The movement of the right hand on the keys is different and while the melodic structure is moving in a similar direction, both songs have a very very different feel to them. I like you, am not a fan of unoriginality, however I don't feel that this deserves the "hate" you described. Having said that, music is subjective and if you hate this, then that is your choice, I would ask that if you say something is the same.. That you check your facts first, not the same, similar, yes, but not the same. All the best..
