Props to Daz for teaching Sarah the weight of money. Sure, everyone loves to have a splurge now and then, and its fun to spoil yourself, but it's also important to know from a young age that money is important. Its not some toy, and it's infuriating when people get a big head over it.
Well, Daz himself, if you look at his old old old vines, you can tell he grew up without much money, so he knows the worth of it, and obviously wants to pass that knowledge to Sarah.

It’s difficult though. When they’re used to luxury, it’s challenging to teach them otherwise. I take my kid to soup kitchens and do charity for the homeless. It is getting through.
@lotusshakespeare3389 That's the thing though. I get the sense they don't "live in luxury." Sure, I'm sure Sarah is extremely well provided for and comfortable, but I don't think he's constantly buying her things just for the sake of it.

When I was 9, I wanted a young, well trained horse to compete in competitions in the near future. Instead I got a rescued pony who's been neglected and old, but she was the best mare I've ever met, even though she couldn't do much anymore, I learnt to appreciate what I got and it made me realize I'd rather rescue horses and ponies who have been neglected, abused, and getting them back to health and give them a better life than what they had before. Which my mum and I ended up doing for years. 😅 All my friends had the best horses and ponies, the latest gear, everything, but I never did - did I care? No, not really. I understood there's problems in the equestrian community... instead of being a spolit child, I gave up my time to help mum rescue horses.
This!! Those girls dad had what was it 47 billion dollars and to my knowledge never gave anything to charity. They have so much money yet they can’t seem to do anything good with it.

unpopular opinion: i know a lot of wealthy people complain about being rich because of how they're treated or how people look at them, but rich people don't have the right to complain about being rich. there are people sleeping on dirty benches in alley ways that haven't eaten in 5 days, children with no families or homes. if they are SO miserable having all that money, they can donate it to a worthy cause. do not expect me to feel bad for someone who is complaining about the fact that they have millions and millions of dollars in their bank account. nobody is forcing them to be filthy rich. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Being Rich can either be a success or a means to further other people’s successes. I’ve been brought up in a wealthy family and people don’t think I’m evil for having it, sure, I spend it on books, food, stationery and unnecessary items for my enjoyment but I don’t buy mansions for the sake of enjoyment, I may have money but all I’d be able to afford at the age of 13 is a small apartment in a sketchy neighbourhood with the money I’ve got…

I was thinking “it’s the handbag story with the overpriced as shit bag again isn’t it?” When he started with “So I went into Louis Vuitton,”. I know nothing about handbags despite being a biological female (I’m genderfluid), but when I heard Louis Vuitton’s prices, I almost fainted… I mean THOUSANDS?! FOR A BLOODY HANDBAG?! I wear fanny packs, it cost me £10, TEN. NOT TEN THOUSAND. TEN. Like what?! They’re nice bags and all but that’s highly unnecessary, just get yourself a good bag that’s NOT going to break your bank account and get on with it.

Holy.... Daz growing up I literally sewed my own clothes, nothing special. All the kids would make fun of me for hand-me-down shoes and clothes. So I made a few improvs like painting my boots artistic-like or using sock fabric to patch up a hole in my denim jacket I got from my dad, if I have materials to improve the wear I made it homemade, no haste to make waste. When I see people who say "I only wear gucci" I just wanna put them in the streets so they can learn what poverty feels like. Quite honestly I respect people of wealth, like you Daz, you are very respectable and you know the worth in the wealth you make. It's when wealthy people carry that attitude that just screams they don't care how much of that well earned cash they spend, thats what agitates me. Like I'm only 19! Even I got my head around how important it is to earn that money and how essential it is to keep the coins and dollars in the bank for better use rather than buying a 50 karat gold clippers. There's my penny for a thought lol. In all fairness it is their money to spend and at the end of the day all I gotta say to them is "You do you buddy" thats just their freedom of choice. Congrats on making it to the end of that rant lol, have an awesome day! =)

I used to be raised in a rich State for a while when my dad used to work on the oilfield.
And we had a lot of stuff and a pretty big house. But my parents always disciplined me and never spoiled me too much. I’m so glad I didn’t turn out like that girl with the MacBooks.

My mom used to spoil me and my sister a lot. Me and my sister both got our first phone as a toddler. She never really gave us much attention and just would give us a huge amount of toys and our room was bigger then her room (probably as big as an average sized living room) and I’m not trying to brag and I’m being honest. She pretty much threw money at us and neglected us. When I was younger I liked having all those toys, but I’d preferred to be at my dads bc he would give us attention. And back then I turned into a brat, but never really bragged abt having a bunch of toys, and I’ve always had pretty good manners. I used to whine a lot and me and my sister would argue. I was under 10 throughout it. But as I got into 4th grade I honestly didn’t like it. I really just wanted love and attention instead of money. And before fourth grade ended my mom had left us at our dads. And being at my dads, we didn’t have a whole lot of money like with my mom. And since living with him, I’ve been more respectful with money. My sister still has trouble with spending money, but I don’t like when getting gifts bc it makes me feel bad that money is being used by other people on me. I’ve became more mature then I used to be. I live fully with my dad, and I am better with money. Currently saving money, and gonna get a summer job since I’m 14, so when Im 18 I’ll be able to have enough to get top surgery and help my dad at when needed. But my whole point of writing this was to show how, when I stopped getting money thrown at me whenever I wanted, I become a better person. I feel like I wrote to much, and if you are reading this, thank you for reading all of this. I hope you have a great rest of you day/night.
My situation wasn't too different from yours except I'm an only child. My parents focused more on their jobs than me and didn't want to put in the effort to raise me properly so I got whatever I wanted basically. I was a brat as a child and talked back because of it. Thankfully, my grandma and aunts put a stop to it and straightened me out before I became a teenager. Now I'm frugal with my money, try to respect other people, and help out my family when they need it. I'm wishing you the best in all your future endeavors.
