As someone who has boddied and been bodied to the big bad in a boss fight with this music I can say that it works really well.
....can you tell me about your campaign. I'm curious what kind of big bad you had cooked up for your players.
@@literal_otaku it's basically a play on the whole man Vs. dragon war trope (Think FF14's heavensward as a example) except this time man is a neutral party. The big bad being basically one of the original dragons that helped make the world turned into a dracolicth hellbent on destroying mankind for killing his lover. TL;DR: Dragon god angy, wants to kill man.
This is going to be a midgame boss in my campaign… they’re not ready for what’s coming after this one…
This guy is a lvl 30 paladin which funnels almost all of it’s magic into a barrier to stop a massive world eating dragon. The party needs to break the barrier to free the dragon, kill it somehow and retrieve their own world which was eaten.
I can imagine the Opera guy from that Bug Bunny cartoon singing this while he is trying to smite that Bugs Bunny from his Opera Stage.

Tbh I wish we could have gotten to see more of Nemesis in Three Houses but the boss fight was very welcomed alongside this ost. I literally had to put my controller down and figure out if I was really playing Fire Emblem still.
In a sense his brevity in presence only intensified the "oh shit" moment this fight represented! Fair enough trade I think

FE always has banger music, and it wasn’t the first time they’d used opera either. I’d say it’s pretty fitting for the game. And the kind of “sequel” to this song “Melody of Clarity” in 3 Hopes is insane as well, with Seiros’s POV rather than Nemesis’s

I've listened to both the original and this version, and something about this one hits so much harder. I think its the slightly darker and (musically) deeper aspects that are given a spotlight from time to time
The vocals are great, though I will say, and apologies in advance as I don't know if I'm phrasing this correctly, they're mixed in a little 'dryly' to the song.
But otherwise, phenomenal work all around! I especially like your decision to cover the popular fan mix of the Rain and Thunder versions of God-Shattering Star.

As for the mixing, still trying to get better. My background is in concert composing for live ensembles, and I've only started learning to mix and master about 8 months ago so that's something I need to get a lot better at.
