Enfin de superbes images du Festival de jazz de chateauvallon avec JFJC comme j'aurais aimé y être j'adore Le Bon Free jazz ( Trop Jeune Pas né a La bonne Époque 1947 naissance idéal)
This is a marvellous video, thanks very much for making it more widely available! For a long time even the radio broadcast had disappeared from online circulation... some viewers may not know that this superb group was Braxton's "lost quartet" - AB never had the chance to get them into the studio. Everyone with even a passing interest in his music needs to check this out! (No idea where the TV guys got that "title" for Comp. 23d, which bears no resemblance to the real one...)
Sooooo greaaattttt!!! Amazing, this music will stand forever...
He is amazing, and his bands were stunning.
Great! And you know these cats rehearsed! Those days were the time of
change and growth. But every generation comes up with something.
I guess I am maybe a little too nostalgic.
No you're not. That was a special time, before all the retro "heritage" schtick.
The clear extension of Dolphy and Coltrane. Music history.
Blissing out over here. Thank you kindly.
This is brilliant, thanks for putting it up. What a find this is.
Thank you so much for posting this. I love the album these are from
Thank you for this amazing footage of another great band and drummer to go along with your footage of Steve McCall with Paul Bley from 1972. You are making a Chicago AACM lover, drummer very happy. Now for some Jerome Cooper and Phillip Wilson from this period. Still no Air footage?
WooooOooooooo!!!!!!
Classic
Fantastic!
J'y étais !

Wow.great video! ..I thought it was Arjen Gorter on Bass until they wrote Jenny Clark.
You can see him here w/ Paul Bley (same festival, previous year) : ruclips.net/video/86jpV7p92wU/видео.html ;-)

I've never heard of the bass player or drummer before?

@@Eifila Thank you. The bass player has a four barrel name!?
Is this the entire concert? I think that there may be more because of the many unused instruments lying around.
only a part of it, broadcasted later by the french TV; a single set, after, on the same night, Archie Shepp, ruclips.net/video/PC8t-XVvnoU/видео.html
I have a bootleg of this concert that has two additional tracks that come before the ones on this (Compositions 23 A and 6 F)
@@chloejackson-reynolds418 It could be nice to share it on your channel ;-)
Is it a video or mp3, please?
Difficult to see how anybody could watch this and see Braxton's music as 'cerebral'.
this isn't but often is - this is, in my opinion, his best side.
