The Styer Scout is not a sniper rifle. A scout rifle is designed for medium and short range. A scope with a long eye relief and low power is ideal for a scout rifle. The scope should be mounted on the picatinny rail on the barrel. Scout rifles are popular for hunting.

If you think it's a long range sniper rifle, it's gonna get very bad reviews. Of course, it's built for the exact opposite type of shooting. It's specious made for super fast shots on potentially dangerous game from point blank out to medium range at most.
It's designed to be shot with a scout type low power optic and to have both eyes open for situational awareness.

Ah the Steyr Scout, one of the craziest creations by Colonel Jeff Cooper which was initially developed for hunting game on the plains of Africa. It was a rifle that tried to tick every box and in doing so ended up ticking none of them. Just a heads up Rob, but that rifle was designed to be used with a long eye relief, mid powered, scout scope and not the long range scope that you mounted on it. It was supposed to be a lightweight and maneuverable rifle that you get on target fast.

Styer Scout is an awesome hunting rifle. Lite as heck and easy in the bush. Not a Sniper rifle by any stretch. Yours came with no optic so you didn't get the joy of using the weak optic it came with. Put a reasonable optic on and its solid at medium ranges. The only real drag is the crazy recoil. Its so lite it puts all the recoil on the shoulder. Try the Styer SBS heavy tactical if you want a longer range Styer. Heavy.

Yes! Once the barrel gets hot the internal diameter changes allowing some of the force to leak past the bullet. So therefore causing less momentum which equals less accuracy. 2014 physics exchange. And I am very proud to say as a female shooter I actually did my research on this because I was flustered with my groupings after shooting 100 rounds down range. My spouse teased me in regards to it as we are very competitive when shooting!

Edit: yes, when your barrel gets too hot, you will get different strings of fire. I prefer an AR platform for coyotes but either way, if you shoot slowly, it won't heat up as fast. For hunting purposes, I'd recommend going with your cold bore zero

    -It's light
"it punches the hell out of me!"
-the mounting solutions were meant for lower power scopes for fast target acquisition
"I can't mount any high powered scopes on it!"
also I don't think that not being about to manipulate the bolt unless is on fire is fine to me.

being an employee at a pawn/gun shop my boss doesnt like the public filming the guns ESPECIALLY the local news or whatever. last time they were in the guy was just like "i just want to take a few shots of the guns and no one else will let me" so me and my co worker were like sure dude go for it. guy was in for like 10 minutes and just basically filmed b roll. but my bosses reasoning was that they tend to use footage on negative stories and then your business in turn gets demonized for no reason. i also think people have this idea that pawn shops sell guns on the "shady" side as opposed to any other ffl which is fair cause pawn shops are kind of looked at as predatory or shady places in general when in reality, we have an FFL, we turn our serial numbers, pictures, you name it over to the police department to review EVERY SINGLE DAY. ive helped so many people track down their stolen goods its insane. we actually help people get their shit back in certain cases but people just dont know that which is fair but yeah.

I wouldnt say that it being hot effects accuracy but the heat in the barrell etc and potentially deforming the round which would ld hurt the accuracy being that everything expands when hot. But i have shot 1500 rounds out if my Kimber hero custom thats heavily modified as well and my grouping never changed and the firearm never changed its performance but on the other hand sometimes it holds true to you get what you pay for. But my kimber eas valued at roughly 3k but performed good stock just i nodded it to fit my preferences. The powder might be to hot and pre detonate ir as i stated above buy being hot ive never had bad results. We train often and dont see negative problems from heat

Does a rifle lose accuracy when it gets warm? I'm not sure about losing accuracy, but it will shift your POI.
I have a 30-06 that is consistently a half MOA rifle out to 400 yards with my hand load. It has a light contour barrel, and after 3 rounds the POI will begin shifting high left. It will move about 3/4" each shot until I hit 10 rounds down range. At that point, she will hold the same 1/2 MOA group up to 30 rounds down range. Just my POI has now shifted almost 5" from my cold bore zero.
The same thing occurs with my 7mm-08. It has a slightly heavier barrel and will shoot 7 rounds before my POI starts shifting. This rifle will start shooting low right on a hot barrel.
Oddly enough, my 7mm-08 will shoot a clean bore shot in the same group as my dirty bore shots. I've never had a rifle that didn't need a fouling shot before shooting groups, but this particular barrel doesn't need that. Just goes to show how every barrel is different, and you have to learn your firearm. No two barrels are exactly the same.

The other silencer might be fine you just might have to break it in. Use the same ammo run 20 or more rounds through it enogh to get it hot. When the can heats up the plates ever so slightly move emeffecting the shot. So while its hot and moved to where ever its going to move to the bullets will punch a straight hole eventually. Its not huge differences but still enough to effect your shot. If your trying to save money you can run the silencer on a ar15. It wot be silent but it wil heat up the silencer then carefully put it on the other rifle and ren a few more.

No debate it is a fact when the barrel gets hot point of impact changes and the grouping grows. That is a fact period. I have a 270 with a 1" profile barrel that yeah you can shoot 75 rounds or more before it gets hot, but once it gets hot the grouping goes from 1/4 MOA to about 1 MOA, and at about 100 rounds it's at about 2MOA. So it is fact that a hot barrel changes accuracy.

In the 90s STEYR ARMS partnered with legendary US Marine, rifle expert and shooting instructor Jeff Cooper to develop the MANNLICHER SCOUT.
Jeff Cooper wanted the rifle to be shorter than one meter and lighter than 3 kg.
Its optic had to be mounted as far forward as possible and it had to have iron sights. This was to ensure secure target acquisition up to 400 meters.
In addition to this, the MANNLICHER SCOUT carried a spare magazine in its butt stock.
2023 marks the year STEYR ARMS presents the newly designed STEYR SCOUT II. Making perfect just a bit better.
To achieve even better accuracy housing and bedding block are milled from one piece of aluminium.
Instead of the Weaver-Rail the STEYR SCOUT II integrates a top Picatinny-Rail and a M-LOK mount at 6 o‘clock at the forend. You have the older version developed in the 90s the new version is better and has better accuracy and mounting for scopes back in the 90s that's the type of mounting they used

The best part is the company that made your new chassis also made the Mac 10 clone you had in your last video. By the way they make great double stack 1911s

Ahh counter strike fans will like this lol.
As far as the scope not holding zero, could it be a tracking issue?
If you adjusted it to shoot the longer distance, then adjusted it back. Just a guess.

My guess is something with the scope, rings probably happened when riding in the sxs. I’d re torque them then send it again things loosen and move.

Honestly surprised he didn’t want the recording.. that’s free business promo. Now from a straw purchase perspective… I understand. Record it… send someone in later… happens… protecting himself.

Check your torque specs on your rings,2 uggaduggas doesn’t work. MPA chassis, torque to 65in/lbs. I also took the lug lock out of all of my MPA chassis when I ran them.

Something is moving around on that 22-250 that's the only reason it would do that I have a savage axis a it's still in the factory stock all I did was bed it and I can shoot 30 rounds without stoping the groups open up after about 6 shots but the zero doesn't move
