In episode 8, they show you a side-to-side comparison of the gym before the murder, after the murder, and during cleanup. My most logical guess is the murder failed because the wire broke. I don't think Nico simply pressed the wire against Ace's neck. The fan fell off, AND you see wire taped to one of the fan blades. Because it was revealed in Episode 7 that Nico borrowed turpentiine from Rose, he probably used that to knock Ace unconcious, and probably followed up by wrapping wire around his neck, hooking one end to an anchor (probably the weight stand), and the other end to a pulley, aka the fan. Then, the wire starts to tighten like a boa constrictor around the neck. As for Arei, the rope was probably strong enough to effectively break her neck and kill her before it broke (if it did). This contraption would also explain the scuff marks in the playground, if Arei's wrists were bounded, she couldn't use her arms to free herself, her only 'effective' (not really) method of defense is her legs, her only limbs that she could move. We now know it doesn't take place at 7:30 PM with some combined testimonies; Ace confrims Arei and David were together at 7:30 PM yesterday, and from David's behavior during the Trial day, he seemed to be more protective around keeping his secret safe, meaning Arei brought up the conversation to David, (furthermore, she tried to do tihs in Episode 5, but Teruko and Eden unintentionally interrupted her) meaning that she was actively searching for him, Arei wasn't lured. This means that Arei had to have found a note saying to come to the playground at 7:30 before nighttime, but after her meeting with David. This means Eden, Hu, Charles, Whit, Teruko, Veronika, Arturo, and J are safe, as it would be impossible for any of them to have written a note and somehow slip it to Arei during that time. There's also another condition; which is the fact that the Killer would be aware of Arei looking up to Eden, and know that Eden is an early waker. This means that the Killer probably considered the fact Arei knew that Eden getting up before 7:30 was reasonable. Something else I would like to add your your thoughts. The first episode for chapter 2, Eden had woken up around 7 to 7:30 (if that’s what we assume it’s around 7:30) Levi had came into the kitchen with Eden and they both starting discussing about the killing game and then Levi was talking about his “mother”, “father”, and “my brother’s” were in his family. Levi mentioned that Levi could cook for himself so he could’ve made the ball with their clothes to hide evidence which I think could be bring up. So we can assume that Levi took note of this that Eden wakes up around this time but it could also be a coincidence. Other thing I wanted to add is that Levi could’ve been in the laundry room when Arturo, Eden, and Arei were in the nurse’s office. I think he knew that Arei was gonna be vulnerable because in episode 4 or 5 (I can’t remember exactly) when Arei, Eden, David, and Terako (I swear I heard footsteps to the gym but now I can’t hear it anymore so you can take my thoughts with a grain of salt) that I assume could’ve been Levi and heard Arei’s secret and heard she wanted to changed and then heard the fight with Eden and Arurto (sorry if I can’t spell anyone’s names) and then slide the note in Eden’s room (or whatever the note was founded) and tried to lure Eden to the body and try to frame Eden for the murder and get away with it. I don’t think Whit committed the body because if he did it to keep his secret why would he just reveal it? I think Levi is some type of hitman and his family found out and disowned him. He could’ve possibly killed someone in the family (like his sister or one of the brothers) but I don’t think that’s the truth. I think he killed Mia (but that’s my opinion of course) and that’s what I think about Levi. One more thing. I think the reason why he would use other things to hang Arei’s neck my was because he had gotten injured in the 2 episode in chapter 1 (I think someone can fact check it for me) and he said that his arm was still injured and he used the big rubber band to help strengthen his shoulder. But this is just my thoughts. I’m sure I’m missing something’s but I wanted to give my thoughts on something like this before the next episode gets uploaded soon. Anyway take my idea’s and thoughts with a grain of salt. So yeah
Holy fucking shit, you're a genius. Just to be sure, was the culprit (not saying the name to not spoiler anyone) your prime suspect already? Or you were suspecting someone else with that train of thought?

I'm looking at either Hu or Rose. Rose finding that note was really suspicious, plus her moment after learning Nico swiped her weapon is wierd. Mainly, I think what puts her on the board is the carousel. I think it was used to hoist Arei on the swing set. To use something like that suggests the killer is of average or low strength. There's also the tape on the carousel, accentuating the point that someone low in strength is responsible, which can be said of Rose, given her attempt at a pull up.
