Would you happen to know with my 2011 X5 with the 3.0 diesel engine that now it's an off-road vehicle. Will this be able to recode the engine? If I removing the EGR valve and a DPF? If this one would not do it do you happen to know which one I could get that would allow me to? Either way I plan on buying one of these scanners just to keep in the car. I really enjoyed your video. I think you provided more information than anyone else did reviewing this product.
For the money it's hard to beat the Launch, especially if you don't care about the extra features. But it's hard to go back once you've tried the otofix. For me, I would still pay the extra for the otofix. However, if I were using it as needed (less than 6 times a year), then I would save money and go with the Launch.
Very confusing. It is not called "x431 Elite 2.0 Pro" on the box. It is called "Creader Elite V2.0" It does not say x431, 2024 or Pro anywhere on the box, the user manual or the unit itself. Even more confusing is the fact that it is not mentioned in the Launch web site.
Not the one I got. The last thing it is is a scam. Did u upgrade first and update the firmware? I have an X5 M sport i bled the brakes with it, did an adaptation for my transfer case, set my idle fixed my comfort access among other things. Mine is a Launch C reader Elite. Its phenomenal it does all the stuff my buddy's 22 hundred dollar scan tool. I paid 169$ for mine. And mine is fast too. I love it. And i have nothing to do with that company nor did they pay me in anyway. Buy it don't buy I don't care but it works.
Are the higher priced $600 scan tools as capable as the X431 in regards to BMW's? I like what this scanner can do for the BMW's, but since I own other brands of cars as well I'd like to look into "multi brand" scanners?
This thing is a scam! I bought one of these to reset the battery on my e90 335i the thing does nothing but basic codes unless you buy each additional feature for 70$ each. You cant reset anything...got a return label coming and going with something else.. buyer beware
@CyberLabyrinth I'm grabbing a mhd tuner for now just so I can register my battery and a few others and then decide if I wanna buy the licence and tunes at a later point
Great video: ordered the tool and a F22 hoodie!
Thank you! 🤜🤛 I actually need to get another hoodie myself. Lol
What is the difference between x431 Elite 2.0 and x431elite 2.0 FCG
Can that scan tool read the transmission temperature
can it communicate to peripherals (modules connected to K BUS). Or CAN BUS E 46.
Can this short circuit counter reset on frm? Like the tool 32?
There’s one for BMW, Audi & VW same price I believe, but is it better?Willing to spend more for a better unit..
Then get the universal unit. Launch 919, Autel, Xtool, Otofix or similar in about 300 + - pricerange.

How does this compare to the Otofix? Smog due in 11 months, no catless DP though

Can i delite adblue sistem falier with this scaner?
Can you download the manual in English for it?
Hey Frits, do you need a subscription for this unit? Can you reset the steering angle sensor with this? Sorry no time stamps in the video
Can this tool remove elv lock

Make sure you are looking at the one for BMW. There are a lot of variations on the 431 scanner. Some are over 1000$ 😮

I agree I bought it for my Nissan and it doesn’t have a Nissan selection and can’t auto detect my vin.
Thanks for your post. I was considering buying one. I'll keep looking.

Otofix covers all vehicles, and makes more sense, if you change your car, you will have to upgrade at a costs over 100 dollars.
Thks for a video Bro. I have a problem compensation EWS - DME on E65 series, and i think this scan can resolve my problem.
