"What's your favorite music genre?" Japanese folk metal. "What's your favorite band?" Japanese Folk Metal. "What's your favorite album?" Japanese Folk Metal by Japanese Folk Metal.
I literally thought Chris from Alestorm was making a joke whenever he said such and such by "Japanese Folk Metal." Like "japan doesn't have a folk metal band so we labeled the dudes that did it a very generic label ahahaha." But uh....no. Narrations done by JAPANESE FOLK METAL. Was not a joke. I'm listening to...JAPANESE FOLK METAL. Best japanese folk metal band.
Actually a pretty clever name. I literally googled japanese folk metal, not expecting to find a band by that name but a genre. Was pleasantly surprised. Best band ever.
@@MrJeanBombers I think "Curse of the Crystal Coconut" is literally the band referencing everything that's ever influenced them, including a cartoon about Donkey Kong. and "best japanese folk metal band, JAPANESE FOLK METAL!!!!"
Would love to see them live, Korpiklaani is actually a major letdown live, went a few times to see if they get better, but they old and don't give a damn anymore. Trollfest was 2 times playing before them, they stole the show, would recommend.
I was going around searching _____ metal to see if there was a metal version of everything... This one caught my ear. Now I'm a fan. And yes, everything I searched so far had a metal version.
Metal music is like the rule 34 of music. If something exists, there's metal of it. You can find pirate metal, polka metal, Viking metal, Aztec/Mayan metal, Egyptian metal, video game-themed metal, etc. Possibilities in metal are infinite!
I was looking up Japanese folklore and then I saw this and I had to check it out. I wasn't disappointed in the least this is perhaps the most unique metal music I've heard in a looongggg time. Sidenote: Turn on auto generated english captions you won't regret it.
Just got this recommended while listening to Ensiferum. Love it, very different and unique. Exactly what i want from music. Just as amazed as hearing wagakki band for my first time. Which says a lot being that is like my fav band. Well besides nocturnal bloodlust and band-maid
Great album! Unfortunately the order of a physical copy in Japan from Europe via Amazon does not work, so I have to stick with my Bandcamp digital version. My favourite songs are Omatsuri Sawagi and The unsung Brewers. Everytime I listen to The unsung Brewer I get a feeling of „Ensiferum“-Vibes, and I mean it in the most positive way possible!
Make this the soundtrack for some brutal anime where a ninja or samurai runs around killing people with a sword. Though some of this sounds like Japanese Flogging Molly more than metal.
Hey Jan! Durch einen glücklichen Zufall kenne ich den Bassisten. Wenn du wirklich interessiert bist, kann ich dir wahrscheinlich eine CD zukommen lassen. Österreich ist ja ein bisschen näher als Japan...
Hey guys, love the music. While I like the vocals, I would love an instrumental to use for when I play DND with my friends. Would totally buy just an instrumental cd, do you have any instrumental versions?

Thank you for comments!!!
We need to think of a solution for selling our CD for overseas. We’ll look it up.
Cool, thanks!!!
You need to come to the EU, not just sell your albums here.
Your live shows must be a hell of a party.
@@shiuerus Can you imagine them playing alongside Korpiklaani, Ensiferum, Turisas etc.? Because I could surely can, and that would be great!

Wow what a great album. Unfortunately a bad sound mix, was this recorded in a garage? Hey we have 2019 with modern sound engineering.
Just think. A band's first CD, with a style maybe not popular un Japan. Mix all of it with not enought money for pay an HQ studio.

As someone that has listened to this genre 20 or so years. This is mediocre because of how recycled it is.
This doesn’t even sound Japanese.