Seeing after the trial ended, those are some GREAT theories, you discovered a lot of things out, well done. Unfortunately none of the major theories pointed to the real culprit, but I think that's a merit to the development team who handled the trial very well
thank you caiovinicius5204. i guess i probably couldve considered the possibility that the fish were there tho frame nico and the alibi was just a byproduct of that. currently going through a wonderful phase of "What if i never made a theory ever again" but i appreciate the support
Tbh bc of the “all that glitters” title I just feel like it’s nico or hu..while whit is fairly likely I just feel like his character hasn’t been explored enough yet for him to die? Also it’s so mean of me but I just REALLLLY feel like hu was involved somehow. Literally no evidence I just feel like she was! And sorry if I said a point you went over in the vid I was typing while watching :’) Edit: I really hope it’s not Eden or Levi! They are my top two and I will die. Arturo is possible and sort of boring, but I really wouldn’t mind if he died at all..and he could get a cool execution? It feels way too obvious though. It being whit is….something I don’t wanna think about…but probably definitely right. You’ve convinced me 😭
god do you know HOW happy i am that this video has convinced SOMEONE. no one listens to me when i speak the truth. anyway sorry i could be wrong though don't get me wrong. if it's not him then probably hu, j, or levi
@@dizzyierI get the feeling 😭 it’s so hard to get people to listen sometimes even when ur just super duper correct !! But yeah this has def got me thinking that you could be right and whit could be it-he’s def my number one choice now. I’m personally thinking if it isn’t him it could be hu-I wanna see if I agree about the J thing but I haven’t watched chapter 2 again since the last episode came out, and I kinda forget how she acted. And I choose to ignore any and all evidence against my silly lil Levi..delulu is the solulu!! I do know for sure tho that I don’t think the J and Arei switch happened? No evidence here it just feels highly unlikely for some reason, and going off of my hazy memory, J acted weird, yes, but it felt like simply seeing a side of her we haven’t seen before…? Ig the chapter title could hint to it, since oh hey, this thing isn’t what it seemed to be! That’s all I’ve got idk! I’m aware this is very pointless rambling but seeing other people make theories just makes me wanna theorize too lol. The title could refer to whit too, since oh hey…he seems real great and stuff and everyone loves him but OHH NOO he’s a murder man..
@@fireworksforme2 OHH NOO HES A MURDER MAN... i think the j/arei thing could be true and it definitely has grounds i just personally don't believe it. and whit is the only one who hasn't revealed his "true colors" yet (i don't think he'll be evil but like. yknow)
I think from a plot-writing standpoint, the key to solving whodunit has to lie in the last piece of prominent plot that hasn't been dealt with so far in the trial --- the Nico conducting murder incident. This incident is so jarringly prominent and so close to the murder that it makes no sense it serves only as something that would happen in later chapters, let alone a flashback comparison between the now-and-then gym was brought up specifically before the trial commenced. It is highly likely the missing friction tape on the pullup bar is to be addressed here. Two possibilities arise, and it comes down to whether or not the tape on the ground is the tape peeled off from the bar. If it is the culprit has to be either Eden or Ace for obvious reason, Eden virtually being the only candidate. But this would be a poor plot writing choice as to the justification of Eden being outlandishly hypocritical and the way the story would go i.e. descending Teruko into further madness. I am aware of the dialogue box blocking the missing tape scene but I'd like to think it is an art discrepancy since the one with tape has Ace on the ground and the one missing Ace stood up. And even if it is a hidden trick, it is not supposed to be observed only by the audience, because the in-game characters had to have an inconspicuous way(to the audience) to notice that to solve the puzzle, not the other way around(audience know but characters not). Also, the tape is very neatly wrapped, if is detached from the bar it would look a bit loose to make sense. So the way I see it, this incident first serves to remind the group the friction tape was already gone when Nico conducted his murder. Someone late at night, secretly but coincidentally prior to Nico, stole the tape and very likely was setting up his contraption during that time. In-game characters are gonna be aware of this during later trial. Then the question is, who do we know was active during that time? Teruko was about to fetch her spare clothes, Eden was about to help bring clothes to Teruko, Nico&Ace having their drama. So, who is the missing piece? LEVI. When Ace chased down to the dorm ranting, Levi was the only one who readily came out, suggesting others were asleep or resting. Thanks to the urgent nature of this incident no one at present bothered to ask each other why they were active. The plot conceals why Levi is active. I think this plotwise has to function as an indicator that Levi was the one actively doing something meaningful during this time, which could only be preparing his murder scheme. Levi is also the most likely person to have overheard Eden&Arei. At the beginning of chp2 Levi showed his emotionless nature and specifically said he ''wants to keep trying to become a good person like you Eden". Then plotwise it could easily be that he has been trying to follow Eden as much as he could to learn her behavioral pattern, thus secretly witnessing the scene. It all makes sense.
