He's got what it takes, but like for most big men, the question is whether he can stay healthy. When the trade with Detroit was voided due to a failed physical, you have to consider whether he's been hiding injuries while on the Nuggets and whether that contributed to some of his poor play or perceived laziness.

The future looks extremely bright for the Magic. Banchero is going to be a superstar, Wagner is a stud, Wendell Carter Jr is improving each year, Suggs has potential and then there is Bol Bol who has made a huge leap this year.
On top of that, it looks like they will get a decent pick from the draft this year. They could be an incredible team if everything comes together.

Fantastic analysis, Andy. Imagine the growth curve Bol Bol is experiencing as he's given the opportunity to play thru his mistakes...watching game tape, adjusting and improving his performance, aided by a training and coaching staff that believes in him and encourages him. Imagine his "upgrade" at season's end and over the summer when he has a chance to truly reflect on the last season's results and spend quality time working to fill in the holes in his game. The upside for Bol Bol and the Orlando Magic is staggering. They may not be the winningest team in the NBA right now but they are definitely my favorite team to watch. What’s even better is he’s on a Magic team that is trying to get better and even has an outside shot at the play-in. Playing on teams like the Rockets and Spurs doesn’t benefit young stars because they’re told they can just chuck up shots all game. They have two of the best frontcourt players in Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, a nice backcourt with Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs, Bol Bol, and Wendell Carter is finally having a breakthrough season as a starting Center. Orlando might not be good now, but if the front office gives this time to develop and gets the right pieces in the offseason then they will be good.

Love to see my people🇸🇸🇸🇸 Getting traded to a rebuilding team is the best thing that’s happened to Bol. I think the Warriors should do this with Wiseman, it’ll give him the opportunity to learn as he plays as the team isn’t contending. I feel bad for what’s happening to him

Great analysis! Has he expressed which NT he's willing to represent next level? Nowadays, the historic track don't mean a thing (can't understand the contradictions) I'm glad for him. I'm curious about his future, as the Mohamed Bamba's. Greetings from Portugal. Ps- Also very happy with the health the League is demonstrating, so many talented players, so much young blood! Chances are being given as i have never seen before. I once feared the worst: the League was stagnant around the transition of the millenium. Só many veteran players, lack of generational rennewal Today, all the signs are on opposite drection. I find it vibrant! Sure, veteran players will always be needed.

I'm not questioning whether he'll improve...it's pretty much a given if he remains healthy. What he *does* need to do is continue to bulk up, but at only 23, he's got plenty of time to continue hitting up the weight room. Other than that, this guy has a bright future.

It's good to see Bol getting a chance. I really wish Omer Yurtseven would get a chance to play in Miami. He's the best big man on the Heat besides Bam, but Spoelstra won't play him.

Orlando should keep Banchero, Bol, & Franz as untouchables & experiment with trade talk with their other young core. Bring in better 3 point shooters, defense, & possibly an all star (superstar is a stretch lowkey) & they could be a playoff team in the next 2 seasons

He's perceived lack of motivation is 100% based off of stereotypes. Dude came from money his grandfather is a legitimate African chief his father played in the NBA as well. If he didn't have the motivation he has zero reason to play
