    This story is a good start for all Americans to understand the challenge some of us still experience to this day. The color of your skin still matters, your race still matters, your birth place still matters. Working for the airlines for over twenty five years, you can find a very challenging situation almost daily. It creates a very unsafe work place. Standard company policies and procedures , federal laws and guide lines, and even union membership laws do not even address the problem at hand. To foster and apply all the necessary measures to protect all of us in time of injustice that any member experience is just to follow the law and implement a true concept of valuing each individual as an asset in our pursue of the ever challenging American Dream. That is my opinion as a brown skin man of fifty five years of being a proud American naturalized citizen.

We need to see a person's heart and not the appearance. ❤ when hearts recognize there is unity. I have been in places no white person, yet alone a woman would go. Though a Christian a sister in a Moslem world. Your actions make a difference. Giving people time to think and change. Just a tiny seed to think and change will make your heart soar and world unite.

  • @GeorgePsaros
    @GeorgePsaros 25 дней назад +99

    Complete BS story. None of it is how seat assignments work and flight attendants don’t move passengers around. A flight attendant would also not ask to see a first class passengers boarding pass as she would have a boarding report with each passengers name, seat assignment and travel priority. The FA would have instantly known he was deadheading crew member. If there was in fact an overbooking which is not done in first class deadheading crew members are the first to be moved. The entire story is so fictitious as to be laughable.

    • @pcowdrey
      @pcowdrey 24 дня назад +10

      I agree. Story is moving, but too "perfect". The first thing that made me doubt the story was that "Captain Marcus" had not been a part of the preflight briefing and secondly, I'm pretty sure that "Captain Chen" did not have the authority to reassign himself in this situation. He was the assigned Captain and that could not be changed on a whim. Further, (I don't remember the departure point, but) a simple cross country flight to Los Angeles does not require a relief pilot. This story is BS. Not even a nice try.
      I agree with the sentiments but the story doesn't ring true. I'm calling bull shit and I'm giving the video a thumbs down. Patrick Cowdrey, Central Point, Oregon.

    • @pcowdrey
      @pcowdrey 24 дня назад +5

      More BS emerged as the video continued. The narrator says that "some students in the back of the plane heard the initial conversation". That's absolute BS. You could never hear a conversation that far away in that acoustic environment even without the ambient sounds of other people's conversations. From first class, all the way to the back of the cabin? More bull.
      I agree- the kind of discrimination spoken of here should never take place. Neither should bullshit stories. Like this. This is a political video. Patrick Cowdrey, Central Point, Oregon

      @rudyjakma3664 I would have thought that a retired airline captain, you would have recognized this "rubbish" as fiction by young writers trying to show racism in their own way.

      @pentispy you have a good point but I have flown with black first officers who later were upgraded to captain
      Here is Europe I am satisfied that they were treated with all the respect according to their rank.
      And cabin crew know the identity of other positioning crew members.
      More so a captain can never just yield his position to a colleague at the point of departure.
      Only in case of a serious incident like incapacitation. I don't want to expand further on this platform

    We did not choose the colour of our skin, why judge by the colour of ones skin, when is this going to STOP. We are all creation of the almighty, be it black, green or yellow. Dont judge.

    Give yourself a pet on the back if you could early guess the conclusion. Extra bonus if you knew Marcus and Sarah got married and flew together every since

    He couldn’t have taken over the plane at this stage, the captain role starts a long time before they enter the plane. There’s a lot of briefing and planning. So this is pure fantasy.

    Reshuffle of seats sometimes happens when many seats on the aircraft are vacant,and the aircraft is not balanced,i witnessed that when I was flying from Tanzania to Zambia,it seems the seat numbers ended in the middle of the plane and we were asked that some of passengers to move to the back of plane to balance up the plane.
