The Alien movies in release order (not including AVP): *Alien *Aliens *Alien 3 *Alien: Resurrection Prequels: *Prometheus *Alien: Covenant Many ppl will say to skip 3 & 4, but I feel they all have some merit.
The whole aesthetic of this film is amazing. The exterior shots of the ship at the beginning are so amazingly detailed. It's just so fascinating to look at. And then the shots of the interior corridors and main living spaces with the lights out, everything impressively clean and sterile as if the ship itself is not awake yet; until the screen blips on and flashes the warning to the emergency helmets and MOTHER, the ships autonomous computer operating system, which then awakens the crew from cryo. Just amazing visuals setting the mood for the rest of the film. I always thought of the room with the white lights everywhere, where Capt. Dallas, and later Ripley communicates with MOTHER, kind of seems like a womb. The crew are children looking to MOTHER for guidance and answers to their questions, but she can't help them. Only Ripley has good survival instincts and is never given credit for her "by the book safety situation protocols." Then, she ends up being the soul survivor (with a cat) in the end. Half of the crew died because nobody wanted to listen to a woman... ugh. On the opposing side is the titular ALIEN. Which essentially unwillingly violates the host and impregnates them with a vicious baby that births itself by bursting out of the chest. Then finding its own way to survive, without guidance, only primordial instict. This franchise has always felt extremely feminine to me and I really like it for that. And of course all the amazing shots and special effects, the strobe lights and the score! It's all just so fantastic! I love this franchise! Edit/ Addition: Please please please 🙏 check out my favorite film POLTERGEIST (1982) directed by Tobe Hooper (directed Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974) with heavy Steven Spielberg involvement and it shines through brilliantly. It is my favorite film in the Horror genre and my favorite film of all time. I first saw it when I was 3 years old and it terrified me and I was hooked on Horror ever since. TL,DR: I love the ALIEN franchise I love Horror films Fave film is POLTERGEIST (1982)... check it out 😅
That was like a burial at sea, except in space. Ash was protecting the alien but if they had stabbed it when it popped out, it would have sprayed acid everywhere, so he was kind of right.
The damp leaky place reminds me of the water slide place the school use to take us to when I was kid when we on the ground looking up its just like this dripping down lots of pipes and big tubes don't think chains lol waiting in line then gotta climb the ladder loved going down that slide over and over again lol this is one of earliest scenes of horror I remember watching as a kid I think number one is Halloween opening scene then this then the zoom in on kids face when jaws is eating people or coming after him lol
If you decide to watch Star Trek, you should watch maybe the top 10 episodes of ST Original Series from the 60s, then watch Movies 1-6 since this is all the same crew. Switch back to television and watch ST The Next Generation (TNG) and watch the top episodes from each season. TNG cast is in movies 7-10 Then Nutrek movies.
The Thing (1982) directed by John Carpenter first time reaction please because this movie to me is the only other sci-fi horror movie to ever rival Alien (1979) directed by Ridley Scott and I am a new subscriber as well:).
Appreciate it man! and yes this is a movie that has eluded me for a while i actually have it on my list and was saving it for the spooky season since its such a cult classic!
You're talking about bunch of stuff people overlook in this one but when they see Prometheus or covenant they like why they doing this why they doing that why are they so stupid lol people in this original movie is stupid too lol?
Yeah, see the difference between them and me I'll pass up my paycheck I'll go get a new job I'm not putting my life at risk for exploring and unknown world and secondly as soon as I saw that face hugger on that guy's face, I would have been gone I would have stolen the shuttle and left with a cat. Alien Movies in (Chronological) Order AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004) ... Aliens' vs Predator: Requiem (2007) ... Prometheus (2012) ... Alien: Covenant (2017) ... Alien (1979) ... Aliens (1986) ... Alien 3 (1992) ... Alien Resurrection (1997) But I could be wrong. I found this list on Google on how to watch the movies correctly. But someone told me actually it's Prometheus and then AVP Movies and so one and so on.
So youve pointed out some stuff that i and many others have and that is that in later films the crew is often criticized for doing some seriously idiotic shit and as an alien super fan im here to help so in this original movie the crew are literally truckers in space meaning that travel in space has become so normal that instead of professionals that have to pass regular physical mental and psychiatric exams to pilot these ships its become so automated and " easy" that having the normal joe schmo haul stuff around is the most profitable thing to do. So these guys arent gonna the follow the procedure kimda people they are rough necks that just care about getting the job done whichever way they can. As for a movie suggestion godzilla minus one would be a good one for the channel just makexsure not to watch the dubbed version its garbage. Xeno stats 7-9 foot tall with a segmented tail that can extend up to 20 feet when at full length it does this by extending the segments with cartilidge between each segment Can mature within hours of coming out of host. Has been shown in multiple instances to survive the vaccum of space. Wont say where this next part is from but the alien is capable of walking through a rocket thruster and is only mildly annoyed It has been shown to survive 10 tons of molten lead being dropped on it. Can claw and punch through "durasteel" which is an alloy mix that is light as some plastics but is as strong as titanium.

If you shoot it up or hurt it it'll bleed acid that'll melt through the ship and then you screwed lol

If I can make a suggestion. Watch the Hobbit first and then the Lord of the Rings. Because the Hobbit is the prequel to Lord of the rings.