have you been tested for neurodivergency (joke) In all seriousness, Levi is definitely someone I think could be the culprit, from the unrevealed secret to suspicious actions. However, doesn't Levi come _out_ of his bedroom to help? While no one might question it in the moment, later someone might ask why Levi was out and about late. If Levi wanted to hide that he was out, he just wouldn't come out.
@@dizzyier No, you are misquoting me. I said, "Levi was the only one who readily came out"(of the room I mean). I never said this was like a Gundham case when he was in the corridor already. My point is this plot segment is too prominent and has to make sense in the trial. Both Levi being the only third party(why only he bothered to check?) in this incident and the missing grip tape are what I strongly assume to be dealt with from a plot writing standpoint because the dev has to leave a known small window both for the audience and the in-game characters to later realize that this incident or person's behavior is the key to the puzzle.
@@dizzyier Also, there may be some misunderstanding. I didn't mean the culprit stole the tape and was preparing whatever outside exactly when Ace drama was taking place, therefore having no way to return to their dorm. Since they must have stolen the tape prior to Nico's attempt, their exact time of preparation cannot be confirmed and they could have just finished their prep outside and gone back to dorm(timing could be liberal and as long as it is a bit earlier than Ace chasing down it would be fine) not ready to sleep or even having some other prep inside their room since the killing method is apparently very convoluted and possibly require multiple preparations. Oh, from that I could even further guess that maybe when Nico was fleeing back alone he saw Levi heading back to his dorm! Since Nico is passive to give his say and had been under a lot of pressure throughout the trial he might not feel obliged to mention this seemingly irrelevant observation until a nailing testimony is needed. That would be really cool.
From my view I’ve been hard set on the idea that it’s Hu Reasons: 1. She protected Nico who she’d been looking after, after he attacked ace 2. Her weapon is a wire matching the one used to attack ace. 3. The fallen fan was likely used to hang ace but the fan and wire broke due to the wire likely not being strong enough to hang Ace and the fan being unable to handle the weight of the body. 4. Hu likely knew all this and had convinced Nico or helped him in some way. 5. She then set herself onto the other troublemaker breaking the peace, arei. 6. I’m thinking she reused her plan on Arei since there was a lot of emphasis on the importance of Ace almost being murdered. I can’t remember all my points but idk these are some of my reasons why I think it’s Hu. :D
hrmmm. j and hu do have alibis but i dont think arei swap theory has been completely disproven? i dont know. with my luck this video is going to turn out to be horribly embarrassing
why do people overlook alibis? hu, eden, charles, whit, j, arturo, teruko and veronika all have alibis. it's definetly not david. so by process of elimination it leaves ace, nico, rose and levi. i honestly don't think it's nico or ace. so that leaves rose and levi, i think levi is definetly the culprit but it still might be a celeste situation 'cause when teruko went outside and saw rose, rose said "arei is reaally dead isn't she?" without even going inside.
