A heart touching elegy by Lord Alfred Tennyson written for his beloved friend whom he has lost forever.
Its such a beautiful presentation of thoughts that one can feel the pain and fear of separation at once.......
One of the quotes I admire ..."Self-reverence, self-knowledge, self-control; these three alone lead life to sovereign power" ~ Alfred Lord Tennyson
.
The poem is very interesting.... Thank you ma'am for explaining
My school time poem !
Loved your explanation.
I lost my close friend 3 yrs back, since than this poem has become an insaparable one in my life.
I always miss him in good and bed times.

Ma'am the video is good but your voice is little bit low because of the music.
Music was too loud...made it a bit harder to hear the voice
Thank you very much ❤❤ from Iraq
Thank u mam it was an amazing one.
Thanku
The music is louder than the ur voice , pls decrease the music or increase ur voice
Thank u❤️
Mam no one can teach literature like you....
Love the explanation but the background music was too loud and annoying
However Hypothetical it is, in my opinion if you read it very closely you can almost feel the sorrow ; Break Break Break might be an allegory for the grave, himself fuelling up to come out of the sorrow, his comparison with others Happiness.
Will never come back to me also hint that Alfred's friend cannot come back.
The poem is beautiful only if you read it from heart.
Thanks mam helped a lot

Mam so clear voice 😊😗
Ma'am i have a question related to this chapter only...please tell me..
My question- ma'am what is the connection between sea and the poet in the first stanza..
Ma'am please tell me....
I think -- the poet is saying that the sea is, again and again, striking/dashing to the stone and breaking like this the sea is expressing his thought but the poet is in grief/sorrow that he is not able to express his thought.
