Practice and the final laps of the 1974 Music City 420 Cup race from Nashville. The race was postponed by rain midway through Saturday night and completed on Sunday.

I was surprised to see that Marty Robbins purple and yellow race car was not there. Marty won a lot of late model car races on Saturday night before the grand old opery. Previous engagement l guess. Great memories 😊
Always alot of fun at the cup races at nashville in 70,s and 80,s. I think these were the only night races on the schedule for a while and it was a great atmosphere. Good times

We sat up on the hill behind the backstretch when the Winston Cup guys were in town cause it cost more than regular Sat nite races. Man these were the good ole days
Was 11 years old and in the crowd by the flag stand at the end of the race in the video. Too blurry to pick myself out of the crowd though, but I remember being right at the gate waiting for them to open the access to the pits after the race. Distinctly remember watching George Follmer in the 15 car going head on into turn 1 after a blown tire on the last couple laps. Always a good race back then when Petty wins. Seems like yesterday.
Open trailers are awesome. I wish short track cars would go back to them.
