    This is nothing new old truckers used to pinch off the return line to accomplish this. However these safety devices are put in place for a reason.

  • @achej7022
    @achej7022 4 года назад +2

    @everythingdiesel just so you are aware bro, they put these in for a reason. When you block them off like that you are still going to get fuel pressure spikes and instead of blowing off like it’s supposed to it’s going to put pressure on your injector bodies and could crack those. Way more expensive to replace then that plug, and the video from CP you link isn’t exactly accurate. They are designed to crack off multiple times.

    • @EVERYTHANGDIESEL
      @EVERYTHANGDIESEL  4 года назад +1

      i know what ur saying man, so from my research and experince ( since i've had this in for over a year) it seems if your not running excessive line pressure such as 36k or higher you should be fine without the relief valve. i belive once injectors start to get super old and u push massive fuel pressure is when you into blowing a injector tip or cracking the cup. this is from my research. but i im aware of what your talking about.

On the original you had on there before you replaced it with the current gold one, had a gadget of some sort screwed on top of it along with a gold/maybe brass bar that went along the front of the manifold. Valve, collapsed fuel lines, weak injector pump, clogged fuel filter. Any number of these things. My 0087 code was from weak/soft fuel lines and fprv being weak. Replaced them and all is well now.

      System replaced after my CP3 pump grenaded sending metal thru system and at the same time I decided to get my truck tuned. Well the mechanic that replaced it didn’t understand the system. So every time I hauled my camper it would cut out and the P0087 code come on...He replaced the relief valve and and never even entertained a plug. Same problem kept happening. • @EVERYTHANGDIESEL
      @EVERYTHANGDIESEL  6 лет назад

      Big T normal rail pressure tops off at 27k. It can cause premature failure and loss of rail pressure. With the plug delete it will allow your fuel to continue to run at high rpms and it's not bad for your truck it's actually good because whenever you get up on your engine and it relieves your rail pressure you starve your injections and that when it sounds like your truck want more fuel but doesn't have it. It's coming from that stock rail plug.
