Okay so I will state here I was neutral going into this. When I first watched it I honestly didn't see anything wrong with anything the cyclist did, or the driver did. It's only watching it the second time I made my opinion. The cyclist could have stayed left and not overtaken the bus and didn't help the situation by deliberately looking at the driver when they came side-by-side shortly afterwards. The driver did over-react and was aggressive over a relatively silly incident... oh and he parked on a double-red line afterwards too. But like he said, he "didn't give a fuck". A 3 months curfew is excessive though, I thought. Just my opinion.
I’m 100 % with you . The cyclist could of stayed left and not try and be confrontational by looking at the driver - we all know what that means in traffic- the driver was a bit of a ***** as well
I'll be honest, when I watched this the first time, I thought straight away that you appeared to be off to the right too much to let any vehicles go by. Then when you were behind the bus after that, slowly trailing behind, I can see why someone in a vehicle behind you would be p'd off at that stage. Seeing as you have a channel devoted to this stuff too, I wouldn't be surprised if you did that deliberately. I'm not saying he was right either, but I can see why this escalated the way it did.
He was definitely not too far off to the right. First, he had to overtake a parked car on the left AND avoid the door zone (just in case a driver opens its doors) and ALMOST IMMEDIATELY after overtaking the parked car, the bus pulled left towards a stop. So once again there's no practical reason to move in closer to the curb, the car gets impatient and overtakes the cyclist just as the cyclist is about to overtake the bus.
@@trainradioz1303 Fair comment. I didn't spot the car. I still feel before all of that, at the traffic lights and over the crossing, the cyclist had ample room to let cars by though. But, I'm not a cyclist and do not have the experience to comment on why he didn't do that. This is why the driver thought he was being a jerk though, a tiny little bike taking up all that space. The driver was impatient of course as there was ample room after the bus all the way up the road. I'd have been too busy concentrating on keeping everyone safe to get wound up like that and would have waited for space to open up. I guess as a cyclist you need to use up more road space than it looks like you need for your own safety? Most of the time it looks like cyclists have no awareness of what's going on around them. I often think humans weren't designed to ride bikes on roads due to really dangerous moves I see. But maybe the same could be said for drivers looking out for bikes. It's an ugly mix.
When will motorists understand that cyclists never take up the middle of the road just to piss them off. Its to keep them safe from the speeding tons of metal all around them. Also the parked car doors thing is real. Like motorists they don't want to be sliced in half by a car door opening.
What surprises me is the lightness of the sentence the court gave him. For the threatening behavior, threat a and assault alone, grabbing the camera, he should just about now be looking to get out of prison. Then a driving ban and having to retake the Test to get his license back once out of jail.
I could never be on the side of someone who blows their top over something so trivial and then lets loose a stream of threats and swear words. If that driver can’t cope with minor mistakes by other road users without flying into a rage, then he shouldn’t be driving a car.

I know cyclists have the right to use the road, but they are slower than cars. It would be sensible to allow cars , buses etc. to pass and not hinder them because they are faster. Many cyclists too, use pavemnets to get around obstacles and jump red lights. Cyclists then argue they have an equal right to the road and then break rules that they think don't apply to them. If you do point out their problems the cyclist then says ' you are being filmed'. I'm with the bald man. I thought he was rather cute.
He didn't do anything wrong . He was already in front of the car and went to overtake the bus . The driver then clearly ignored the cyclist who had priority and nearly hit him with the car .

This why i believe cyclists should be required to apply for a licence and then to get said licence, they must learn the Highway code. As a cyclist, you are classed as a vehicle and as such, you have the same rights as nay other road user. Pavements are use for pedestrians and roads are for vehicles. Believe it or not, the cyclist was following self preservation here. Yielding is dangerous but not only to you, it is also to other road users. @@seekthetruthandbuymytactic620 yup, plus if you yield you may end up having to cycle past parked cars on the inside, which increases the chances of getting doored.
I find it hard to sympathise with cyclists sometimes. The worst of the lot when it comes to following the Highway Code. A lot, uninsured, on the moral high ground because of zero omissions. Now with the age of cameras, this. If it's not already up, someone's going to do a channel of cyclists doing stupid cyclist things from car dash cams. Shame though, because unlike this man with his full reg on show, bike has nothing. Here's the compromise: 1) Road competency tests for all cyclists using bikes for commute or work from 16yrs old. 2) High visibility outfits, mirrors, lights, signals and helmets with identifying registration visible, minimum 3rd party insurance, all mandatory. (No more black lycra on black bike with dirt obscured reflectors at 10pm...) 3) Pleasure rides banned or restricted in major commuter routes. 4) Licence points systems like driver licence. So penalties can be issued and cyclists sent for more mandatory training when needed. In return, hopefully government puts major investments to create safer roads designed with cycling as integral for its use.

What a thourghly nasty piece of entitled work. The pies must have rotted his brain. Poor cycylist, not all drivers are like him bud.
The cyclist could of stayed left and not try and be confrontational by looking at the driver - we all know what that means in traffic- the driver was a bit of a ***** as well
What a massive pair of drama queens
What camera is this. How long recording and can i mount it to helmet
When will motorists understand that cyclists never take up the middle of the road just to piss them off. Its to keep them safe from the speeding tons of metal all around them. Also the parked car doors thing is real. Like motorists they don't want to be sliced in half by a car door opening.

Can't see what the cyclist did wrong tbh.

You have to get back into lane at some point, unless you gonna sit there all day?
@@seekthetruthandbuymytactic620 yup, plus if you yield you may end up having to cycle past parked cars on the inside, which increases the chances of getting doored.
You cut out something in the video between 4:47-4:49 (display time) !
That part is what got this man angry. You foul for this one!!!
Here's the compromise:
1) Road competency tests for all cyclists using bikes for commute or work from 16yrs old.
2) High visibility outfits, mirrors, lights, signals and helmets with identifying registration visible, minimum 3rd party insurance, all mandatory. (No more black lycra on black bike with dirt obscured reflectors at 10pm...)
3) Pleasure rides banned or restricted in major commuter routes.
4) Licence points systems like driver licence. So penalties can be issued and cyclists sent for more mandatory training when needed.
In return, hopefully government puts major investments to create safer roads designed with cycling as integral for its use.
