Mirpur massacare as stated reminds us of BHAIRAB PUUL masaccare in East Pakistan where in a single day an entire train of about 10000 Bengalee Hindu men, women & children were killed over the bridge on river Bhairab. There are numerous killing stories of Bengalee Hindus who were killed and that was amplified in 1971 many times over.
My Paternal & Maternal Parents were uprooted from Rawalpindi.My Maternal Family is the Origin of Nirankari Panth of Rawalpindi.Our Ancestral Gurdwara,"Nirankari Darbar" is today a delipidated Girls School.It pains my Heart when I think of Bandit Nehru & MK G andu who was a curse on our Land.Still the foolish & Greedy (Muftkhor) People Vote for Coingres,like in Himachal & Kejriwal in Delhi.....I feel very angry when I think of Pakistan and I wish I could do something about it...this wrong commited on us...
We will my friend, those people deserve nothing except hell on earth. The atrocities they have committed on our people will happen on them. I believe in karma and definitely it'll do it's work :)

One fact that's rarely mentioned is a day before the fall of Mirpur.
I was in Mirpur at that time. Wazir Wazarat Rao Rattan Singh left in the early morning with the State forces leaving the civilian population at the mercy of invading Kabiali raiders.
An orderly evacuation of civilian population in my opinion was possible.
Another fact that's never mentioned is about accession. Had Maharaja acceded to India on or before 15 August 1947 then even first Indo-Pak war might not have pappened.
I will not mention here about the ordeals we suffered - killings, raps, mass suicides by the women, killing of their own women to prevent their capture from the invaders and locals.
Readers may read, Forgotten Atrocities: Memoirs of a Survivor of the 1947 Partition of India by Bal. K. Gupta my friend. I and many others who underwent this and much more horrible things.
It is My grandfather's narration.
Mirpur Rajput Raja converted during Babur's time, which started the islamization of the area. This traitor is revered as a Sufi saint at whose shrine even Hindus used to go and pray for children. Just like they go to Ajmer. Who can save these fools?

Col Raina sir is bang on when he says there is not even an inch of Kashmir with Pak. Kashmir is bound by mighty Shamshabari Ridge in North . Across Shamshabari there are no Kashmiris.
Sir I am a descendant of a refugee from Mirpur. My grandfather was Avery prosperous person of Mirpur. My father was in his 30s when he escaped in a truck to Poonch and then on to Delhi and finally settled in Dehradun. He would talk about his time pre partition and his struggle for settling down in India.

Please also hear about the other side of the massacres. I have heard frim my elders, about the thousands of muslims who got massacred on their way to pakistan, i have family members who lost ENTIRE families, were massacred, and raped. Their is always two sides to every story
Who started it ? Remember despite that Jammu still has 30 per Muslim population while No hindus left in Pakistani occupied Jammu.

There are many stories, I agree with your words. We are Rajputs of Rajouri. Now we are settled in Mirpur. What happened was completely wrong. Jammu and Kashmir was a Muslim majority area. Wrong decisions, due to which thousands of people will be killed and thousands will be homeless, due to which even today hatred is found between the two.

This is wrong information. One lakh Muslims were never massacred in Jammu. The reality is that Jihadis committed genocide of Hindus during partition of India in 1947. Shameful and outrageous.

It was a narrative set to hide the mirpur massacre, even my grandfather who was a witness of mirpur massacre never told us about anything like jammu massacre.
Hardly 05 thousands muslims died due to revenge motivation after dead bodies of Hindus and Sikhs were sent by Pakistan from Sialkot into Jammu. Even a Sialkot muslim who migrated from Jammu confirmed that first start was from Sialkot
But in Mirpur of Jammu Province in kotli bhimber poonch bagh sudhanoti of Jammu Province Hindus and Sikhs were cleansed 100%
Whoever you're Mr or Miss, Mirpur is also part of Jammu Province Rajouri also part of Jammu Province
East Punjab in 1946-47 was muslim majority.......now not more then 1% muslims r there. muslims lost more lives and property during partition riots. whats wrong ?they started the fire so they burned more.