In the kindest way possible have you watched the video I do like your celeste situation observation i didn't even realize that. Gotta go look at that. In any case it's releasing in one week let's go baby
@@dizzyier yeah i watched it but you said about all of the suspects for example whit, even though anyone who has an alibi can't be the culprit and the theory of the murder being at nighttime or in the morning is disproven, that's my reason for saying that and sorry if this sounded rude. also i just realized that arei is the one who had the secret "you're a murderer and you hold no remorse" which i think might be levi's secret considering that hu probaby has veronika's secret and xander has hu's but then veronika proably has min's but then i think david is lying that he has xander's secret and min is the one who actually has xander's secret and that he has teruko's so these are my assumptions whichi forgot to mention
wdym it's disproven both morning and night? they did say that in the series but i think you could easily store the fish somewhere else to commit it during the morning, and the note has AM/PM part ripped off david is probably lying about xander's secret. for now i think popular opinion is that levi is murderer, veronika is S/H, hu is hopeless child, teruko is killing game. which is honestly pretty likely. but i dont know. with my luck this video is horribly wrong and i'm going to be embarrassed for life
@@dizzyier dw you won't be embarrassed. Sometimes I can come up with the most ridiculous theories but I believe it's disproven since David was the last one to be in the relaxation room and looking at the situation how he doesn't know anything about the fish he probably didn't know they were there but knowing my luck it could probably some strawberry and grape tower crap.
I really don't want it to be anyone in the cast 💔💔 I love everyone (expect Levi.), I want to see more of everyone's characters.. (for clarification I like Levi's character I just saw his name and immediately started having a grudge against him for jokes) If it's Whit I'm gonna be so upset, although I feel like it'd be a little too obvious for it to be Whit, like everyone suspects him, I feel like there's gonna be some plot twist.. In my opinion, just purely based on the chapter name, Nico and David are immediately disqualified from being the culprits (Spoilers for episode 12 of chapter 2 obviously) and David was already proved to not be a suspect anymore, and the name "All that glitters" imply that the culprit is gonna be someone that's seemingly innocent being secretly not that innocent- and we all already know that Nico ATTEMPTED murder, so I'm pretty sure that just disqualifies him from being a suspect due to it not making sense for him to attempt murder again, and I don't think it'd be Levi either since he admitted his secret was the murder one, and I doubt that he has any motives to kill arei of all people. I have no idea if what I'm saying makes sense, but I feel like either Eden, Hu, or Whit are gonna be the culprit. I know I said it'd be too obvious for Whit to be the culprit, but it's still a possibility, Eden doesn't have any motives but there's still a chance that something hasn't been revealed, AND HU. I have no idea I haven't been paying attention haha, I'm just basing this off which seemingly innocent person hasn't been caught as "guilty" yet, and I think this will cause further distrust between the characters.. AGAIN this might not make sense, I'm just assuming people will understand what I'm saying with bare minimum context
i've seen some really good theories for eden written out, plus she doesn't have an alibi now so hrmm. i don't see whit as overly suspicious? only seen a significant amount of people suspecting him after this episode. hu i can see happening like she's been acting incredibly weird. but yeah it's between eden whit and hu for me
hrmmmmm. okay so honestly if its eden i feel like that would be narratively weird (kind of a min repeat + Plus she literally paralleled min so ?) and ace i feel like was literally just bleeding at the throat so i dont know if hed be able to focus. i was looking back at some episodes and eden (in episode 6) says someone is following her so maybe the person following could've seen the crime scene? and maybe one of them did grab it but gave it to someone else (scared they would be accused if they said so and the person could just be like "Nuh uh") or maybe Ace did grab it but passed out and someone took it. much to think about
Although I think you're whit Theory is very good And maybe I'm just going to say this.Because I really like him and I don't want him to die But whit Himself said he didn't know what His secret Is before they all got reviled Not only that, but when everyone is in the lunch room, he said.If you have my secret I give you permission To say it except no one did and i'm pretty sure everyone was in there Which would make sense because if Rose had a secret and threw it away. She wouldn't know his secret. Not only that. But if that was someone else's secret why wouldn't they say no way a second? That's my secret? And finally. On the website there is a secret message for every And for him it was. We tend to idolize the dead. Which to me And to other people means his mom , but it could Mean someone else.
(sorry i didn't reply) Whit could easily lie about not knowing what his secret is. Even if Arei had Whit's secret, this is before Arei gets a talk from David, so she would still keep secrets in order to blackmail people (she admits she was going to blackmail David in ep11). Plus, the secret states that the owner was "omitting the truth" that their mom was dead, and if they really were omitting the truth, they likely wouldn't want to admit it. They might even think that maybe Whit was just mistaken.
