I think the bonus of the liquitex and maybe the molotow markers is that they can be refilled with your own colors! Also, when you start a fresh pen, you should do the first pump of the marker with the pen tip up facing you- this helps prevent the marker from flooding by venting some of the air inside so it doesn’t force more paint out than necessary

Great video! The Brusho some people will poke a pinhole in the cap, instead of fully opening them, to limit the Chaos Potential. The pinholes can be made with a safety pin or thumb tack and covered with a bit of tape

My first time watching one of your videos. One minute and seven seconds in and I'm hooked. The minute I heard you say you wanted something other than white paper I thought hallelujah finally someone else that feels the same way I do. White paper feels a bit printer paper or grade school to me and it's getting harder and harder to find ivory paper and something not too yellow.

you may be looking for a b5 sketchbook. "The sizing of B-series sheets is calculated from the geometric mean of the A-series. For example, a B5 sheet is sized between an A4 and A5 sheet." good luck.

Stillman and burn sketchbooks have a ivory colour that you’re looking for in this one of their sketchbook ones. They only have one, but it is ivory.

Thank you, Lauren! This was really great to see -- all these products and colors. Scarlet is my favorite color, too! I mixed it up by accident one day and painted everything in sight plus, one whole sheet of watercolor paper which I ripped down to business card size! I have a swatch with me wherever I go! LOL! I love Liquitex. In high school they were used as liquid embroidery. We were all doing tablecloths and matching napkins. Each color was in a tube with a fine tip and you just followed the printed design on the fabric. You'd have to heat-set it with an iron afterward and it was washable. It was so much faster than using thread. I learned something new today... Your taking the paper towel roller over the fresh paint, removing the excess for a great background page. I thought that was really neat! Thank you!

Im very addicted to posca markers. I also like the sharpie brush water acrylic markers, they dry matte but dont have a lot of colors. Micheals is carrying the karin ones now too w a brush tip, they dry matte too.

The size in between would be a B5 my friend, maybe not in that brand but Archer & Olive do a gorgeous art journal in the B5 size. I believe they also have the option to select cream pages too! Xx

I poke a small hole in the top of each Brusho container. Gives you much more control, (won't waste as much or make as much of a mess) and works really well if all you want is a sprinkle or spatter effect. Wet the paper first then sprinkle or sprinkle and then spray the area. It's a really fun product and the colors are gorgeous!

I’m not a great fan of acrylic paint (I do use it some) bc I’m washing “plastic” down the sinkj, but with acrylic markers, you don’t have the paint waste cleaning water going down the sink…so for me, they’re a great eco option 😊 I read on Wet Canvas, that Liquitex acrylic markers ARE refillable, as are Montana and Molotow (the most expensive) but they just don’t tell you that. Montana and Molotow even offer empty marker tubes and replaceable nibs.👍

I think the size you're looking for is B5... But I don't think Royal Talens produces their Art Creations sketchbook in that particular size... :(
I really hope they do some day, since they produce the little square ones which are an unusual size! 😁
Thank you for sharing! I hope you have a wonderful day! 😊

I too get tired of the “typical” yellows we often see in sets of anything. I love the soft yellows and am a fan of “creams” that are usually in the yellow range. For the bolder yellows….I love a “golden marigold” yellow…my name for it…and you can find it in colors like “cadmium medium & deep yellows” and I think you can get these in cad free versions too. I think versions of “New Gamboge & Naples Yellow” also offer some beautiful and more interesting yellows.

Do you put Bobby pins or thumbtacks in the top of your brushos I find it much easier to use them that way so you don’t get too much so much pigment a little goes a very very long way
