I see that I look at things differently than the last comment.
I’m 71, just started fly fishing and I love it. I didn’t get into this because I thought it would be easy, nor to catch more fish. For me there is something very artistic about watching a skilled fly fisherman as he works his magic seemingly bringing his line to life.
I enjoyed watching as each of these students learned and improved. I know that learning is something I take pride in and it was obvious that they did as well.
Thank you for the video, I really enjoyed it!

This is harder than it looks. Spent more than 300 on a combo and regretting it. I'm trying to catch fish not learn to how throw a rod out. Fly fishing is hard and expensive than other type of fishing. Why bother?

Fly fishing allows for an upstream presentation and stealthier presentation. In addition, you can work in tighter quarters when fly fishing. It has more diverse tackle options and once you get good at it you'll have your lure in the water more than a spin caster. It takes dedication and awareness. It's not for everyone, but if you learn you can go for spots no other fishing style can reach. Just because something is hard you give up that easy? Relax and take your time, it's fishing, not tax filing.