@@dizzyier Although I don't deny you're reasoning Because it is a possibility. I feel like him asking someone for his Secret in the lunch room Would have been a very stupid idea. Especially if he knew what his secret was. It's not like he would have known Who had it at that point. And even if he did know it was her. The fact that he willingly asked that Question In front of everyone When There would be no way he would be a 100%.Sure she wouldn't say anything just seems too dangerous to me. In fact if I was in the game out of everyone I think she'd be the most likely to Tell everyone about it. I mean she didn't But it's not like Whit Could have known that.
Just because you have strong theories, your evidence may be misleading you. Perhaps you fell for a red herring. Perhaps you used a piece of evidence wrong.

all of these are good reads and i suggest you check them out!
The chapter is called all that glitters, therefore the most girlypop character, whit. Is the culprit (i'm not serious)
he slayed too hard and accidentally slayed arei 😔
Whit tripped And accidentally killed arei
Seeing after the trial ended, those are some GREAT theories, you discovered a lot of things out, well done. Unfortunately none of the major theories pointed to the real culprit, but I think that's a merit to the development team who handled the trial very well
thank you caiovinicius5204. i guess i probably couldve considered the possibility that the fish were there tho frame nico and the alibi was just a byproduct of that. currently going through a wonderful phase of "What if i never made a theory ever again" but i appreciate the support
@@dizzyier I would be very happy to see more of your theories in the future. Please don't stop
thank you caiovinicius5204 ^_^
Tbh bc of the “all that glitters” title I just feel like it’s nico or hu..while whit is fairly likely I just feel like his character hasn’t been explored enough yet for him to die? Also it’s so mean of me but I just REALLLLY feel like hu was involved somehow. Literally no evidence I just feel like she was! And sorry if I said a point you went over in the vid I was typing while watching :’)
Edit: I really hope it’s not Eden or Levi! They are my top two and I will die. Arturo is possible and sort of boring, but I really wouldn’t mind if he died at all..and he could get a cool execution? It feels way too obvious though. It being whit is….something I don’t wanna think about…but probably definitely right. You’ve convinced me 😭
god do you know HOW happy i am that this video has convinced SOMEONE. no one listens to me when i speak the truth. anyway sorry
i could be wrong though don't get me wrong. if it's not him then probably hu, j, or levi
@@fireworksforme2 OHH NOO HES A MURDER MAN... i think the j/arei thing could be true and it definitely has grounds i just personally don't believe it. and whit is the only one who hasn't revealed his "true colors" yet (i don't think he'll be evil but like. yknow)
It’s not whit, he was one of the 3 people who discovered the body, alongside Teruko and Eden, and that doesn’t include the killer so it isn’t him
@@Amy-ts9gm check the pinned post, i wrote another theory that explains this!
It all makes sense.
have you been tested for neurodivergency (joke)
In all seriousness, Levi is definitely someone I think could be the culprit, from the unrevealed secret to suspicious actions. However, doesn't Levi come _out_ of his bedroom to help? While no one might question it in the moment, later someone might ask why Levi was out and about late. If Levi wanted to hide that he was out, he just wouldn't come out.
shoot i just realized the wording i used in the last sentence makes it sound like levi is coming out of the closet. love is love i guess
That would be really cool.
well what do you think now?
From my view I’ve been hard set on the idea that it’s Hu
Reasons:
1. She protected Nico who she’d been looking after, after he attacked ace
im still confused about what charles discovered at the end of the latest episode what did he and teruke miss im so confused
i think what they missed/misunderstood was the time of deat
oddly i think the jugs were used to move the fish and possibly cause sus on david ( other than him being himself ) but i might be wrong
Yeah the jugs were probably used as like weights and then the fish got caught up (helps with fabricating time of death too)
Wow this didn't age horribly unlike most of the chapter 2 theories!
i appreciate it but it's only been one episode dawg
@@dizzyier yeah but i mean it didn't immediately fall flat in ONE episode
are there any that have fallen flat in one episode? i think a lot i've seen are holding up
@@dizzyier the j and hu theories and the arei swap theory.
hrmmm. j and hu do have alibis but i dont think arei swap theory has been completely disproven? i dont know. with my luck this video is going to turn out to be horribly embarrassing
SPOILERS FOR WHO IT ACE- I MEANT IS
it was ace lol. The execution is out.
