be good to know for sure though.
Nothing to do with the phone he voted tory😅
A few have been trying to hide, lately, I've noticed.
People are clearly more aware of you, and aware that they are breaking the law.
Stop singling out posh people why don’t you try telling people in places like Southwark or Dagenham
Posh😂😂😂😂
Again, no information!
A simple catch, but take this as a well-intended recommendation from a master of sarky comments (and having to have meetings without biscuits as a consequence): I'd be wary about the 'Are you parked up?' quip.
Worry when said meeting is with 2nd or 3rd line management & no seat….
*whistles tunelessly*
@@paulcollyer801 Mine usually were with the head teacher. I wouldn't have taken a biscuit if they'd been offered - some of the poison might have seeped into them. Neither of us was a fan of the other.
@@PedroConejo1939 had one with a Maj…. That wasn’t pleasant.
Arrgh I've been caught by Cycling Mikey
Thank you for keeping us just that little bit safer Mikey. 👍
Just wondering if the other cyclist is a plumber?
The guilty start - he knew that he was breaking the law!
Defective rear brake light too: wouldn't pass an MoT. Therefore, nominally, not roadworthy
A bulb can blow at anytime so silly observation had to change one myself it's phone driving that's the issue
@@adriansweet3359 police can pull you over, give you a “vehicle defect rectification notice” and you have two weeks to fix. Brake lights are the ones which fail because they are turned on and off the most, and it is that which wears out incandescent bulbs. Also it’s. It really hard to check even if you wanted to
But if someone in a car with a broken brake light doesn’t think a cyclist should be “in the middle of the road” -they’re the one who nominally shouldn’t be there.
@@SteveLoughran, ironically, if you’re a careful, observant driver that plans ahead, brake lights last a good 8yrs. Not even my indicators have blown yet.
Clutch has gone but that’s another story altogether, & ongoing… 😡
@paulcollyer801 think my last brake light bulb was about£3 and ten minutes to fit it so well done for saving money by not over doing braking
@@paulcollyer801 yeah, clutches. Too much crawling in traffic. Our last ICE car was automatic and had a stop/start motor so we were better off sitting briefly rather than trying to crawl along. This worked great until Covid and the (extra expensive) battery died from months of unuse during the lockdowns
Defo ain't got a licence
Wants to be able to nominate someone else.
Very odd. Why would anyone do that? Perhaps exceedingly privacy conscious. However there are other less benign explanations such as stolen vehicle, wanted indiidual, no license / insurance etc and was planning on pretending to be someone who did if stopped, knows who you are / that he would end up on RUclips driving his girlfriend's/boyfriend's car and didn't want his significant other to see the video? The mind boggles. Glad you didn't overtake him. Not only might he have done something rash he might have continued driving but while sticking his head in the back of the vehicle. Nowt so queer as folk! Very bizarre.
You could have smugly told him that that would be “six points meht”! 😂
You was right to be cautious, IMO, exactly from his response.
0:11 - *Oh, the Distraction* . . . . . . stare at the 'Fat Bottomed Girl' in tight look-at-me trousers or Daniel Craig in the 'Aston Martin' popping into the sandwich shop for a Sarnie
Its an eternal dilemma for all Red-Blooded men !
Years ago, my (now late) fiancée was driving us into Portsmouth, & she accused me of looking at the scantily clad girls;
“Burger bar, kebab shop, chip shop, I’m hungry!”
Choose your moments for looking fellers. Have a viable reason. (For me it was true, but…)

@@bestbehave 😂😂 I think we need to check your hard drive 🤔
1:46 “Always a bit worrying when someone reacts like that”. Well, how is one supposed to react to being spied on? 🤷♂️
This isn't spying - it's open, above board and completely in public. The reaction is to me one of a very guilty conscience.
Why do people always use words they don't understand like spy or snitch? Do you actually know what a spy is? No you don't. You see someone catching someone else doing something dangerous and immediately side with that person purely because you don't like that they got caught doing it and more than likely because you do it yourself. Give your head a wobble, do some research into how concentration works and shut up.
Spied on?? He’s in public in broad facking daylight you complete turnip 😂
At 00:25 that was defo a red light.
That's not a stop line, it's the edging of the keep clear box. The signal on the right is a repeater
@@burdenstephen, gone in in slowmo, keep clear box stops a few metres back from pedestrian crossing stop line, so Was a red light jump. The complexity of the junction & necessity for good obs make it kind of excusable, an imho, the timing means that it wouldn’t be prosecuted even if in a car.
@@paulcollyer801 amver lights are three seconds on duration. Count three from the amber and kaboom
@@paulcollyer801 No, it's not a solid line so it's not a stop line. Also look to the left, there's no traffic light. The light on the right is a repeater and you don't have to stop.
