From Florida. Sitting in my vehicle listening to this so touching, beautiful story and tears flowing down my cheeks. Living in poverty, having children; and struggling so hard to make ends meet put me in remembrance of my childhood days and our mom who struggled to put food on the table, shoes on our feet, clothes on our backs and a roof over our heads. We were not fortunate to get help like Leah but we made the best of it through it all. We give God praise and thanks for where all of us are today. Hats off to the narrator for this.

It’s so refreshing to hear or read about a good news story wherever it may be. We need more people to be aware of how good it feels to help those who truly need it. We should be aware of who might be vulnerable and what help we might offer.

A long time ago I was in such a fix, and really needed help. I was a single mom, with 5 young children, at that time. My abusive husband was no longer part of our family. The visiting nurse, who made home visits, routinely, saw what we were going through, and, unbeknown to us, she submitted our names to the local bank, and Christmas came and my children, and I, were the recipients of food and gifts that just overwhelmed us. What a blessing! I wish you could have seen the happy faces of my children. It was beautiful. I sent a thank you note to the bank, and to that nurse, even though I know she didn't want, or need, any thanks. God bless everyone who helped the folks in this story, and the family, too.
