The dream sounded best in every clip. Thanks for this.

Tube amps are better. Like way way way better. I'd rather pack around my amp than sound like poo.

Tonex is not the problem but the profile he's using.

The Tonex one sounds pretty horrible tbh. The Dream is like a real amp.

I own them both. I wish I could say Tonex was better, but the UA dream sound and response is leagues ahead. Though you get a LOT more sounds out of Tonex, and there are advantages to just staying in the box. The UA Dream lacks a few things that I think it should have at the price they are charging, but no doubt it plays fantastic.

Dream gets overdriven very quickly, I think it’s bc it was modelled after Vibrato-Channel of the deluxe reverb, rather than normal channel

Hi, the feeling is the most important to me, what can you tell us about? There is more latency in the Tonex? I will prefer somithing that do one thing excellent that 100 amps without feeling to play... Thanks!

Yes. Not really a problem if you keep it within reach because you can use the volume to combat this (try keeping it low). But if you have it on the floor I can see how some people don’t like this.

Hard to describe, but it’s like ToneX has 3 layers to the sound and Dream has 30. Also, you can get quite a few different sounds out of the Dream, each of the cabs sound quite different.

What reference monitores do you use?

I have the Dream and love it. I use it live and to record. I just bought the ToneX to give me more versatility then just a Deluxe sound. In this video, the ToneX lacks a little body compared to the Dream. Do you think it has to do with the IR being used? Anyway to get more body with a different IR?

I tried several IRs, you can get close but I still prefer the feel of the Dream. The only thing is that it’s get overdriven too soon, I’d prefer that they modelled the normal channel of the deluxe reverb, not the vibrato channel

@@yuri-guitarist Even with the input gain set to minimun and the output close to max you get overdrive to soon? I saw a video with the ua very clean with those settings. It´s important to me to get a clean sound. Thank you! from Argentina... everything here is too expensive and I'am between the tonex and dream (I know that is better have both....... ) Everybody seems now buying the Tonex pedal, I don´t know its the initial product hype...

@@juanmanuelcabrerapauli9507 with the input gain set to minimum it's quite fine, but as it is modelled from vibrato channel of DR, not the normal channel, the clean sound is more harsh than let's say Strymon iridium DR Simulation, although, to my ears, Dream is more natural

    ….cool idea …. And great playing 🤩🤩

Not really a fair comparison. Unless you've spent $500 on a decent audio interface to plug into the iPad you're comparing apples and pears and the results are exactly what anyone would expect. Nice playing though!

Use DREAM with Boss pedals into mixer. Perfect sound.