That was such an awful pun I'm inclined to think this is Whit Young commenting
Pretty sure the whole Prosopragnosia thing is just a reference to Zero Escape which is a popular killing game series
Wait huh how is it a reference. I haven't played zero escape
@@dizzyier In Zero Escape there is a traitor like character one of the ways you find out their identity is because they have prosopagnoaia
Oh okay. I still think it could serve a purpose in the story though just maybe not a swap right now
Exactly what I said, I got all giddy when I saw Prosopagnosia. Not to mention there is a character called Ace too.
why do people overlook alibis? hu, eden, charles, whit, j, arturo, teruko and veronika all have alibis. it's definetly not david. so by process of elimination it leaves ace, nico, rose and levi. i honestly don't think it's nico or ace. so that leaves rose and levi, i think levi is definetly the culprit but it still might be a celeste situation 'cause when teruko went outside and saw rose, rose said "arei is reaally dead isn't she?" without even going inside.
In the kindest way possible have you watched the video
I do like your celeste situation observation i didn't even realize that. Gotta go look at that. In any case it's releasing in one week let's go baby
@@dizzyier yeah i watched it but you said about all of the suspects for example whit, even though anyone who has an alibi can't be the culprit and the theory of the murder being at nighttime or in the morning is disproven, that's my reason for saying that and sorry if this sounded rude. also i just realized that arei is the one who had the secret "you're a murderer and you hold no remorse" which i think might be levi's secret considering that hu probaby has veronika's secret and xander has hu's but then veronika proably has min's but then i think david is lying that he has xander's secret and min is the one who actually has xander's secret and that he has teruko's so these are my assumptions whichi forgot to mention
wdym it's disproven both morning and night? they did say that in the series but i think you could easily store the fish somewhere else to commit it during the morning, and the note has AM/PM part ripped off
david is probably lying about xander's secret. for now i think popular opinion is that levi is murderer, veronika is S/H, hu is hopeless child, teruko is killing game. which is honestly pretty likely. but i dont know. with my luck this video is horribly wrong and i'm going to be embarrassed for life
@@dizzyier dw you won't be embarrassed. Sometimes I can come up with the most ridiculous theories but I believe it's disproven since David was the last one to be in the relaxation room and looking at the situation how he doesn't know anything about the fish he probably didn't know they were there but knowing my luck it could probably some strawberry and grape tower crap.
I feel like the plot is gonna take a bunch of twists and turns after this and it'll turn out that one of the people who allegedly has an alibi did it
J or Ace are my top guesses
congrats on being right on one half of that
lol
Tbh whit always had less annoying kokichi vibes.

@@dizzyier oh sorry I just put that so I could skip to 8:00 (no)
OHHH. okay because it cuts to me talking about how ace probably wouldn't pick up the tape
For some reason, I can't see J being the culprit at all, so that's why I didn't mention her.
i've seen some really good theories for eden written out, plus she doesn't have an alibi now so hrmm. i don't see whit as overly suspicious? only seen a significant amount of people suspecting him after this episode. hu i can see happening like she's been acting incredibly weird. but yeah it's between eden whit and hu for me
Do you think it’s Ace or Eden?
hrmmmmm. okay so honestly if its eden i feel like that would be narratively weird (kind of a min repeat + Plus she literally paralleled min so ?) and ace i feel like was literally just bleeding at the throat so i dont know if hed be able to focus. i was looking back at some episodes and eden (in episode 6) says someone is following her so maybe the person following could've seen the crime scene? and maybe one of them did grab it but gave it to someone else (scared they would be accused if they said so and the person could just be like "Nuh uh") or maybe Ace did grab it but passed out and someone took it. much to think about
Although I think you're whit Theory is very good
And maybe I'm just going to say this.Because I really like him and I don't want him to die
But whit Himself said he didn't know what His secret Is before they all got reviled Not only that, but when everyone is in the lunch room, he said.If you have my secret I give you permission To say it except no one did and i'm pretty sure everyone was in there Which would make sense because if Rose had a secret and threw it away.
