I just worked on a 2015 mustang with the lambo door hinges. If you don't open them up right they will hit the fender. Also the wiring harness was basically the door check strap and couple wires were cracked. You can't get out of them with any kind of speed. There worth around 1500 new if not more. Also there is a Allen screw to adjust the height of the door as it closes which came out of adjustment and chipped the paint at the latch opening. I'd put the original back on if they didnt drill through the body since some have different mounting points than stock. Love the channel!
The biggest reason people have problems with Crashing the Mustang is they have a Fly by Wire Throttle. They get the job done but if you lose traction and try to peddle the throttle there is a delay between when you take your foot off the peddle to when the Throttle body reacts! This may be ok in a Car with 80 hp but when you have 400 hp the car will crash before the Throttle releases!

From personal experience as an amateur drag racer, we have too much front end weight. Most if not all muscle cars with the front weight at about 52 to 58% on the front end, not good. Most sports cars have the weight towards the rear of the car, either 50-50 or 52 plus percent toward the rear of the car. The car is much better handling towards the rear of the car.

Butterfly doors are played out as much as the term “played out” is played out. I’m sure the person buying the car would think what else did the previous owner do to the car if they put those doors on it. It’s limiting a limited market. To be honest, a flat plane crank doesn't belong in a muscle car. Yes, they sound great, in a Ford GT or in the C8 but not in a pony car. Just like lambo doors don't belong on a mustang. Specially ones that don't work properly! lol

The problem with the traction control is the design. Back then, Ford used the rear brakes to try and limit wheel spin as traction control. But it only worked on the standard GT's. Any of the supercharged models were able to easily over power the rear brakes.
I like many other Saleen owners feel we have a special car and it is because all the reasons you stated in your video. It so true about the drivers of all Mustang, they are powerful and you must know your car. Didn't read all the comments but I'm sure Shelby owners beg the differ. I daily drive 05 Mustang GT 5spd manual. And i Love it. Its stock and its a blast to drive. Hasnt hit the crowd yet, but did put it to the curb once😂 -Put back stock hinges.
I have a base gt for those years and I just don’t give it full throttle when turning right. Especially when it rains I really don’t give it a lot. But not full throttle I can make the tires spin slightly and have fun
Love most Saleen’s butt never was the biggest fan of the Center Exhaust ….. i know many Muscle car enthusiasts do ( i don’t hate it ) butt i Prefer the dual exhaust @ the Corners 🍷
Saleen looks great but performance wise it's not even close. Hp isn't that far apart stock but the Shelby has a much higher ceiling and a way better trans. It's really not close it's in a different realm

There are two kinds of Shelby Mustangs - Those built by Ford and those built by Shelby American. Think of those built by Ford as Factory designed SVT/ Ford racing/Ford Performance products and those built by Shelby American as tuner/modified Mustangs.
Number 1: lose those stupid a$$ door hinges. Number 2: I really like Saleens, but there's no way it's a better than my 2014 GT500. I've owned mustangs my entire life and never crashed one. My Shelby has 835hp and is a head turner with my super snake hood and rims with an APR Racing front splitter.
The Shelby has a superior driveline. That goes for 07 on up. The Saleen is a mustang gt driveline with a blower. Far as handling and braking and looks they're great but their potential don't compare to a Shelby.
Dude- THe Saleen sounds like a rice rocket!! The 07/08 Shelby GT is THE BEST SOUNDING car in my 55 years of "Listening" . In my lane? SOUND IS about half , literally HALF the pleasure.
While the Saleen may be more aestestically pleasing over the Shelby, the Shelby is far superior mechanically. 5.4 vs 4.6. 6 speed versus 5 speed. And the 5.4 used forged internals vs the 4.6 weak bottom end.
The gt500 stomps any Saleen into the ground easily. Only the extreme model can come close and it's still a 4.6 2v vs a 5.4 4v and the Trans is far superior to that gt with a pretty dress on aka Saleen. Don't get me wrong I like Saleen I think they look great but performance wise they don't compare to a Shelby and potential wise it's not even close. The terminator and Shelby both destroy Saleen. You can actually get both of those as Saleen also aka terminator or Shelby with the Saleen treatment vs the usual gt that gets Saleen treatment like most are but they're super rare.
S351 Saleen - 5.7 Windsor with heads cobra intake vortech blower and oh yeah 495rwhp(rated on 500hp for insurance, really 550-600hp)and u can get 1000hp with a better(2022) turbo or procharge

Not to be nitpicky, but it's funny how many Mustang fans, and Saleen owners, still don't say the name of the company correctly. It's not pronounced "SAY-leen" it's pronounced "suh-LEEN". The first part pronounced like "duh" and then heavy on the "LEEN". ;-) I was guilty of it myself until I ordered one ('94 S351) and the guy at the dealership corrected me. Either way, they're great cars and I'd love to get another.

Some cars in the 80s were lucky if they could go that fast. But I would still take it over your Hyundai. Talk to a guy at my work that has Hyundai and it been in the shop for almost 4 months now and they are clueless to what’s wrong with it. And a lot of shops won’t even work on them. And by the way this is a Hyundai dealership. And his warranty isn’t covering shit and it under 10 years old and around 70 thousand miles but they keep charging him and it still isn’t fix he got over 2 thousand in it now. The last time he pick it up after 3 months the very next day it did the same things again now it been back at the dealership for like 2 more weeks. He wanted to bring it elsewhere but no one wanted to work on it. They told him that there Mechanics are not train to work on them. So he been without his car getting close to 4 months now. They are completely clueless what wrong with his car. I don’t know why he hasn’t gotten a lawyer by now. And the resale value on them suck also

The problem is this. The doors are nowhere close to how real Lamborghini doors work and your wife demonstrated that perfectly. Lamborghini doors, don't need to be opened and THEN raised, they do it as a single motion and that's why they are cool. The same with Gullwing doors and Falcon doors. The only value these provide is when the car is parked and showing off. Easy decision. These detract from the value of the car, so put the original hinges and see what you can get on eBay for them and if it's not enough, offer it as a free upgrade to the buyer if they wanted. Most will NOT want them, however.

What Craig doesn’t mention is that banks don’t consider Roush or Saleen mustangs for loans. When selling there are limited buyers. Means a lot.

But a Saleen has a lame SOHC 3 valve engine with a supercharger on it. The GT500 of the time was futuristic because it had a DOHC 32 Valve engine.

It's not a Shelby hood. Shelby hoods are not interchangeable with other moded Mustangs

Lose the doors. It’s unSaleen like, not original. It’s like dropping a Shelby or tinting the windows. Takes away from the value as well. My 2 cents.
